This surah has 14 ayaat and it was revealed in  Madinah. It is narrated that is a person recites this surah, as long as he remains alive, Prophet Isa (AS) seeks forgiveness from Allah (SWT) for him and he will be from among the friends of Prophet Isa (AS) on the Day of Reckoning.
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (AS) has said that the person who recites this surah will be placed in the group of angels and Prophets on the Day of Judgement. If this surah is continually recited during a dangerous journey, the reciter is protected until he reaches his destination.

Iran slams US over Quran desecration

Tehran, Sep 13 : Iran Monday blamed the US for supporting the outrageous act of desecrating the Quran, and asked the Muslim community to take action against it.

According to ISNA news agency, Speaker of Iran's parliament Ali Larijani said in a message: "I warn the US administration to either end support for such a barbarous action or wait for Muslims' crushing response."

Larijani's message came as some protesters in the US tore some pages from a copy of the
Quran to denounce what they called the "charade of Islam" on the anniversary of 9/11 attacks Saturday.

The display was apparently prompted by Florida Pastor Terry Jones' aborted plan to burn the Quran. Jones called off his threat in the face of international condemnation.

Larijani called for parliament speakers and lawmakers of Islamic countries to show a swift and firm reaction to the unprecedented crime.

"Today, the disgraceful defeat of the US Army in Afghanistan and Iraq and its failure to confront nations of Iran, Lebanon, Palestine and Pakistan has forced the US officials' to conduct insane behaviours," the
speakersaid.

"Insult to the Holy Quran is a barbarous action in modern era and those who claim they are advocating democracy and freedom have fuelled new wave of global hatred against the US through their silence towards insult to holy book of Muslims," he noted.

Is it better to turn my computer off when I am not using it?

There are at least three situations that force you to leave your computer on 24 hours a day:

You are on a network, and the network administrators back up files and/or upgrade software over the network at night. If that is the case, and you want your machine backed up or upgraded, then you need to leave it on all the time.

You are using your machine as some sort of server. For example, xcitefun.net has a machine that creates the images for any article. It needs to be on 24 hours a day. If your machine acts as a file server, print server, Web server, etc., on a LAN (local area network) or the Internet, then you need to leave it on all the time.

If you are running something like SETI@home and you want to produce as many result sets as possible, you need to leave your machine on all the time.
If you do not fall into any of these categories, then you have a choice about whether or not to leave your machine on.

One reason why you might want to turn it off is economic. A typical PC consumes something like 300 watts. Let's assume that you use your PC for four hours every day, so the other 20 hours it is on would be wasted energy. If electricity costs 10 cents per kilowatt-hour in your area, then that 20 hours represents 60 cents a day. Sixty cents a day adds up to $219 per year.

It's possible to use the energy-saving features build into modern machines and cut that figure in half. For example, you can have the monitor and hard disk power down automatically when not in use. You'll still be wasting $100 per year.

The argument for leaving your computer on all the time is that turning it on and off somehow stresses the computer's components. For example, when the CPU chip is running, it can get quite hot, and when you turn the machine off it cools back down. The expansion and contraction from the heat probably has some effect on the solder joints holding the chip in place, and on the micro-fine details on the chip itself. But here are three ways to look at that:

If it were a significant problem, then machines would be failing all the time. In fact, hardware is very reliable (software is a whole different story, and there is a lot to be said for rebooting every day).
I don't know a single person who leaves the TV on 24 hours a day. TVs contain many of the same components that computers do. TVs certainly have no problems being cycled on and off.
Most vendors will sell you a three-year full-replacement warranty for about $150. If you are worried about it, spend some of the money you are saving by turning your machine off and buy a service contract. Over three years, you come out way ahead!
Google Instant Search: How to Enable or Disable Google Instant?
Google Instant is the latest search enhancement. His is to show the results as your type. The main aim for this pushing of technology is to help the user get better and faster results. The main idea of this has emerged from the fact that generally type slowly but read quickly, “typically taking 300 milliseconds between keystrokes, but only 30 milliseconds (a tenth of the time!) to glance at another part of the page.” Thus, this signifies that it will be more beneficial to scan a results page as you type.

To understand how it works, we shall discuss it in details for you. As you will be starting to search your search terms, Google Instant Search will automatically show results for a popular search that does begin with those letters. Now, if you do not see the results you desire, then you should just keep typing and the results shall be updated dynamically. The basics of search in Google do remain the same, and so do the way of ranking results and displaying the relevant ones.

One of the most useful changes you shall observe while using this feature is that you shall find the most appropriate content much faster, without even having to finish typing your entire search term, or even pressing “search”. Google Instant can save 2-5 seconds per search.  Another advantage is that you shall even be entitled to viewing of results as you type, thus formulating a better search term by providing instant feedback. Also, at times when you don’t know exactly what to search, predictions may be of great help in guiding your search. Because of the instant results, you can actually see the entire path in steps till you reach your desired result.

