INITIATE GREETINGS AND EMBRACE

An act so simple, and yet forsaken too many a time by many of us.
Imam Hussain said, "Seventy rewards is the share of the one who initiates a greeting, and only one reward belongs to the one who returns the greeting" (Bihar al-Anwar)
The Holy Prophet said: "When you meet each other, then initiate greeting and embrace, and when you separate from each other, then depart with seeking forgiveness." (Bihar al-Anwar)

PARENTS I WISH YOU WERE...........

It was one of the most memorable workshops that I have ever conducted. The other day, I asked participants to complete a group activity and share at least one heart touching story. One of the weakest groups shared a story that re-touched my heart and made me feel some tears in my eyes.
Thought to share what I heard the other day.
They said, An 80 year old man was sitting on the chair in his house along with his 45 years old highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, "What is this?" The Son replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time, "What is this?" The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".
After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time, What is this?" At this time some expressions of irritation were felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, "What is this?" This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"
A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the son read it, the following words were written in the diary:-
"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the chair, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated I rather felt affection for my innocent child".
One of the group members ended the story with a hand-written note, “I wish if my parents were alive – I need to sorry them”
Well, not surprisingly I found few participants literally crying after this story and two of them left the conference room and didn’t come back. I don’t know why.
What I understood is, while the little child asked him 23 times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.
If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents.
From today say this aloud, "I want to see my parents happy forever. They have cared for me ever since I was a little child. They have always showered their selfless love on me. They crossed all mountains and valleys without seeing the storm and heat to make me a person presentable in the society today".
Say a prayer to God, "I will serve my old parents in the BEST way. I will say all good and kind words to my dear parents, no matter how they behave.
  • The day you find that we have become very old , try to have some patience with us and try to understand us.
  • If we get dirty while eating …  If we have some difficulty dressing… be patient! Remember the hours that we spent teaching you these things when you were small.
  • If we repeat the same thing dozens of time, do not interrupt us! When you were small, you wanted us to tell you the same story again and again until you fell asleep. And we did it happily!
  • By seeing our ignorance of new technologies, do not laugh at us but give me time to understand these.
  • If we do not wash ourselves so often under the shower, do not reprimand and do not tell us that it is a shame. Remember how many excuses we had to invent to make you take a bath when you were small.
  • We taught you so many things …. to eat well …to dress well… to behave well… how to confront the problems of the life … Help us in the same way as when we held your hands to teach you take your first steps.
  • If we sometimes lose memory or are not able to follow a conversation, give us the necessary time to recollect and if we do not get there, do not become nervous and arrogant person because the most important thing for us… is to be with you and to be able to speak to you.
  • You do not have to feel sad, unfortunate or incompetent in front of our old age and of our state of mind. You have to stay near us, try to understand what we lived for.
  • Help us enjoy every moment now as after your birth we compromised and lived our lives for you only.
  • Don’t shout at us, we feel running out of home far away from everyone similarly you felt once in your childhood.
  • Don’t panic if you find us sad and quiet. We may not be able to catch the speed of your generation.
  • Help us walk, help us to end our lives with love and patience. The only thing that we need from you is a smile and
    a lot of love.
  • We don’t like the way you talk to us in front of your friends and spouse.
  • Do you still think that we have enough, energy and patience time to compromise more?
  • Try to understand that at certain age, we do not really live any more. We simply survive!
  • We know you don’t like our some friends – You remember, We didn’t like your friends too, but always let you party with them.
  • And when one day, we shall say that we do not want to live any more … that we want to die, do not get angry … because one day, you will also understand!
Parents (Late)
You wish if were alive…
I believe that if you have reached the end, you must be in a different state of mind. Write me an email now and share what you feel and then go back to parents and hug them.

ONE PARAGRAPH THAT EXPLAINS LIFE

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS which he got due to infected blood he received during a heart surgery in 1983. From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which  conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?

To this Arthur Ashe replied: The world over -- 5 million children start playing tennis, 50 thousand learn to play tennis, 5 thousand learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, 2 to the finals, When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD "Why me?". And today in pain I should not be asking GOD "Why me?"

