Hadeese Qudsi, | for everyone |
Almighty Allah says: O, son of Adam! don not be like the one; who seeks pardon because of his unlimited desires. Who hopes for heaven, but does not do good deeds; Who speaks like pious person, but acts like hypocrites; Who has been blessed by bounties, but is not content; And if who is given
(bounties), is not patient; Who advises others to do good deeds, but he himself indulges in evil ones. Who advises others to stay away from evil deeds, but he himself does not stay away from them; Who hates hypocrites, but is one of them. O, Son of Adam! the earth always says “You walk on me, but in the end you will be within my bowls. I am a dwelling where you will have to stay all alone. I am a dwelling which is full of ferocious things, such as serpents and scorpions. So, O, Son of Adam, do good deeds and thereafter enter me; only then would you be happy and without hardships.”
Fulvic Acid Benefits – Side Effects of Fulvic Acid | for everyone |
Fulvic Acid Benefits – Side Effects of Fulvic Acid
Fulvic acid is a small ionic molecule which helps to dissolve minerals in the soil so that they can be occupied by the roots of plants and used by the cells of the plant. Scientists and doctors throughout the world are starting to recognize extraordinary potential of fulvic acid. Fulvic acid is commonly sold over the counter as a so-called miracle cure for various ailments. It is very important to health of people and can help to promote the body to heal, boost the immune system, aid in detoxification and help with the absorption of other essential nutrients into the body. Some recent researches have uncovered a number of potential health benefits and suggested to take fulvic trace as a supplement.
Everyone needs at least 90 nutrients to maintain optimum health, including 59 minerals, 16 vitamins, 12 amino acids and 3 essential fatty acids. However, consuming good tasting food and sipping a lot of vitamin pills does not guarantee absorption or use of these vital nutrients. Some diseases occur in the body when the body does not absorb nutrients. Fulvic acid is the element that makes nutrients absorbable and provides it ability to create a dramatic impact on all kinds of diseases and health problems that afflict the body. Scientists have named it the elixir of life and theorize that without it, nothing would live.
Benefits of Fulvic Acid- A miracle molecule:
When used internally, fulvic acid has following benefits:
* It helps to rebuild the immune system
* It is a powerful natural electrolyte
* Restores electrochemical balance
* Increased energy
* Transports nutrients into the cells
* Enhances activity of a host of enzyme systems
* Increases bioavailability of nutrients and minerals
* It is a ferocious antioxidant and free radical scavenger
* It chelates with heavy metals and body toxins and eliminates them from the system
* Extends the time nutrients remain active, potentiates the availability of essential nutrients
* It contributes to DNA and RNA synthesis and also increases metabolism of proteins
When used externally, fulvic acid has following benefits:
* It acts as a wide spectrum anti-microbial and fungicide
* Neutralizing poison ivy and poison oak
* It removes discoloration due to skin bruises
* Helps to treat open wounds, cuts and abrasions
* Kills pathogens responsible for athletes foot
* It helps to treat rashes, skin irritations, insect and spider bites
* Heal burns with minimum pain or scarring
Other benefits:
* Nutrient digestion:
Fulvic acid is rich in nutrients and the electrolytes, present in fulvic acid raises your body’s capacity to absorb these nutrients through your digestive system. Fulvic acid helps digestive system to process vitamins, minerals, proteins and herbs. Fulvic acid supplements are most effectual when taken with or previous to meals.
* Mineral Absorption:
In body’s ability to properly absorb nutrients at the cellular level, fulvic acid plays an integral role. By entering into your cells, it serves as a discriminant toward minerals and helps to select what minerals to keep out of the cell and what minerals to bring in through the membrane and at what quantities in order for the cell to function properly with well-balanced nutrients. As it has greater access to the organic materials required to perform its necessary functions, it enhances the overall health of the cell and the functioning of the cell.
* Antioxidant:
Fulvic acid is a powerful, organic antioxidant that serves to counteract the harmful health effects of free radicals, according to Nano Health Solutions. In the human body, free radicals cause damage to cell tissue.
* Botanical:
Fertilized soil speeds up plant growth and increase crop yields and Fulvic acid can be used as fertilizer. By increasing nutrient uptake, fulvic acid increases the permeability of plant cells.
* Anti-aging:
It also helps to repair and rejuvenate the body’s cellular tissue and thus helps in slowing down the aging process.
* Electro-chemical Balance:
As it is a powerful natural electrolyte, it helps to restore the normal chemical balance of the body’s cells.
* Body Detox:
Fulvic acid helps to detoxify the body of heavy metals when used internally. It chelates with toxic metal ions and causes them to be eliminated out from the body through urine.
Side effects:
Fulvic acid has few known side effects. If one started therapy with a high dose, it may lead to some complaints of diarrhea for the first couple of days but this generally subsides without any further problems. No dangerous side effects are reported with the use of fulvic acid, in either animals or humans. As per some reports, a change in the smell of the feces has been reported however this is attributed to cleansing properties of fulvic acid.
Considerations:
Though fulvic acid is rich in nutrients, most of the nutrients present of it are also available in various other over-the-counter supplements. To determine that fulvic acid itself is better than any of its other competitors, no independent studies are available. Fulvic acid is safe for use in most individuals due to its lack of known side effects. Before starting it or any other type of supplement, it should be discussed with your physician.
ALLEGIC REACTION- OVERVIEW | for everyone |
Allergic Reaction Overview – Information
An allergic reaction is simply the human body’s way of trying to fight off a foreign invader it perceives to be dangerous. An allergic reaction is a response of the body’s immune system, and although not all aspects of how exactly an allergic reaction functions are understood, the basic function is fairly simple.