Earlier, before the use of Google Instant, a typical search would take 9 seconds to enter a search term, but now the case is not so. For information, 15 new technologies are at present contributing to the Google Instant functionality.

To either enable or disable Google Instant, you shall follow the steps given below:

    * Go to the Settings tab of the top right of your Google search home page.
    * Select the Search Settings from the drop down menu.
    * Select “Use Google Instant — predictions and results appear while typing” at the Google Instant category to enable Google Instant.
    * Otherwise, select “Do not use Google Instant” at the Google Instant category to disable Google Instant.
    * Now, click on the “Save Preferences” button at the lower right corner of the page.

There you have it, a successful enabling or disabling of Google Instant. Google Instant will actually appear to you as a conversation with your search engine, as you will be receiving instant feedbacks from your search engine, and thus in a step by step manner escort you to your search results faster and accurately. If you also wish to avoid seeing of inappropriate content, then you can even enable SafeSearch at the “strict filtering” level in the preferences page.
What do you call the @ symbol used in e-mail addresses?
The funny little a with its tail circling back around  it is probably one of the most commonly used symbols today. So it is truly amazing to learn that there is no official, universal name for it. The most accepted term, even in many other languages, is to call it the at sign. But there are dozens of different words used to describe it. A lot of languages use words that associate the shape of the symbol with some type of animal.
Here are a few examples of the many exotic terms associated with the @ symbol:

apestaart - Dutch for "monkey's tail"
snabel - Danish for "elephant's trunk"
kissanhnta - Finnish for "cat's tail"
klammeraffe - German for "hanging monkey"
kukac - Hungarian for "worm"
dalphaengi - Korean for "snail"
grisehale - Norwegian for "pig's tail"
sobachka - Russian for "little dog"

Before it became the standard symbol for e-mail, the @ symbol was typically used to indicate the cost or weight of something. For example, if you bought five oranges for $1.25 each, you might write it as 5 oranges @ $1.25 ea. It is still used in this manner on a variety of forms and invoices around the world.

The actual origin of the symbol is uncertain. It was used by monks making copies of books before the invention of the printing press. Since every word had to be painstakingly transcribed by hand for each copy of a book, the monks that performed the copying duties looked for ways to reduce the number of individual strokes per word for common words. So, the word at became a single stroke of the pen as @ instead of three strokes. While it doesn't seem like much today, it made a huge difference to the men who spent their lives copying manuscripts!

Another origin tale states that the @ symbol was used as an abbreviation for the word amphora, which was the unit of measurement used to determine the amount held by the large terra cotta jars that were used to ship grain, spices and wine. Giorgio Stabile, an Italian scholar, discovered this use of the @ symbol in a letter written in 1536 by a Florentine trader named Francesco Lapi. It seems likely that some industrious trader saw the @ symbol in a book transcribed by monks using the symbol and appropriated it for use as the amphora abbreviation. This would also explain why it became common to use the symbol in relation to quantities of something

Quit Smoking Tips
Ideas to Help You Quit
Want to Quit?

You promised yourself that you would finally quit smoking.

It isn't easy giving up something that is so much a part of what you do every day.

But you are not alone. Over 1 million people each year decide to quit and are successful.
Tried Quitting Before?

Maybe once, maybe more...

You started out feeling the time was right, but for whatever reason, you're smoking again. Now, you're asking whether it's worth it to try quitting again. You bet it is!

Quitting is hard, but don't give up!

Some smokers try a number of times before they quit for good. Studies show that each time you try to quit, the more likely you will be to eventually succeed. With each try, you are better able to know what helps and what hurts. Any attempt to quit is a step in a healthier direction.
Pregnant?

There's no better time to quit.

And for two very good reasons:

You.

Your baby.

Even if someone you know smoked during pregnancy and had a problem-free delivery, smoking puts your baby's health at risk. Quitting at any time during pregnancy is still the best chance for you and your baby to get a fresh start.

It is also important to remember that infants and children exposed to second-hand smoke are more likely to develop health problems such as chronic ear infections and asthma. Helping to eliminate these health risks is another good reason to quit.
How Do I Start?

Make a Plan

You may want to:

Consult a health care professional to choose a quit smoking plan that is best for you.

Set a quit date and stick to it.

Get the support and understanding of your family, friends, and co-workers.

Get rid of all tobacco products and ashtrays.

Get Support and Encouragement

U.S. Public Health Service (PHS)-funded research shows the more support you have, the greater your chance for success.

Join a quit smoking program or start your own quit smoking group. Check with your health care professional, local hospitals, the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, or American Heart Association for schedules for existing groups.

