Interpretation of the Holy Quran
Imam Sajjad (a.s) said: "There are four things that perfect your Islam and cleanse your sins, and enable you to meet the Lord pleased with you in the Hereafter:
1- Fulfilling all your promises to the people,
2- Honesty with the people,
3- Being ashamed of whatever is shameful near God and the people.
4- Being good-tempered with the family."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "Invite the people to do good deeds by acting, not just words, so that people see your efforts in the way of worshipping, piety and honesty." Imam Baqir (a.s) told Raebih: "Men will tell the truth so much that they reach the rank of the honest ones near God." Imam Reza (a.s) said: "We are a family who consider our promises as debts just as the Prophet of God (a.s) did." The Prophet (a.s) said: "(On the Resurrection Day) those of you who are the most honest, most trustworthy, the ones with the best temper and the ones closest to the people will be closest to me and will deserve my intercession the most." Ameer al-Momineen (a.s) said: "Nothing but the tongue deserves more to be locked up for a long time." Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "You are considered to be a good-doer as long as you are quiet, but as soon as you start to talk, you will be recorded as a good-doer or a wicked person." Imam Sajjad (a.s) said: "The rights of the tongue include forbidding it from swearing, and vain talk and fostering proper talking and kindness to the people." God's Prophet (a.s) said: "Have six traits and I will guarantee Heaven for you:
1- Do not lie when you quote someone,
2- Do not violate your promises.
3- Do not cheat in what you are entrusted with.
4- Do not look at what is forbidden to see.
5- Guard your chastity,
6- Watch what you do and say."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "Be a source of honor and respect for us, not a means of disgust. Talk nicely with the people. Watch your tongue, and do not boast or swear."
God's Prophet (a.s) said: "Whoever stays quiet will be saved."
God's Prophet (a.s) said: "Calamities depend upon what we say." God's Prophet (a.s) said: "Most of man's mistakes are due to what he says. If you watch your tongue, God will cover up your faults." God's Prophet (a.s) said: "If someone gossips about a believer regarding what is true, God will not reunite him with that believer in the Hereafter. If someone gossips about a believer regarding what is false, the ties between them will be cut off and he will reside in Hell forever. What a terrible penalty!" Ameer al-Momineen (a.s) said: "Whoever gossips -which is like eating the flesh of the people- is a liar if he says he is legitimately born. Abstain from gossiping since it is good food for the dogs in the Fire (of Hell)." Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "Divulging the faults of other believers which God has hidden is a form of gossiping. Claiming what is not true about your believing brothers is a form of accusation." Imam Baqir (a.s) said: "How bad is a hypocrite with two faces and two tongues. He admires his brother in his presence, but gossips about him in his absence. He will envy his brothers if they get rich, and will not help them if they get in trouble."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "Whoever faces people one way but changes face and gossips behind their backs will be resurrected with two tongues made of fire on the Resurrection Day."
Jesus, the son of Mary (a.s) told one of his companions: "Do not treat others the way you do not like to be treated. If someone slaps you on the right cheek, turn your left cheek towards him." Jesus (a.s) said: "Do not gossip, so that no one gossips about you. Do not dig a ditch for your brothers since you will fall in it yourself. Whatever you do, you will be treated likewise." Abdullah ibn Khowzad asked the Prophet (a.s): "O' Prophet of God! Does a believer ever steal?" He said: "Maybe sometimes." He asked: "Does a believer ever lie?" He said: "No.""It is those who believe not in the signs of God that forge falsehood. It is they who lie." [The Holy Quran: Nahl 16:105] God's Prophet (a.s) said: "Woe to whoever lies while quoting someone so that others laugh. Woe to him!"
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "The form of charity that God loves is peace-making among the people when they get corrupted, and making them closer to each other when they get disunited."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "One will be questioned about lying except for the following cases:
1- When you want to make peace between two people and treat them in a way you have not done so before.
2- When a man uses trickery at war.
3- When a man promises something to his family just to keep them content."
Imam Baqir (a.s) said: "Any form of false swearing is a sin except for those which are beneficial for a believer and help defend a Muslim's religion."
The Prophet (a.s) said: "Honor any of the noble men of your tribe who come to you." Imam Reza (a.s) quoted on the authority of Ameer al-Momineen (a.s): "Only donkeys turn down being honored." They asked: "What does that mean?" He said: "Whoever does not smell a fragrant scent that is offered to him or does not sit in a meeting where people offer him a good place to sit is just like what was said (about the donkey) ." Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "There are three people whose rights are honored by all except the hypocrites known for hypocrisy:
1- Those who have lived as a Muslim until their hair turns white,
2- Those who usually read the Quran, and
3- Those who are known as just leaders."
