THE REAL POWER COUPLES

Now that we have defined society's view of a "power couple", let's go into what Islam's view is. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) sums it up nicely when he says, "Join your children in marriage (boys or girls), because thereby Allah renders their tempers good, adds to their sustenance, and increases their sense of honor." He also said, "The person who marries gains half of his Faith; then he must be conscious of God for the remaining half." So according to these narrations, an Islamic power couple is faithful, has a good temper, and is honorable - quite a departure from society's definition of a power couple! Here are just some examples of the differences between a regular power couple and an Islamic power couple.

OUR ALLEGIANCE TO ISLAM

It is not shocking to see that many youth avoid involvement in youth groups due to the fact they are often run by individuals set in their own ways and biases towards others. The lack of willingness among youth groups and other Islamic organizations has disillusioned many talented individuals of merits whose abilities would have served Islam profoundly in our era. Indeed, the believers are brothers to one another, and yet we say this phrase with our tongues while maintaining dislike and discord towards other servants in our hearts. While organizations that have clearly violated Islamic laws should be disassociated from in the spirit of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, this is rarely the case. Many times, petty and un-Islamic issues are the basis for Islamic groups trash-talking and destroying the work of others. In countless situations, we see the diseases of the soul manifest themselves in our actions towards other organizations.

THE ROLE OF WOMEN IN THE GOVERNMENT OF IMAM MAHDI by AYATOLLAH MAHDI HADAVI TEHRANI

Islam raised the station of women to such an extent that the Prophet Muhammad accepted their pledges of allegiance. They were allowed to accompany the Muslim armies to the battlefield as teachers and nurses and moral support for the troops. The Muslim woman could be a teacher and defender of the law, and by fulfilling these roles, could rise above the station of the angels. From one perspective, the importance of her role exceeds man's role, for she "creates" other human beings and rears them. In the words of Ayatollah Khomeini, "It is because of the upbringing of the mother that a man ascends to his perfection."

IMPORTANT - BE VERY VERY CAREFUL.

IMPORTANT

A stock clerk was sent to clean up a storeroom in Maui , Hawaii .

When he got back, he was complaining that the storeroom was really filthy and that he had noticed dried mouse/rat droppings in some areas.!
A couple of days later, he started to feel like he was coming down with a stomach flu, complained of sore joints and headaches, and began to vomit.

He went to bed and never really got up again. Within two days he was severely ill and weak. His blood sugar count was down to 66, and his face and eyeballs were yellow. He was rushed to the emergency at Pali-Momi, where he was diagnosed to be suffering from massive organ failure. He died shortly before midnight.
No one would have made the connection between his job and his death, had it not been for a doctor who specifically asked if he had been in a warehouse or exposed to dried rat/mouse droppings at anytime. They said there is a virus (much like the Hanta virus) that lives in dried rat and mouse droppings.

Once dried, these droppings are like dust and can easily be breathed in or ingested if a person does not wear protective gear or fails to wa sh face and hands thoroughly .

An autopsy was performed on the clerk to verify the doctor's suspicions.. .

This is why it is extremely important to ALWAYS carefully rinse off the tops of canned sodas or foods, and to wipe off pasta packaging, cereal boxes, and so on.

Almost everything you buy in a supermarket was stored in a warehouse at one time or another, and stores themselves often have rodents.

Most of us remember to wash vegetables and fruits but never think of boxes and cans.
The ugly truth is, even the most modern, upper-class, super store has rats and mice. And their warehouse most assuredly does!

Whenever you buy any canned soft drink, please make sure that you wash the top with running water and soap or, if that is not available, drink with a straw.
The investigation of soda cans by the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta discovered that the tops of soda cans can be encrusted with dried rat's urine, which is so toxic it can be lethal. Canned drinks and other foodstuffs are stored in warehouses and containers that are usually infested with rodents, and then they get transported to retail outlets without being properly cleaned.

Please forward this message to the people you care about.

ANGEL OF DEATH WITH MACE OF FIRE

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) says:

"O! Ali, When the Angel of Death (Israel) comes to a disbeliever he will come with a mace of fire. He will extract his life painfully. Seeing this, Hell will scream loudly (so that it may take this disbeliever to itself soon)."