The body is wired to detect what are known antigens, which are foreign objects that the body has decided might be harmful. Once these antigens are detected, a reaction is triggered to get them out of the body as quickly as possible, before anything bad can happen. The trick is that the body isn’t always that good at figuring out what is a dangerous invader and what isn’t. When it makes a mistake, and over-reacts to a foreign invader, the triggered immune response is called an allergic reaction.
An allergic reaction is often the least serious form of immune system dysfunction, and is classed as a Type I hyper-reaction. In extreme cases, however, Type I reactions can trigger anaphylaxis that can lead to death. Type II reactions are also known as cytotoxic hypersensitivity, and can trigger the body destroying its own cells, such as in thrombocytopenia or autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Type III reactions are often called immune complex diseases, an include Arthus reaction and serum sickness. Type IV reactions are delayed reactions, and the most common Type IV reactions are contact dermatitis reactions, such as poison oak or poison ivy.
An allergic reaction can be to virtually anything found in the world. Dust is an incredibly common mild allergic reaction, as is pollen and many different types of food. Bee stings and ant bites, various plants, and some common medication are also common causes of allergic reaction. In some cases, as with many people’s tree nut or bee sting allergies, they may be quite severe. In these cases the body goes into an extreme allergic reaction which can induce shock and may prove fatal.
When the body first encounters a new allergen, it triggers a type of T cell, which then go off an interact with the B cells responsible for producing antibodies. The B cells then begin to produce the antibody IgE in large quantities. The IgE then makes its way through the body, and links up with mast cells and basophils, two types of immune cell. Newly coated with IgE, which acts as a sort of messenger, these cells now know what the allergen looks like, and to be on the lookout for it. When the cells run into the allergens, they’re now able to capture them.
At the same time, they release various mediators, which cause the outward effects of the allergic reaction. Depending on the allergen itself, the allergic reaction may take different forms. The cells may, for example, release histamine, making the skin itch severely. They may also release chemicals that trigger mucus production, making the nose runny. They can also cause vasodilation, which can cause asthma if it takes place in the lungs. After running their course, the allergic reaction may subside, in which case it was simply an acute response, or it may change form and continue as other cells, such as neutrophils or macrophages make their way to the allergen clumping.

THE MARK OF A BELIEVER-SILENCE | for everyone |
He who speaks more commits more errors. He who commits more errors becomes shameless. He who is shameless will have less fear of Allah. He whose fear of Allah is less, his heart dies. He whose heart dies enters the fire. He who knows that his speech is also a part of his action speaks less except where he has some purpose." – Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him)
There are numerous authentic traditions attributed to the Holy Household of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them) on the importance of silence. In fact, silence was one of the very characteristic qualities of the companions of the Prophets and Imams as well as the Prophets and Imams themselves. It is one of the many important qualities one must acquire in his quest for the Divine. It is a sign of many virtues such as a strong intellect (Aql) and wisdom. Therefore, we should strive to make silence one of the defining qualities of our personality.
What is so good about silence that the Ahlul Bayt stressed its importance to the faithful? It must be more than a mere absence of noise. One might notice among friends that silence is avoided, even feared. So much so, in fact, that when there is a gap of silence during a conversation, someone will say something nonsensical just to escape the unbearable void of awkwardness. Still, what's the big deal about silence?
Silence cultivates one's spirituality and feeling of nearness to Allah. The more we adopt the practice of silence in our lives, the more beautiful we will find it to be. Let us elaborate on some of its benefits.
Tranquility
First and foremost, tranquility. Every morning, if one allocates even a quarter of an hour to the practice of silence before going to work or school, he will face the challenges of the day ahead in a positive manner. If one lets the silence permeate into every single part of his body, the feelings of anxiety and stress will disappear. Similarly, after a hard day's work, or just ten minutes before prayer time, if one devotes a few minutes to silence, he will find it easier to concentrate during his worship. He will feel closer to Allah.
Reflection
Simply put, shut your mouth and open your mind. Wherever you go, whatever you do, don't say a word. Just observe what you're doing and what others are doing. Observe everything. Don't judge, just watch quietly and absorb everything around you. Eventually, if you do this for long enough, you will find yourself organizing and sifting through all those thoughts in your head. You will discard the rubbish, and you will save the jewels. You will think about your experiences and the experiences of others, and you will extract valuable lessons that will help you in life. You will begin to see Allah's beauty in every single thing, be it your fingers on the keyboard or the waves in the sea. You begin – there is no other way to put this – to understand.
Wisdom
Imam Ali says that the wiser man is, the less he will speak. Think about this for a second. Wisdom will come about as you reflect on the nature of everything. You'll adopt silence because it's the smart thing to do: silence guards secrets, silence controls the tongue, silence gets rid of nonsense (in your head as well as in your speech), silence sharpens the wit, and silence increases the value of your words. Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said that one who knows the value of his speech will also know the value of silence. In fact, if one adopts silence, he will value his speech and therefore guard it like he guards his wealth.
Intellect
Finally, silence strengthens one's Aql. The carnal self (the Nafs) thrives on foolishness. It feeds on impulsive and thoughtless actions, and therefore, speech. Realize, as our holy Imam says, that your speech is a part of your action. If you think before you act, you will think before you speak. If you think before you speak, you will stop saying foolish things accidentally. You will stop unintentionally revealing your secrets (and the secrets of others). Furthermore, silence gives one control over his emotions, especially anger. It is said that anger is a type of madness. Subdue that anger with silence, and you will put an end to a great many detrimental things in your life.