God's Prophet (a.s) said: "Whenever you meet one of your believing brothers, greet him and shake hands. God the Almighty respects the angels for greeting, and you should follow the angels in this respect."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "Shaking hands has the same reward as that of those who immigrate for the sake of God."
Abi Obeydeh al-Haz'za narrated that once when he was travelling with Imam Baqir (a.s), the Imam (a.s) would shake hands with him whenever he got off his camel for some reason, and got back on. He asked Imam Baqir (a.s) the reason.
Imam Baqir (a.s) said: "Whenever two believers shake hands, they will leave each other without any sins."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "Whenever two men shake hands, the reward of the one who initiates the handshake is more than the other one. Also know that due to the hand shaking, all the sins will be eliminated, and no sin will remain."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "God's Prophet was never the first man to withdraw his hands when he shook hands with other men."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "God's Prophet never allowed a man to shake hands with a woman, even if she was an old woman."
Ishaq ibn Am'mar narrated that once a man asked Imam Sadiq (a.s): "What is the reward of two believers who hug each other when they meet one another."
He replied: "When they hug each other, they will be encompassed with Mercy, and if they do this for God's sake, and they have no material intentions for so doing, they will be told: "God blesses you. Do it again." When they get close to one another and talk, the angels will tell each other:
"Let's go away. They are having a private conversation, and God will keep their secrets." Ishaq asked the Imam (a.s): "Will there be nothing recorded even though the Almighty God said: "Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it)." [The Holy Quran: Qaf 50:18] Then the Imam sighed, tears flowed from his eyes and his beard got wet, and he said: "When two believers meet each other God orders the angels to respect them and maintain their distance. This is the honor of the two believers. Even though the angels do not hear them and do not record anything, God who is aware of their
hidden words and deeds knows what they say and records it."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "The speed of development of mutual feelings between two good people when they meet is similar to that of combining rain water with river water even if they do not verbally express their friendship. However, the distance between wicked people when they meet each other-even if they verbally express
their friendship-is similar to the lack of feelings of the four-legged animals, even if they spend a lot of time eating grass together in a field."
Abi Basir asked the Imam (a.s) about a Muslim shaking hand with Jews or Christians. He said: "It is fine if you shake hands with some cloth in between, but if they touch your hands, wash them."
In another tradition we read: "If you do not find any water, rub your hands against a wall."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "You believers have spiritual illumination by which you can be recognized. When one of you meets the other, he kisses just that light spot on the forehead."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "It is not proper to kiss a girl once she reaches the age of six."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "You are only allowed to kiss your small child and your wife on the lips."
A man kissed Imam Sadiq (a.s)'s hand. Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "This is only allowed for the Prophet or those under special consideration of the Prophet."
Imam Kazim (a.s) said: "It is fine to kiss your relatives whom you cannot marry. You can kiss your brother on his cheeks and kiss your leaders on the forehead."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "You believers have a spiritual illumination by which you can be recognized. Whenever you want to shake hands with one another, you can see the light in the other one's face when you greet each other."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "When Abraham -the friend of the Merciful (a.s) was seeking a pasture for his sheep in Mount Bayt al-Mughadas, he heard a voice. When he looked more carefully he saw a man who was nearly twelve-hand spans (or feet) tall standing in prayer. Abraham said: "O' servant of God! Who are you praying to?" The man said: "To the Lord of the heavens." Abraham (a.s) asked: "Do you have any
relatives?" He said: "No." Abraham asked: "Then what do you eat?" He said: "I save the fruits of the trees in the summer, and eat them in the winter." Abraham asked: "Where do you live?" He said: "On the mountain." Abraham said: "Can I spend the night in your house?" The man said: "There is a hard to cross river on the way which we must cross." Abraham asked: "How do you cross it?" The man said: "I walk on top of the water." Abraham said: "Let's go. Maybe God will grant me what He has granted you." The worshiping man took Abraham's hand, and went to the river, and both walked on top of that river and crossed it. Then they both went to his house.