Happiness keeps u Sweet, Trials keep u Strong, Sorrow keeps u Human, Failure Keeps u Humble, Success keeps u Glowing, But only God Keeps u Going.....

Keep Going..... THANK ALLAH (ST) FOR ALL THE  NIYAMAT HE HAS BESTOWED ON US

Amazing Findings of Holy Quran!

STATISTICAL MIRACLES OF QURAN

Quran is the only book on the face of the earth that starts with the most daring and challenging claim in Surah Al Baqarah verse 2 that THERE IS NO DOUBT ABOUT THIS BOOK.

Besides its various miracles, one finds very interesting statistical facts in it. Few are mentioned here:

1. It is written in Quran in Surah Aal Imran verse 59 that THE CASE OF ADAM IS SIMILAR TO THAT OF JESUS IN FRONT OF ALLAH. then the names of both the messengers have appeared in Quran in DIFFERENT PLACES and in DIFFERENT CONTEXT. but Adam (AS)'s name appeared 25 times and Jesus (AS)'s name also appeared 25 times simply because Allah said they are similar!

2. Allah said in surah Al Baqarah that RIBA (interest/mark up) is not similar to Bai'e (trade) therefore the word Trade appeared 6 times while Riba appeared 7 times!

3. In Quran, Al-yaum (days) appeared 365 times, Al-shahr (month) 12 times.

4. Quran says that the life of this world is a pair of the life of here after, therefore the word Ad-Dunya (This World) appeared 115 times and Al-Aakhira (The Hereafter) also 115 times!

5. word for angels (Al- malaikah) came 88 times and that for satans (shayateen) also for 88 times!

6. Quran says that every living creature has to die. thus Al-Hayat (Life) came 145 times and Al-Maut (Death) also came 145 times!

7. Quran is the only religious scripture which gives over all equal rights to both men and women. thus Al-Rajul (Man) came 24 times and Al-Nisaa (Women) also came 24 times!

8. Quran says "to every nation or a tribe have we sent a messenger" so the word People (Qaum) came 50 times and Messenger (Rasul) also appeared 50 times!

9. Quran says in Surah Al Hujraat verse 15 that the compulsory condition for a person to be a Muslim/Momin is Jehad (struggle in the way of Islam) thus the word Muslim came 41 times and Jihad 41 times!

10. Quran mentions the word Zakat 32 times and also Barakah 32 times

11. AND A VERY INTERESTING FACT....

Quran uses Al-Bahar (Sea) 32 times and Al-Bar (Land) 13times

If We Add Up The Total Words Of Both "Sea" (32) And "Land"(13) We Get 45.

32 + 13 = 45

Now If We Do A Simple Calculation to find out percentages:

32/45 X 100 % = 71.11% of Water
13/45 X 100 % = 28.88% of Land

which we all know are the exact percentages of water and land on earth respectively!

This is the just one statistical proof that Quran is the word of Allah!

EVILS ARE IN TWO THINGS- REVEALING SECRETS AND KEEPING BAD COMPANY

Women usually like to know about their husbands' secrets, their earnings, their decisions about the future, and their work. They expect men not to hide anything from them. On the contrary men are not willing to tell their wives everything. As a result, some husbands and wives constantly argue over this matter . Some women say that their husbands do not trust them; do not let them read their letters; do not tell them the amount of their earnings; are not straight with them; do not answer their questions properly; and sometimes lie.

Incidentally, men do not mind telling their secrets to their wives. But they believe that their wives do not keep secrets; that they relate to others everything they know, and might even cause trouble for their husbands. If one intends to find out the secrets of others, it suffices for one to call on their wives. Some wives, by knowing their husbands' secrets, blackmail them, and thus misuse their husbands' trust in them.

Obviously men, up to a certain extent, have a point. Women, in comparison with men, are more under the influence of their emotions. When women become angry, it would be difficult for them to control themselves, and by knowing their husbands' secrets, they could put their men in trouble. Therefore, if a woman is interested in knowing her husband's secrets, she must be very careful not to speak of them anywhere without his permission. She must not even tell her best friends or relatives. It is not keeping a secret if you tell someone about it, and ask him not to repeat it to anybody, otherwise everyone will find out about it.