Learn How to Handle the Urge to Smoke

Be aware of the things that may cause you to smoke, such as:

Other smokers.

Stress.

Depression.

Alcohol.

What Works?

Current treatments

There are no magic solutions for quitting smoking. But, if you are ready to quit, effective treatments are available that can help reduce the urge to smoke.

Studies show that almost everyone can benefit from these nicotine and non-nicotine replacement therapies.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy

Nicotine patch.

Nicotine gum.

Ibuprofen Long Term Side Effects On Kidney
Use of Ibuprofen can cause many long-term side effects on kidney, like all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) class. Read about Ibuprofen and several long term side effects of this pain reliever drug on kidney.

Ibuprofen is the most commonly used pain reliever drug which works by decreasing the prostaglandin secretion. On long term use, it can cause many side effects including kidney damage. Refer this article to know about the long term side effects of ibuprofen on the kidney.

Ibuprofen is an over the counter pain reliever drug which comes under the category of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved this drug as a safe non-steroidal anti-inflammatory in 1974. Primarily, it is used to treat mild to moderate pain such as headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, and athletic injuries for the relief of everyday. Also, it is used to decrease fever and to relieve minor aches and pain due to common ailments and diseases like osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Presently, ibuprofen is sold under the names Motrin, Advil, Medipren, Nuprin and others, which relieves pain and swelling (inflammation).

In the body, excessive prostaglandin secretion is responsible for pain, swelling, and fever. Ibuprofen is a generic drug which works by blocking the enzyme in body that involves in the production of prostaglandins. So, reducing the prostaglandin secretion helps to decrease pain, fever and inflammation. Like all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ibuprofen use has also several potential side effects. As per FDA, it is safe to use but some mild side effects have been proven to exist after a year or long term use. Consult your doctor immediately, if any side effect takes place.

Long term side effects are very rare but ibuprofen can cause kidney disease particularly in at-risk patients as reported in the scientific literature. Ibuprofen mostly affects two organ systems of the body: the renal (kidneys) and gastrointestinal (GI) systems. Kidney damage is resulted from the chronic ingestion of NSAIDs and it is usually reversible in many cases. Sometimes, it may also occur as the result of short term usage (i.e. one or two doses). Diabetes and dehydration are contributing factors which raise the risk of renal toxicity.
Long Term Side Effects of Ibuprofen on Kidney:

Elder people or those individuals who have pre-existing kidney disease, heart or liver dysfunction, diuretic or ACE inhibitor users or impairment in kidney are at greatest risk for ibuprofen-induced renal side effects. Kidney damage and dysfunction is usually caused by long-term use of ibuprofen. Long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, ibuprofen has resulted in renal papillary necrosis and other kidney impairment, as per the “PDR Guide to Drug Interactions, Side Effects, and Indications”.

A renal papillary necrosis takes place in some individuals on long term use of ibuprofen. In this condition, parts of kidney are responsible for concentrating the urine die. Aside from damage to the kidneys, it also alters the sodium and water balance which is regulated by the kidney, having profound consequences in hot training and racing environments.

    * Acute Kidney Failure:

A single dose of ibuprofen is also responsible for sudden-onset acute kidney failure if the patient suffers from chronic kidney disease or lupus, or drinks a lot of alcohol. For acute renal failure due to ibuprofen, independent risk factors also include advanced age and childhood. Patients with reduced kidney function are not recommended to take ibuprofen, as warned by the National Kidney Foundation.

    * Analgesic Nephropathy:

Long-term use of ibuprofen and other NSAIDs cause kidney damage called as analgesic nephropathy. Analgesic nephropathy takes place in approximately four out of 100,000 people, primarily from self-medication. The analgesic nephropathy risk is related with the duration of use. Patients who have taken six or more pills per day for more than three years are on greater risk for the analgesic nephropathy.

If analgesic nephropathy occurs, then it can result in permanent kidney damage. Further kidney damage can be prevented by treating the symptoms of existing damage such as hypertension and urine protein.

    * Pre-term Babies:

Kidneys of premature babies are also affected by the effect of ibuprofen, according to the report from 2010 issue of “Pediatric Nephrology”. Studies have found that seven days of treatment with ibuprofen considerably reduces the filtration rate of blood in infant’s kidneys.
Use of Ibuprofen can cause many long-term side effects on kidney, like all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) class. Read about Ibuprofen and several long term side effects of this pain reliever drug on kidney.

    * Analgesic Nephropathy:

    * Pre-term Babies:

Kidneys of premature babies are also affected by the effect of ibuprofen, according to the report from 2010 issue of “Pediatric Nephrology”. Studies have found that seven days of treatment with ibuprofen considerably reduces the filtration rate of blood in infant’s kidneys.