Abraham asked the man: "Which day is the greatest day?" He said: "That on which the people get closer to each other." Abraham said: "Do you want us both to raise our hands in prayer for God to protect us from the evils of that day?" He said: "What do you have to do with my praying? I swear by God that I have been praying for three years now but God does not fulfill my prayers." Abraham said: "Do you want me to tell you why your prayers are not answered?" He said: "Yes." Abraham said:
"God does not fulfill the prayers of one who prays and whom God loves so that he continues to pray and ask Him for what he needs. But when God does not like someone, He will immediately fulfill his needs so he does not pray again, or He makes him give up all hope in praying." Then Abraham asked him what he had
asked for. He said: "A young fellow passed by here with some sheep. I asked him who owned the sheep. He said "They belong to Abraham, the friend of the Merciful."
Then he said: "I prayed to God to show me His friend on the Earth if He has any."
Abraham said: "Your prayer has been responded to since I am Abraham, the friend of the Merciful." Then he hugged him. Hugging became a tradition from this time on.
Shaking hands became a tradition after the Prophet Muhammad's appointment."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "Shaking hands with a believer has one thousand rewards."
Imam Sadiq (a.s) quoted on the authority of his noble father (a.s) on the authority of Imam Ali (a.s): "Do not greet women."
Ibn Abi Omir's sisters narrated that they went to see Imam Sadiq (a.s) and asked him: "Can a woman visit her believing brothers?" He said: "Yes." Then they asked: "Can they shake hands with him?" He said: "It is fine if their hands are covered with cloth. When the women were swearing their allegiance to God's Prophet, the Prophet had pulled his hands into his sleeves, and they touched his sleeves."
Imam Javad (a.s) said: "When the women wanted to swear allegiance to the Prophet of God (a.s), he would put his hand in a pan of water and they would immerse their hands in the same pan of water. This is how they expressed their faith in God, and acknowledged His Prophet, and accepted the religious laws of Islam.:
In another tradition we read: "The Prophet of God (a.s) called the women, placed his hand in a pan of water and removed it, and then asked them to place their hands in the pan of water to swear allegiance to him."
Imam Reza (a.s) said: "Sneezing is divine, but yawning is Satanic."
Imam Baqir (a.s) said: "Sneezing is good and useful for the body, and makes one remember God." Someone said: "There are some who say God's Prophet (a.s) never sneezed." Imam Baqir (a.s) said: "Whoever lies will not benefit from Muhammad's intercession."
A man sneezed near Imam Sadiq (a.s) and said: "Praise be to God, and
peace be upon Muhammad, the Prophet of God." Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "You said what was rightfully due to God and the Prophet. What about us?"
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "Whenever the Prophet of God (a.s) sneezed, Imam Ali (a.s) said: "May God exalt your name, and indeed He will". Whenever Imam Ali (a.s) sneezed, the Prophet (a.s) said: "May God raise your position, and indeed He will."
Sa'd ibn Abi Khalaf narrated that whenever Imam Baqir (a.s) sneezed, they told him "May God bless you" and he said: "May God forgive and bless you." Whenever someone sneezed, Imam Baqir (a.s) said: "May God bless you."
Ameer al-Momineen (a.s) said: "God will cure the ear-aches and tooth-aches of whoever sneezes and says: "Praise be to the Lord of the two Worlds under all circumstances."
Imam Baqir (a.s) said: "Pray three times for whoever sneezes, then leave him."
Abdul-Rahman ibn Abi Najran narrated that once a Christian man sneezed near Imam Sadiq (a.s). Those present said: "May God guide you." Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "May God bless you." They said: "He is a Christian. Why do you say this?" He replied: "God will not guide him unless He blesses him."
God's Prophet (a.s) said: "Whenever one sneezes while he is talking, this is a sign that he is telling the truth."
Moavieh ibn Am'mar asked Imam Sadiq (a.s) regarding the Almighty God's statement: "Lower thy voice." [The Holy Quran: Luqman 31:19]
Imam Sadiq (a.s) said: "This implies that you should not sneeze aloud or talk in a high tone of voice at war unless you are inviting the people to follow God."
Imam Baqir (a.s) said: "When an ill person sneezes it is a sign of improvement and physical health."

25th Zilqad " Dahwul Ardh" The Spreading of the Earth Day & birthday of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) and Prophet E'esaa (A.S.)
Almighty Allah in Surat al-Nazi'aat 79:30 speaking clearly about dahwul ardh says: "and the earth-after that He spread it out (dahahaa).."
1. What is Dahwul Ardh ?
"Dahwul Ardh" - the 25th of Dhulqa'dah, according to a tradition of the Holy Prophet (s) reported by one of his Sahabi - 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud , is the day when the earth was spread for the advantage of human beings. The phrase "Dahwul Ardh" literally means "The spread of the earth". In another tradition it is reported that the first Rahmah & blessing descended on this very day.