Some ways to adopt silence in your life
I offer these tips as I have found them to help me out a lot:
- Ten minutes before beginning your prayer, sit on the prayer mat and just be silent whilst fixing your eyes on one spot.
- Before you say anything, plan exactly what you're going to say.
- Be quiet during "discussions" devoid of knowledge and facts. Also, if you see a discussion heading towards an argument, be silent.
- If you don't know, say you don't know.
- If you're getting angry, be silent. If someone else is getting angry at you, be silent. Imam Khomeini mentioned this piece of advice to his daughter and son in-law.

THE ALMIGHTY ALLAH (S.W.T.) says:
I wonder at a person who is certain of reckoning (Day of Judgment), but still accumulates wealth.
I wonder at a person who is certain of going into the grave, but still smiles without concern.
I wonder at a person who is certain of this world’s doom, but still has tranquility in living this world.
I wonder at a person who is certain of the Hereafter and its Bounties but he still rests.
I wonder at a person who is knowledgeable in his speech, and ignorant in his heart.
I wonder at a person who looks for faults in others, but is unaware of the same in themselves.
I wonder at a person who knows that Almighty Allah is aware of his actions, but still commits sins.
I wonder at a person who preaches to the people, but does not preach to his own soul,
I wonder at a person who knows that he/she will die alone, but am still totally engrossed with people who will not be able to help him/her.

AN AGENDA FOR THE MONTH OF MAHE RAMADHAN | for everyone |
AN AGENDA FOR THE MONTH OF RAMAADHAN
A SERMON BY THE HOLY PROPHET (S.A.W.A)
Sheikh Saduq relates from an authentic source that Immam Ali ibn Musa al-Rida, peace be upon him, related from his ancestors, who related it from Amir-al-Mominin ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him, that the latter said that one day, the Prophet of Allah delivered the following sermon to them:
“O People! The Month of Allah (Ramadhan) has approached you with His mercy and blessings. This is the month that is the best of all months in estimation of Allah. Its days are the best among the days; its nights are the best among the nights. Its hours are the best among the hours.
This a month in which He has invited you. You have been, in this month, selected as the recipients of the honors of Allah, the Merciful, in this holy month, when you breathe, it has the thawab (heavenly reward) of ‘Tasbeeh (the praise of Allah on rosary beads), and your sleep has the thawab of worship.
Your good deeds are accepted this month. So are your invocations, Therefore, you much invoke your Lord, in right earnest, with hearts that are free from sins and evils, that Allah may bless you, observe fast, in this month, and recite the Holy Qur’an.
Verily ! The person who may not receive the mercy and benevolence of Allah in this month must be very unfortunate having an end as bad (in the Hereafter). While fasting, remember the hunger and thirst of tomorrow in Qiyamat. Give alms to the poor and needy. Pay respects to your elders.
Have pity on those younger than you and be kind towards your relatives and kinsmen. Guard your tongues against unworthy words, and your eyes from such scenes that are not worth seeing (forbidden) and your ears from such sounds that should not be heard by you.
Be kind to the orphans so that when your children become orphans they also may be treated with kindness. Do invoke that Allah may forgive your sins. Do raise your hands at the time of Salat (prayers), as it is the best time for asking His mercy. When we invoke at such times, we are answered by Him, when we call Him, He respond, and when we ask for anything it is accepted by Him.
O people! You have made your conscience the slave of your desires; make it free by invoking Him for forgiveness. Your back is breaking under the heavy load of your sins, so prostrate before Him for long intervals (i.e. be in Sajjada for longer time) and make the load of your sins lighter by this act.
Do understand full well that Allah has promised in the name of His Majesty and Honor that He will not take to task such people who offer Salat in this month and perform ‘sajda’ (prostration), and will guard their bodies against the Fire of Hell on the Day of Judgment.
O’People! If anybody amongst you arranges for the ‘iftar’ (food for the ending of the fast) of any believer, then Allah will give him a reward as it he has set free a slave. He will forgive his minor sins.
Then the companions of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said:
“But everybody amongst us does not have means to do so.”
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) told them:
“Keep yourself away from the Fire of Hell, by inviting for iftar, though it may consist of only half of date or simply with water if you have nothing else. O’people anybody who may cultivate good manners in this month will walk of the Sirat (Bridge) in ‘Qiyamat’ though his feet may be shaking.
Anybody who makes his servants (male or female) takes light work, in this month Allah will make easy his accounting on the Day of Judgment.
Whoever, offers Sunnat (Recommended) prayers in this month, Allah will give him a certificate of freedom from Hell. Whosoever offers on ‘Wajib’ Salat this month, for him the Angels will write the rewards of 70 such prayers that were offered by him in other month.
Whosever recites repeatedly ‘Salawat and Salam’ on me, Allah will keep the scales of his good deeds heavy, when in Qiyamat the scales of others will be tending towards lighter side..
Whosoever recites in this month one ‘Ayat’ (verse of the Holy Qur’an), he will be rewarded in a manner as it he had recited the full Qur’an in the other months.
O’People! The Gates of Paradise remain opened in this month. Do invoke that the gates may not be closed on you, while the Gates of Hell be closed. Do invoke that these gates may never be opened.”

FEW HADEETHS OF THE H.PROPHET (SAWS) AND IMAMS(A.S.)