Hearing this Ali (a.s.) sat up abruptly and said:

"O Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.), repeat to me this tradition. I have forgotten my pain after listening to it." Then he enquired, "Will anyone's soul from your Ummat be also extracted in this way and will anyone be subjected to such a severe punishment?"

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said:

"Yes! There are three types of people among the muslims whose souls shall be taken out this way. First group is of the unjust rulers. The second is of those who unjustly appropriate the wealth of orphans and the third is of those who give false witness."

God's Accuracy, and some say there is no God.

-the eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;
-those of the canary in 14 days;
-those of the barnyard hen in 21 days;
-The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
-those of the mallard in 35 days;
-The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
(Notice, they are all divisible by seven, the number of days in a week!)

God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant.
The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction.
No other quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs.
For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily.
The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first.
A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first.
God's wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of sections and segments, as well as in the number of grains.
-Each watermelon has an even number of stripes on the rind.
-Each orange has an even number of segments.
-Each ear of corn has an even number of rows.
-Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains.
-Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas,
and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number.
-The waves of the sea roll in on shore twenty-six to the minute in all
kinds of weather.
All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks, and the Lord specified thirty fold, sixty fold, and a hundred fold - all even numbers.
He has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day, so that Linnaeus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed!

I HOPE YOU FIND THIS AS FASCINATING AS I DID.

DUAS GIFT FROM IMAM REZA (A.S.)

1. For seeking well-being and thanking for it

He said that once `Ali b. al-Husayn (AS) saw a person doing tawaaf of al-Ka`bah and saying: O God I ask from You the patience (as-Sabr).

The Imam striked his shoulder and said: you have asked for affliction (balaa'),
[Instead] say: Allaahumma innee as-alukal-`aafiyah, wash-shukra `alal-`aafiyah.
O Allah I ask from You the well-being, and to be grateful for the well-being.

2. For seeking richness

From Imam Reza (AS) On the authority of his forefathers who said that the Prophet (s) said: He who says every day 100 times [the following] will attract richness through it and drive away poverty:

Laa ilaaha illaal-laahul-malikul-Haqqul-mubeen (There is no god, except Allah, the Ruler, the Real, the Manifest)

3. Cure from all sorts of pain

Khalid b. al-`Absee has narrated that: `Ali b. Musa (AS) taught me the following instructing me to teach fellow believers for it works with all sort of pains and aches.
U`idhoo nafsee birabbil-ardhi wa rabbis-samaa' U`idhoo nafsee billadhee laa yadhurru ma`a-smihi daa' U`idhoo nafsee billadhee-smuhu barakatun washifaa'

I seek protection for my soul in the Lord of the earth and the Lord of the heavens I seek protection for my soul in the One in whose name no sickness can hurt I seek protection for my soul in the One whose name is Blessed and a Cure

No doubt, Allah's Commands are issued for the benefits of individuals

No doubt, Allah's Commands are issued for the benefits of individuals and societies. A pious man and woman, in order to gain these benefits, should always obey Allah's commands. Imam Baqir (a.s.) narrated ; "The most favorable work in front of Allah is that work which is continuously carried out by the believer, however insignificant it may." (Beharul Anwar; vil 71..pg. 219)

Of course, man , through his exercise and continuity of performing his task, attains growth; or else, he would stay in one status, which is a complete loss. In this regards Imam Sadiq (a.s.) has stated: "Anybody who spends two consecutive days identically, he is a loser; If anybody's work art the end of the second day is worse than the work of the first day, he is cursed; anybody who does not improve is a loser, as well. And death is better than life for a loser." (Birahul Anwar; vol. 17..pg. 173)

It is on the basis of this fact that Imam (a.s) orders his son and his other spiritual sons to obey Allah's commands so that the spirit of development and attaining genuine benefits and the obedience of Allah's commands are kept alive in children."

[*Please check the dates with  local Masjid in your country/area]

On the day of Eid ul-Fitr,
Amir al-Mu'minin Imām ‘Alī ibn Abī Tālib (A.S)
delivered a sermon in which he said:

"O Servants of Allah! Verily the minimum reward for those men and women who fasted (during Ramadhan), is an Angel, who calls out to them on the last day of the month of Ramadhan (saying): O Servants of  Allah! Rejoice of  the Glad Tiding that all your previous sins have been forgiven. Therefore, watch out in those things which serve as your re-creation (on this day and days to follow)"