Hence it is a very important occasion indeed. According to a tradition of the Holy Prophet (s), whosoever fasts on this day his fast would equal 70 years of fasting.
Having known these merits, should we limit our celebration with fasting and the expression of joy, or should our struggle transcend beyond that? This obviously would depend on our vision about this important day. And in order to understand properly the importance of this day, we should understand the earth better.
Understanding the Earth Better
We would like to now ask the Holy Qur'an two basic questions about the earth:
A) WHY WAS THE EARTH CREATED?
The Holy Qur'an in chapter 20, verse 53 says:"He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you."
Allamah Tabataba'i in his Al-Mizan says:"Thus Allah stationed man in the earth to live an earthly life, so that he may earn a provision for his heavenly and exalted life, in the manner that a baby is stationed in the cradle, and is brought up for a more sacred and developed life..." (vol. 14, pg. 171)
From this we come to realize that the earth was created as a preparing ground & means for human perfection and the purity of the heart. Sadly, however, many a people, instead of maintaining it for a good Hereafter, tend to destroy it for selfish gains.
B) DO THE HUMAN BEINGS EMPLOY THE EARTH FOR THE PURPOSE IT WAS CREATED?
The Holy Qur'an in chapter 30, verse 41 clearly talks of a people who instead of practically thanking Allah (swt) by utilizing the earth for its sacred purpose cause mischief therein and subsequently face its evil consequences:
"Corruption has appeared in the land and sea, for that men's own hands have earned, that He may let them taste some of that which they have done, that haply so they may return."
And in chapter 7, verse 10, Almighty Allah says:"Indeed We made you live in the earth and made therein for you the means of livelihood; little is it that you thank."
In this verse, "little is it that you thank" should not merely taken as "verbal thanks," for the reality of "shukr" is to use the gift for the purpose it was created.
The twenty-fifth night of Dhu’l-Qa`dah;
The Earth Spreading night ( from Mafatin Ul Jinan)
This night is called laylat dahw al-arz (the night at which the earth was spread on the water where the Holy Ka`bah is now situated). Being distinctively honorable, at this night the mercy of Almighty Allah is poured on people. A great reward is obtained by those who practice acts of worship at this night. `Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Washsha’ has narrated that when he was young, he was with his father in the hospitality of Imam al-Reza(`a) at the twenty-fifth night of Dhu’l-Qa`dah. After they had their supper, Imam al-Riza (`a) said, “At the twenty-fifth night of Dhu’l-Qa`dah, Prophet Abraham was born, Prophet Jesus the son of Mary was born, and the earth was spread on the water where the Holy Ka`bah is now situated. Hence, if one observes fasting on this day, he will be given the reward of observing fasting in sixth months.” According to another narration, Imam al-Riza (`a) added, “Verily, on this day, al-Qa'im (i.e. Imam al-Mahdi) will appear.”
The twenty-fifth of Dhu’l-Qa`dah is one of the four days on which fasting is exclusively confirmed. According to a narration, to observe fasting on this day is equal to seventy year fasting. It also erases the sins of seventy years. According to another narration, to observe fasting on this day and to practice acts of worship at its night is equal (in reward) to one hundred year worship. Everything that is between the sky and the earth will ask God’s forgiveness for one who does these rites. On this day, the mercy of Almighty Allah has been spread. To practice acts of worship and hold sessions for mentioning Almighty Allah on this day bring about an abundant reward. Apart from fasting, acts of worship, remembrance of Almighty Allah, and bathing, there are two other acts that are advisably done on this day:
On this day, it is recommended to offer, in the morning, a prayer consisting of two units, reciting in the each unit Surah al-Fatihah once and repeating Surah al-Shams (No. 91) five times. After accomplishment, the following is said:
Then, one may pray Almighty Allah for granting his needs and then say the following prayer:
Second: In Misbah al-Mutahajjid, Shaykh al Tusi has mentioned that it is recommended to say the following prayer on this day:MP3 dua NEW Pdf pg
In his epistle entitled al-Arba`at Ayyam (The Four Days), Sayyid al-Damad has mentioned that to visit the holy tomb of Imam `Ali ibn Musa al-Riza (`a) on the day; i.e. the Earth Spreading Day, is the most preferable act. Similarly, to visit his tomb on the first of Rajab is highly desirable; therefore, he has urged on it greatly
Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w): He who introduces a good tradition will be gaining the reward of that traditions in addition to the rewards of everybody who follows it upto the day of Judgement. 15. Rights of Teacher