“When you are in a funeral procession, let your mind be busy in pondering and humbleness and know that you will meet the same fate.”
“Refrain from seeking fame and striving for power, as these two invite man towards annihilation.”
“The sustenance which has become guaranteed (by Allah) must not make you so busy that you do not perform the obligatory acts of worship.”
“Allah answers our prayers in three ways: He says YES and gives what we want, He says NO and gives us better,He says WAIT and gives us the best.”
“Reconciliation of your differences is more worthy than all prayers and all fasting.”
“The worst servants of Allah are those who are two-faced and two-tongued; they praise their present friends and backbite the absent; they envy them for obtaining graces and disappoint them when they suffer a misfortune.”
“If you find a man deeply engrossed in prayers and fasting, do not start extolling his piety until you mark the level of his intelligence”
“The greatest man is he who never considers himself equal in value to the worldly life. You bodies cannot be sold except in exchange for Paradise , therefore, do not sell for anything less than Paradise .”
“Beware of laziness and boredom for they prevent you from your share of this world and of the Hereafter.”
“The sign of a wise man is that he has three characteristics: he replies whenever he is queried, speaks with confidence when all others are at a loss to say anything and imparts advise which is good for his people. And anyone who does not possess these three characteristics is stupid. One who does not possess all these three qualities or at least one of them should not occupy the president’s chair in a meeting and if one who does not have any of the qualifications sits in that chair, he is stupid.”(Imam Ali a.s.)
KINDNESS TOWARDS PEOPLE | for everyone |
KINDNESS TOWARDS PEOPLE
Kindness towards people, all the people, is among the recommended rituals that have been emphasized by our religion. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) said: “My Lord has commanded me to be kind towards the people just as He has commanded me to fulfill obligatory (prayers)”. Further said : “If a person does not have three things, his deeds are not complete: (spiritual) armor that prevents him for disobeying Allah (swt); noble character by which he shows kindness towards the people; and forbearance by which he repels the foolishness of the ignorant person.”
Kindness is not limited to the Muslims only. It has been narrated that Imam Ali (a.s.) became a traveling companion of a non-Muslim on the way to Kufa. When they reached a crossroad, the Imam (a.s.) walked with him for a distance before saying farewell. The non-Muslim asked him why he walked that extra distance, the Imam (a.s.) replied, “This is the right of companionship, i.e. see them through for a short distance when they are separated. This is what our Prophet (s.a.w.a.) has ordered us to so.” The man accepted Islam because of this noble gesture.
Similarly, we have heard from Imam Ali (a.s.) what could be considered as a historical precedence of social security that is so commonly practiced at present in the Western world. Imam Ali (a.s.) did not differentiate between a Muslim and non-Muslim in the Islamic state. The narrator said that one day an old blind person passed by him begging, Imam Ali (a.s.) asked, “What is this?” Those who were around him said, “O, he is a Christian!”
Imam (a.s.) answered; “You have used him until he came old and incapable, and now you are depriving him (of the benefits). “Provide for him for the public treasury.”
It has also been narrated from Imam Ja’far ibn Mohammed as-Sadiq (a.s.), “ If a Jewish person comes to sit with you, make that a good meeting.”
YOUR DAILY MORNING FAX TO ALLAH (S.T.) | for everyone |
YOUR DAILY MORNING FAX TO ALLAH (SWT)
According to Imam Mohamed Al-Baqir (a.s.), satan dispatches a special task force in the morning to beguile people. Hence we have been advised to remember Allah (swt) much and to take refuge in Him. Perhaps, for the same reason, Islam has considered sleeping between dawn and sunrise as undesirable.
It is the tradition of our Prophet Mohammed (s.a.w.a.) and his Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) to remain occupied with worship acts during this period. This can be borne out by the number of supplications and invocations prescribed especially for recitation after the Morning Prayer (Namaz). They are more than what have been prescribed for any other Namaz.
It has been related in many narratives that the reward of a person supplication and reciting, the Holy Qu’ran after the morning prayers till sunrise is equivalent to that of a recommended pilgrimage to the Holy Kaaba (i.e. Hajj). It wards-off calamities, increases longevity and protects the person from diseases and destitution. One can safely state that, except for definite death, these supplications are known to fulfill every need, allay fears and remedy all afflictions of mankind.
Allah (swt) says in Hadis-e-Qudsi: “O son of Aadam remember me for an hour in the morning and or an hour in the afternoon, so that I should take care of all your important works”
Shaykh Ahmad bin Fadd and others have narrated that a person complained to Imam Musa Al-Kazim (a.s.) about Unfulfilled desires. The person said: “No work results in profit and none of my goals bear fruit.” Imam Al-Kazim (a.s.) taught him to recite the following after the Morning Prayer ten times:
“ SU’BHAANALLAHI –AZEEM- WA BEHAMDEH-ASTAGFERUL LAH-WA-AS ALLUHU MIN FAZLEH”
Narrator says that within a very short span of time he became wealthy.
Sayeed ibn Ta’us from a very reliable chain of narrators relates that Imam Reza (a.s.) said: “One who recites after the morning prayer 100 times “BISMILLAHI-RHEMAANIR-RAHEEM-LAA HAWLA-WALAA QUWWATA-ILLA-BIL-LAAHI ALIYELL-AZEEM” will become closer to the ‘Greatest Name’ than the black of the eye to its whiteness.
According to Imam Al-Sadiq (a.s.) and Imam Al-Kazim (a.s.) the person reciting the above—mentioned 70 times after the morning prayers will be safeguarded from seventy types of calamities, the easiest of which are insanity, leucoderma (hypo pigmentation of the skin) etc.