Therefore a wise person is one who does not tell his secret to anyone. "Imam Ali (AS) stated: 'The chest of a wise man is the safe for his secrets'."

"Imam ' Ali (AS) also stated: 'The benevolence of this world and the next is in two things: keeping secrets, and friendship with the good people; and all the evils are in two things: revealing secrets, and keeping bad company'."

FEW HADEES ON YOUR DAILY LIFE

"Imam Sadiq (AS) stated: 'Almighty Allah likes adornment, being beautiful, and finds the pretention of being poor as distasteful. He likes to see the effects of his blessings upon his worshipper, that is to see him clean, tidy and using scent, to decorate his house, to dust off his house environment, to turn the lights on before sunset -because this deed takes away the poverty from home and increases sustenance.'"

"The Prophet (SA) of Allah stated: ' A dirty person is a bad servant (to Allah)'."

"Imam Ali (AS) stated: 'Keep your house clean of spider's webs, because a spider's web is a cause of poverty'." "The Prophet (SA) of Allah stated: 'Do not leave the rubbish inside the house at night, because Shaytan (Satan), i.e. pollution and uncleanliness takes its abode there'."

"The Prophet (SA) of Allah also stated: 'One's clothes must always be clean'."

"In addition, the Prophet (SA) of Allah stated: 'Do not leave an oily cloth in the house, because Satan takes its abode there',"

"Imam Sadiq (AS) stated: 'Washing dishes and cleaning around the house increases the sustenance',"

"Imam Sadiq (AS) also stated: 'Do not leave the dishes without a cover, otherwise satan spits at them and uses them',"

"In addition, Imam Sadiq (AS) stated: 'Fruits are sprayed with poisonous substances, so wash them before eating',"

"Imam Kazim (AS) stated: 'Taking a bath every other day would fatten one',"

"The Prophet (SA) of Allah stated: 'Do not leave the rubbish behind the front door of the house because Satan takes its abode there',"

"The Prophet (SA) of Allah also stated: 'If it had not been something inconvenient for my followers, I would have ordered them to brush their teeth with every wudu (ablution) for prayer (i.e., five times a day)',"

"Imam Sadiq (AS) stated: 'Cutting one's nails on Fridays would prevent one from being affected by leprosy, insanity, alopeica and blindness',"

"It has been related that: 'Satan takes his sleep underneath the (long) nails',"

"Imam Ali (AS) stated: 'Washing one's hands, before having meals, would prolong life, prevent one's clothes from becoming dirty and would enlighten one's eyes
',"

ACTS OF MUSHTAHIBAAT

Ghusl of Friday

Ghusl al-Jum'ah is so commendable that the Holy Prophet told Imam Ali, "O Ali, do ghusl every Friday, even if you have to sell that day's sustenance and go hungry in order to purchase water, because there is no greater sunnat than this [ghusl]." (Mafatih al-Jinan)
The ghusl can be performed at any time on Friday from sunrise till sunset, although the recommended time is before midday. And if missed on Friday, its qadha may be performed the following day.

Praying with Perfume On

Our Prophet was very fond of perfume and would always urge his friends and followers to make a habit of using it regularly. He spent much of his savings on purchasing perfumes, and especially encouraged its use on Fridays to prevent any bad odor from bothering others in the congregational prayers. Although striving to emulate our beloved Prophet is reason enough to practice this, narrations also tell us that prayer performed with perfume applied is better than 70 prayers without!

Brushing Your Teeth Often

This may be seem needless to mention, yet brushing the teeth is amongst the most recommended etiquettes enjoined by our Holy Prophet – so much that it could have been made obligatory! For he said, "If it were not hard upon my Ummah, I would enjoin them to brush (their teeth) with every prayer." (Bihar al-Anwar)
Traditions state that two units of prayer performed after brushing the teeth is superior to seventy units performed without it. It is further stated that if one forgets to brush his teeth before wudhu, it is mustahab to do so after it and to rinse the mouth three times with water. (Bihar al-Anwar)
Not only before offering prayers, but brushing teeth is also recommended before performing wudhu, at the time of reciting the Qur'an, at daybreak, and on waking up from sleep