"The right of the one who trains you (sa`'is) through knowledge is magnifying him, respecting his sessions, listening well to him, and attending to him with devotion. You should not rise your voice toward him. You should never answer anyone who asks him about something, in order that he may be the one who answers. You should not speak to anyone in his session nor speak ill of anyone with him. If anyone ever speaks ill of him in your presence, you should defend him. You should conceal his faults and manifest his virtues. You should not sit with him in enmity or show hostility toward him in friendship. If you do all of this, Allah's angels will give witness for you that you went straight to him and learned his knowledge for Allah's sake, not for the sake of the people. And there is neither force nor strength save in Allah." Surely, the teacher is the maker of thought and civilization and does favor for all mankind, and especially as it concerns the learner, hence the Ima`m, peace be on him, praised his position and asked the learner to: A. Magnify and honor him with all kinds of magnification and honoring, for he does him great favor. B. Respect his sessions and to be polite during them. C. Listen carefully to his lectures, and attend to them with devotion. D. Empty his intellect to understand his lessons. It is natural that the student who does not devote himself to his teacher does not make of his attending his teacher's sessions. E. Leave pleasures and desires, for they are two basic conditions for learning sciences, especially the religious sciences, for he who devotes himself to pleasures learns nothing of sciences. F. To immortalize his teacher's message through spreading his knowledge.
14. Rights of Ima`ms
"The right of the possessor of authority (sulta`n) is that you know that you have been made as a trial for him. Allah is testing him through the authority He has given him over you. You should give him a sincere counsel, and should not quarrel with him. You should not expose yourself to his displeasure, for thereby you cast yourself by your hands into destruction and become his partner in his sin when he brings evil down upon you. And there is no strength save in Allah"
In these words the Ima`m, peace be on him, had highlighted the political affairs before he spoke about the rights. He mentioned the rights of the Ima`ms and rulers against subjects. He thought that kings, rulers, and governors were tried through their subjects. This is because of authority, which is among the most important factors of trial and seduction. As for the rights of kings and rulers against their subjects, they are:
A. They should be loyal to the legal authority and give it more counsel, that it may offer them more services such as construction, spreading security and welfare, and developing the country in all fields. It is natural that when the authority leads a life full of anxieties, disorders, and discords, it will be unable to carry out its duties.
B. They should not quarrel with the authority, for such quarrel brings about an inclusive destruction.
C. They should be mild toward the authority and respect it in a manner which does not oppose the religion.
D. They should not oppose and disobey the authority, for such an opposition and disobedience bring about serious damages for government and people. These are some rights of the authority against its subjects, which are necessary for the unity between people and their government.
13. Rights of Hady (immolation)
"The right of animals for immolation (hady) is that through it you desire Allah and you not desire His creation; through it you desire only the exposure of your soul to Allah's mercy and the deliverance of your spirit on the day you encounter Him. There is no strength save in Allah." In this paragraph, the Ima`m, peace be on him, has mentioned the rights of al-hady or the animals which the pilgrims to the Sacred House of Allah sacrifice at Mina`, in Mecca. The Ima`m highlighted that one should desire Allah through al-hady; he should not mix it with any corrupt intention such as dissimulation and seeking reputation, for Allah, the Exalted, does not accept such a sacrifice.
Then the Ima`m, peace be on him, mentioned that one could approach Allah through doing easy works, not difficult ones, for He did not legislate any difficult obligation.
12. Rights of Sadaqa
"The right of alms (sadaqa) is that you know it is a storing away with your Lord and a deposit for which you will have no need for witness. If you deposit it in secret, you will be more confident of it than if you deposit it in public. You should know that it repels afflictions and illnesses from you in this world and it will repel the Fire from you in the next world. There is no strength save in Allah." The Ima`m, peace be on him, underlined the importance of alms and regarded it as a storing away for the alms-giver with Allah. One gives alms for himself, for he will find it present with Allah on the day when neither property nor children profit him.
Also the Ima`m, peace be on him, stressed the importance of giving alms in secret, and that it should be free from reminding someone of it, for it is, in fact, belongs to him, so how does he remind the others of it? As secret alms was important, the Ima`m maintained a hundred families in Medina (Yathrib), while they did not recognize him who maintained them. We mentioned this in the previous chapters.