Similarly, the recitation of the following after the morning prayers 10 times is a divine shield against blindness, poverty, leprosy, house-collapse, on the person’s head etc.
“ SUB’HAANALLAHI-AZEEM WA-BEHAMDEH-WALAA HAWLA-WALAA-QUWWATA-ILLA-BILLAAHIL-ALIIYYEL-AZEEM’
Rassulullah (s.a.w.a.) said: “One who recites Surah Qul-Huwallaahu-Ahad 10 times every day, whatsoever attempts Satan may make so that a sin is written in the person’s account will not succeed.”
“Sawaabul Aamaal” quotes from reliable authorities that one who recites:
“ALLAAHUMMA-SALLE-ALAA-MUHAMMED-WA-AALE MUHAMMED” 100 times after the morning prayers will not be punished by hell-fire.

LAILATUL-QADAR- (THE NIGHT OF DESTINY)- PART I | for everyone |
LAILATUL-QADAR
(THE NIGHT OF DESTINY)
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: " Allah has favored Friday all over other days, the month of Ramadan over all other months, and the Night of Destiny (Lailatul-Qadr) over all other nights, and Allah has favored the Holy Quran over all other Books which he revealed."
Ibrahim, one of the companions of Immam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s.) asked the Immam (a.s.) about how the Holy Quran was revealed during Lailatul-Qadr, knowing that it took more than twenty years to reveal. The Immam (a.s.) answered by saying : " The Holy Quran was revealed as a whole during the month of Ramadan at the Ancient House (the Ka'ba), and then from there it was revealed along the span of (more than) twenty years." Then he cited the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) saying: " The Books of Ibrahim (a.s.) were revealed on the first night of the month of Ramadan; the Torah was revealed on the sixth of the month of Ramadan; the Gospel (Injil, i.e. the Bible) was revealed on the thirteenth of the month of Ramadan; the Psalms (Zabur) was revealed on the eighteenth of the month of the Ramadan, and the Holy Quaran was revealed on the twenty-fourth of the month of Ramadan." (This tradition is recorded in Bihar al-Anwar pg 25 vol 94 and also on pg 80 vol 1, of al-'Ayyashi's Tafsir.)
The name was used for Lailatul-Qadr because Allah, the Almighty determines in it for everyone all what will happen the entire next year. The "Qadar" in this sense means destiny. According to al-Qummi's Tafsir, as explained on pg.432 vol.2, such destiny includes life and death, sustenance, abundance of crops or famine and everything good or bad. This means that Allah the Glorified and Exalted determines in this night each and every event to occur during the next year to any all of His creation.
Al-Majlisi quotes his father who quoted Immam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s.) saying : " During Lailatu-Qadr, the angels, the spirit, and the trusted scribes all descend to the lower heavens and write down whatever Allah decrees that year, and if Allah wishes to advance something or postpone it or add thereto, He orders the angel to erase it and replace it with whatever He decrees."
One of the companion of Immam Al-Rida (a.s.) asked why the chapter of Qadr was revealed ?
The Immam (a.s.) said: "Lailatul-Qadr is the night when Allah, the most Exalted, the most Great, decrees what will take place from one year to another of life or death, good or evil, or regarding sustenance, and whatever He then decrees is sure destiny".
Immam Ali (a.s.) said: " Once the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) asked me once " O Ali ! Do you know the implication of Lailut-Qadr ? " Allah, the Praised One, the Most Glorified, decreed in it what will take place till the Day of Judgment, and among what He, the most Exalted, the Most Great, decreed was your own Imamate and Wilayat and the Imamate and Wilayat of your offspring till the Day of Resurrection."
" When the Chapter of Qadr was mentioned in the presence of Abu Abdullah Immam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s.), he was asked about its merits over the other chapters, and he said " It was revealed with reference to the Wilayat of the Commander of the Faithful (Immam Ali) (a.s.), and it is the night in which the heavens and the earth were determined, and the Wilayat of the Commander of the Faithful (a.s.) was decreed. "
Lailatul-Qadr it was so named because a Book of Allah, which enjoys greatness of status, was revealed to Prophet who also enjoys a great honour and prestige. The Almighty Allah has addressed His servant and Messenger, our master, Mohammed Mustafa (s.a.w.s.) saying :
" And what will make you comprehend what Lailatul-Qadr is ? Lailatul-Qadr is better than a thousand months, " i.e." How would you know the the greatness, significance, and sanctity of this night which I decreed to be better than a thousand months ?"
There are indications that the Holy Quran was revealed as a whole to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.). In the Holy Quran, we read : " Haa, Meem, By the Book that makes (the truth) manifest, surely We revealed it on a blessed night " (H.Q.44:1-3). "Surely We revealed it on Lailatul-Qadr (H.Q. 98-1)
Ibe-Abbas is quoted saying : " The Holy Quran was revealed as a whole from the Safeguard Scroll from the heavens to the lower earth on Lailatul-Qadr, then Gabriel (a.s.) used to reveal it unto Mohammed (s.a.w.s) gradually. It is well known that the Holy Quran was revealed unto the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s) in installments during a period of twenty-three years. The first chapter revealed unto the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s) at the Cave ofHira was the Chapter of al'Alaq when Garbriel said to him :
" (O Muhammad) Read in the Name of your Lord who created..." (H.Q.96:1), up to the end of the chapter. The last verse of the Glorious Book of Allah revealed unto the Messenger (s.a.w.s) was : " Today have I completed for you your religion, perfected My blessing unto you, and accepted Islam as your religion (H.Q. 5:3). Thus, suffices this blessed night the honour and dignity of being particularly chosed by the Glorified and Exalted One for the revelation of His Glorious Quran which is the shining and guiding light of the religion of Islam and the constitution of its adherents."
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said: " Whoever remains awake during Lailatul-Qadr and spends it in adoration will have his penalty postponed till the next year."
Hazrat Moosa (a.s.) once addressed the Almighty saying, " Lord I desire to be near to you."
The Almighty Allah (s.t.) said : " Whoever desires nearness to Me is one who remains awake during Lailatul-Qadr (worshipping Me)". He said , " Lord I wish to earn your Mercy ". The Almighty said : " My mercy is granted to anyone who is merciful to the indigent during Lailatul-Qadr." He said, "Lord ! I wish to pass on the right path. " He said, " This is granted to to anyone who spends alms during Lailatul-Qadr. ".He said " Lord ! I wish to enjoy the trees and fruits of Paradise ". The Almighty said:This is granted to anyone who praises Me during Lailatul-Qadr. " He said: "Lord I wish to achieve salvation from the fire ! " He said : " This is granted to anyone who seeks forgiveness during Lailatul-Qadr." He said: " Lord I wish to achieve Your Pleasure " ! The Almighty said : " I shall be pleased with anyone who prays two (optional) rak-ats during Lailatul-Qadr ".
On Lailatul-Qadr did the night journey (Israa) to heavens take place, and the Almighty Allah raised Isa (a.s.) son of Bibi Maryam (a.s.) to Him. On it, His servant and Prophet Moosa (a.s.) died, and so did Joshua son of Noon (a.s.), the wasi of Moosa (a.s.). Also on it was the Commander of the Faithful Immam Ali (a.s.) was martyred.
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s) has been asked once about the Night of Destiny (Lailatul-Qadr). So he ascended the pulpit, and, having praised the Almighty (s.t.) the Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said:
" You have asked me about the Night of Destiny. I have not concealed the knowledge of it from you out of ignorance thereof. Be informed, O people, that whoever during the month of Ramadan is healthy, and he fasts during its days and performs prayers during a portion of its nights and is punctual regarding the obligatory prayers, and makes an effort to attend congregational prayers on Fridays during it and attends the Eid prayers as well, he will then have honored the Night of Destiny duty, and he will receive his reward from the Creator."
Immam Jaf'ar as-Sadiq (a.s.) said : " That whoever recites Surah al-Ankabut (The spider) and al-Rum (the Romans) and (in other tradition also) Surah al- Dukhan (Smoke/Mist) during the nights of Lailatul-Qadr will secure admission into Paradise without any exception. Surely these Chapters enjoy a great status with Allah."
MAAHE RAMAZAN – THE MONTH OF ALLAH (SWT) | for everyone |
MAAHE RAMAZAN – THE MONTH OF ALLAH (SWT)
The month of Ramazan is the most august of all months is very dear to Allah. The importance of this month can be gauged with the fact that this is the only month which has been mentioned in the Holy Qur’an with its name.
The exemplary virtues of this month can’t be counted. The obedient servants of Almighty Allah eagerly look forward to its commencement. Do not let its nights to waste in slumbers, its days in careless omission or loss of remembrance of Allah.
Fasting throughout the month has been made obligatory. The sawab (reward) of fasting is in the treasures of Allah (swt), it is a zakat of the body, protection against hell and Satan and cause for the achievement of paradise. These are supplications to be recited at all times and those on particular days and nights. Pledging to discard all sinful activities, giving charities to poor Mo’menin, recitation of Durood a great deal every day and reading the complete Qur’an are some the highly recommended activities in this month,
COMMON AAMAL (SUPPLICATIONS) OF SHABE-QADR | for everyone |
COMMON AAMAL (SUPPLICATIONS) OF SHABE-QADR
As either the 19th or the 21st or the 23rd night of this month is the ‘Laylatul Qadr’, there are some aamal which should be done during all the said nights. It is sunnat (desirable) to have bath on all the three nights before start of prayers.
On Shabe-Qadr one should perform two Rak’at namaz in each rakat after recitation of Surah-al Hamd, recite Surah Ahad 7 times and after finishing the namaz to recite 70 times ‘Astaghferullaahaa wa atoobo elaihe.”
Afterwards keep the Holy Qur’an on your head and say: ‘Allahumma be haqqe haazal Qur’an wa be ha’qqe man arsaltahu behi wa be haqqe kulle mo’menin madah’tahu fihe wa be haqqeka a’laihim falaa ah’ada aa’arafo be h’aqqeqa minka.’
Then say each of the following ten times: Beka Yaa-Allah, Be Mohammed, Be A’li, Be Faatemah, Bil H’asan, Bil Hu’sain, Be A’li-ibne Hu’sain, Be Mohammed-ibne-A’li, Be Ja’far-ibne-Mohammed, Be Mussa-ibne Ja’far, Be Ali-ibne Musa, Be Mohammed-ibne Ali, Be Ali-ibne-Mohammed, Bil-Hasan-ibne Ali, Bil-Hujjate Alaihis Salaam. (Then invoke Allah to fulfill your legitimate desires.)
Reciting Ziarat of Immam Hussain (a.s.) on all the three nights is Sunnat-e-Mowakkeda (highly desirable).