11. Rights of Fasting
"The right of fasting is that you know it is a veil which Allah has set up over your tongue, your hearing, your sight, your stomach, and your private part to protect you from the Fire. If you abandon the fast, you will have torn Allah's protective covering away from yourself. There is no strength save in Allah." As for fasting, it is among the most important beliefs in Islam. It has been mentioned in the tradition that it is protection from the Fire. Many psychological, moral, economic, social, and health profits result from it. Among them is that it strengthens the activity of will through which man achieves his important objectives in life. The Muslim researchers have mentioned the profits which result from fasting and written books about them. Any how, in his words, the Ima`m has mentioned what the fasting should do during their fast. He has mentioned that they should not confine their fasting to refraining from food and drink; rather they should withhold their tongues from telling lies and falsehood, their ears from backbiting, their private parts from the unlawful, and their stomachs from the forbidden, that they may save themselves from Allah's chastisement and punishment.
Rights of Ritual Prayer
"The right of your ritual prayer (sala`t) is that you know that it is an arrival before Allah and that through it you are standing before Him. When you know that, then you will stand in the station of him who is lowly, vile, beseeching, trembling, hopeful, fearful, and abased, and you will magnify Him who is before you through stillness and dignity. You will approach the prayer with your heart and you will perform it according to its bounds and rights. There is no strength save in Allah." As for the prayer, it is the greatest of all the religious rites, and the most important of them in Islam. It is the sacrifice of those who have reverential fear, as it has been mentioned in the tradition, and is an arrival before Allah. Its right against the Muslim is that he knows that he is standing before the Almighty King, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and Giver of life. He should turn all his feelings and sentiments toward Allah. He should stand before Him in the station of him who is lowly, vile, beseeching that which is with Allah, fearful of His punishment, hopeful for His forgiveness and good pleasure.
He should perform the prayers with stillness, dignity, humble limbs, and good whispered prayers. He should not occupy his mind with any of the world's affairs. He should ask Allah to forgive him his sins and offenses, and to release his neck from the Fire.
"The right of your private part is that you protect it from that which is unlawful to you and seek help against it through lowering your sight, for it is the most useful helper, remembering death very much, threatening yourself with Allah, and frighten it with Him. Protection and support (come) through Allah, there is neither force nor strength save in Him." The sexual life in Islam depends on chastity, virtue, and refraining from committing fornication. As for the protective ways which prevent man from committing this crime, they are as the Ima`m mentioned: A. Prevent your eye from looking at the unlawful, for sight plays an important role in falling into the unlawful; in some traditions it has been mentioned: "The fornication of the eye." B. Increase remembering death, for it puts an end to the agitation of sexual desire. C. Threaten your soul with Allah, the Almighty, and frighten it with His punishment, for this plays an important role in destroying the crime of fornication.
O my Allah, the honour of being Your servant is sufficient.
I am proud of the fact that You are my Lord. You are just as I want, so make me just as You like me to be. الهي كفى بي عزّا أن أكون لك عبدا ، وكفى بي فخرا أن تكون لي ربّا
... أنت كما أُحبُّ ، فاجعلني كما تحبُّ
اللهم عجل لوليك الفرج يا الله
“Whenever you recite “Dua”, have this impression that what you
want is at the door.”
Imam Sadiq (AS) said: "God grants seven hours to repent to any believer
who commits a sin. If he repents in that period, nothing will be recorded
in his letter of deeds, but if he does not, then the sin will be recorded."
Shaikh Sadooq narrates from Imam Ali-ar-Reza (AS) that if a person does not have the means to lessen the stock of his bad deeds, he should send Salawaat and Salaam on Mohammad (SAWW) and His Progeny (AS)
bundantly, doing so will decrease (the weight of ) his sins.
According to Imam Jafar bin Mohammad as Sadiq, to remove worries
recite (i) al Kaafiroon (ii) al Ikhlas (iii) al Falaq (iv) an Naas three times
daily. After which recite "Allahumma adfa annil balaa" 3X.
Whoever recites a hundred verses from any Quranic Chapter and then
says: Ya Allah! Seven times, his Dua is answered and God will make rocks
clave for him."
To get a dua accepted quickly, recite each of the 4 Quls-5X each, this
makes over 100 verses, then say 7X-Ya Allah and ask for your dua. Recite 3X-'Allahumma adfa annil balaa' to keep away worries and anxiety. One can do this as many as necessary during the day or even after each salaat.
When God solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when God doesn't solve your problems, He has faith in YOUR abilities.