It is also highly desirable to remain awake and pray dua’s and salaats in these nights. One should beseech Allah (swt) for mercy and forgiveness for one’s own self, parents, relatives, living and dead sisters and brothers-in-faith.
Once some asked the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) what to ask from Allah (swat) in the ‘night of Qadr’ if he got a chance. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) advised him to beseech Almighty Allah for his deliverance (one the Day of Judgment),
Pray 100 rak’at Namaaz like Fajr Namaaz in two Rak’ats. In each rakat, after Surah-al-Hamd to recite Surah Ahad and after each two rakats to say salaam. If one’s prayers are in pending (Qaza) it is better to perform those during these nights.
In addition to the above-mentioned common Aamaal one should also perfom the following:
1) To recite 100 times ‘Astaghferullaha wa atoobo elaihe’
2) To recite 100 times: Allaahummal an qatalata Amiril Mo’menin”
Recitation of Surah Ankaboot, Surah Dukhaan and Surah Rome and 100 times Surah Qdar, Dua-e-Jawshane-e-Kabir and Dua-e-Maqaaremul Akhlaaq from Sahife-Kaamelah has also been highly recommended prayers; kindly refer to ‘Mafaatihul Jinnan.’ and other books of Duas for more details and prayersLAILATUL QADR - THE NIGHT OF DESTINY-(PART II- SOME MORE DETAILS) | for everyone |
LAILATUL QADR - THE NIGHT OF DESTINY
(PART II- SOME MORE DETAILS)
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) has been quoted to have said: " The gates of heaven will be opened during Lailatul-Qadr, every devotee who performs prayers during it will receive a tree in Paradise for each prostration he makes, a tree under whose shade a rider may keep riding for a hundred years without leaving its shade. And he will receive for each ra'kaat a mansion in
Yawaqeet by Abul-Fahdi ibn Mohammed al Harwi)
Al- Dooryasti in 'Kitab al-Husna, relying on the authority of Abu Ja'fer al-Jawad who quotes his forefathers quoting Immam al Baqr (a.s.), The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) is quoted saying
"that whoever spends Lailatul-Qadr adoring his Lord will have all his sins forgiven even if they had numbered as many as the stars in the heavens, the weight of the mountains, or the measures of the seas." Al-Harwi reported a similar tradition, which is recorded in 'Kanz al Yawaqeet'
Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him and his fathers, is quoted on pg 5351 of Al-Sahih al Jami' citing the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) saying : " Lailatul-Qadr is easy, airy, neither hot or very cold; the sun rises on its morning colored pale red." “At the morning of Lailatul-Qadr, the sun rises without rays, looking like a washbowl, till it is high." This tradition is reported by Muslim and al-Tirmithi. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) is also reported saying: "Lailatul-Qadr is a serene night, neither hot nor cold, and no comet is hurled during it. One of the signs of its advent is that the sun rises without a ray."
Zad al-Ma'ad quotes a few scholars who believe in its perpetuity, indicating that some of them say that it is at the conclusion of the year; therefore, it has to be observed during all nights of the year so that one of them will be it.
Others say that it is the beginning of the month of Ramadan, while others say it is the middle of it; yet others say it is the seventeenth. Still others say it is the twenty-ninth of it, while others say it is the last night of it, and most Sunnis of our time are of the view that is the twenty-seventh. This proves that the reason why it was not determined exactly is due to the purpose of observing entire month.
Do you need any more clues regarding the greatness of Lailatul-Qadr ? It is narrated by the authors of 'Thewab al-A'mal and Bihar al-Anwar have cited the son of Al-Mutwakkil quoting Muhammad al-Attar quoting al-Ash ari quoting Muhammed ibn Hassan quoting ibn Mahran quoting al-Bataini quoting his father quoting Abu Busayr quoting Immam Abu Abdullah al-Sadiq (a.s), the men whose truthfulness is not doubted even by the most skeptic scholar, saying that whoever recites al-Ankabut (The Spider and Surah a-Rum (Romans) will secure admission into Paradise without any exception. On pg.29 vol 94,
WHICH NIGHT???
Is it the 17th or the 19th? Immam Abu Ja'far Muhammed ibn Ali al-Baqir (a.s.) is quoted in Bihar al-Anwar and Da'aim al-Islam as having said: "The 17th Night of the month of Ramadan is when the two parties met, and 19th is when the lists of the Pilgrims is written down, and the 21st is when successors to the Prophets passed away and Jesus Christ (a.s.) was raised to Heaven and Moses (a.s.) passed away, whereas the 23rd is hoped to be
Lailatul-Qadr." Both al'Ayyahsi's Tafsir and al-Majilisi's Bihar al-anwar quote "Amr ibn Sa'eed saying: " A man from Medina disagreed with me regarding the night (Lailatu-Qadr) when the two hosts met, saying that it was the night of the 17th of the month of Ramadan, so I went to see Abu Abdullah (a.s.) and told him about our disagreement, whereupon the Immam
(a.s.) said:
"The man from Medina did not say the truth; I know that you mean it is the 19th when the Commander of the Faithful (Immam Ali a.s.) was wounded, and it is the same night when Jesus son of Mary (a.s.) was raised to Heavens." Both references quote Humran quoting Abu Abdullah Immam Jafar -as Sadiq (a.s.) saying, "The destiny referred to as Lailatul-Qadr is the same destiny referred to in another verse (of Surah al-A'raf) wherein the most Exalted One says: “When their doom is come, they shall not remain behind in the least, nor they will go before."
Or is it the 21st or the 23rd? Al-Hussain ibn 'Ubaydullah according to Majalis al-Shaykt, as quoted on pg. 2, vol.94, of Bihar al-Anwar, quotes Ahmed ibn Muhammed ibn Yayha who in turn quote his father saying " I was in the company of Abu Abdullah (a.s.) when Abu Busayr asked him, ' Which night
is the one when one is to plead to his Lord whatever he wishes to plead?
The Immam (a.s.) answered him by saying, " Either the twenty-first or the twenty-third." He then asked the Immam (a.s.) “What if I have no strength to observe both of them? The Immam (a.s.) said, “How easy it is to observe them when compared to your pleas " ! Abu Abdullah (a.s.) is also quoted in the same volume of Bihar al-Anwar saying, " The twenty-third night of the month of Ramadan is the one when every weighty matter is decided, when trials, tribulations, deaths, and means of sustenance and other matters are determined, and so will whatever Allah decrees to take place for the entire next year; so, congratulations to any one who remains awake during it bowing, prostrating, contemplating upon his sins, weeping on their account, for if you do all of that, God will, you will never be disappointed ". Then he added, "Allah will order an angel to call out during each and every day of the month of Ramadan conveying Allah's message to them thus " Good news, O My servants, I have forgiven your past sins and permitted some of you to intercede on behalf of the rest on Lailatul-Qadr except those who break their fast with an intoxicant or those who bear grudge against another Muslim brother" !
It's narrated that Allah Suhbanahu wa Ta'ala wards off evil and sins and all types of trials on the from all His servants who fast and grants them light in their hearing and vision; Paradise is decorated during Lalilatul-Qadar's day and night. The great Sunni scholar ibn Abu-Hadid, in his commentary on Nahjul-Balagha, cites ibn al-Muhallabi quoted ibn al-Kalbi quoting Shaddad ibn Ibrahim quoting 'Ubaydullah ibn al Hassan aal-Fahri quoting ibn 'Aradaah saying: "The Commander of Faithful (a.s.) was once as about Lailatul-Qaadr, and he said, " It is not all improbable that I know which night it is and deliberately hide such knowledge, and I do not at all doubt that Allah hid such knowledge from you only out of His love for you, for if you knew which night it is, you would have honored it and left the others, and I hope you will not err in its regard."

Evil Consequences of Aaq-e-Waledain
Aaq-e-Waledain brings disgrace in the Hereafter, and goodness to parents brings honour and glory. As Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (a.s.) has said,
"Those who wish an easy death should do good to the relatives and be kind to parents. When one does this, Allah will make easy the agony of death. In this world he will not face difficulties and poverty."

Aaq-e-Waledain Cause Poverty and Misfortune
There was a young man from Madinah. His parents were very old. He never did any good towards them. He neglected them and did not expend any of his wealth for their well-being. After sometime he became a destitute and fell sick. His wretchedness and misery reached such extreme, that he became a pitiable character. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said,
"Those who cause hurt to their parents should derive lessons from the life of this man. See how his wealth and property has been taken away. His affluence and independence has changed to poverty and his health has turned into disease. Whatever position he was to get in Heaven, he has been deprived of due to his sins; in its place the fire of Hell has been prepared for him."

The Material Effects of Aaq
The previous traditions mention the ill effects of 'Aaq-e-Waledain' in the hereafter. The following traditions describe the evil repercussions of Aaq-e-Waledain in this life.
The last of the Prophets (s.a.w.s.) says:
"There are three kinds of sins which are punished in this world, rather than being given respite till Qiyamat. The first is Aaq-e-Waledain. The second, injustice upon men and third, thanklessness for favour."
"There are three kinds of sins which are punished in this world, rather than being given respite till Qiyamat. The first is Aaq-e-Waledain. The second, injustice upon men and third, thanklessness for favour."
Hazrat Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (a.s.) stated,
"Secret charity cools down Divine anger while goodness to parents and benevolence to relatives, prolongs life."
"Secret charity cools down Divine anger while goodness to parents and benevolence to relatives, prolongs life."
(Behaarul Anwaar).
Another tradition says,
"Benevolence to parents and secret charity, ward off poverty, and both (these deeds) prolong life. Seventy types of death are kept away."
(Behaarul Anwaar)

(Behaarul Anwaar)
"Those who assure me that they will be benevolent to parents and do good to the relatives, I will give them excess of wealth and a long life and assure them of being close among our group."
(Mustadrakul Wasael)
Hazrat Imam Naqi (a.s.) said,
"The displeasing of parents causes decrease in sustenance and degradation (also follows)."

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) says that Allah has two Angels one of whom says, "O Allah! Protect those who do good to the parents." The other Angel prays, "O Allah! Destroy those people by retribution, with whom their parents are angry." Needless to say, the prayers of the Angels are always accepted by Allah.
About heart's desires and extended hopes | for everyone |
O' people what I fear most about you are two things - acting according to desires and extending of hopes. As regards acting according to desires, this prevents from truth; and as regards extending of hopes, it makes one forget the next world. You should know this world is moving rapidly and nothing has remained out of it except last particles like the dregs of a vessel which has been emptied by someone. Beware, the next world is advancing, and either of them has sons i.e. followers. You should become sons of the next world and not become sons of this world because on the Day of Judgement every son would cling to his mother. Today is the Day of action and there is no reckoning while tomorrow is the Day of reckoning but there would be no (opportunity for) action.
as-Sayyid ar-Radi says: "al-hadhdha' " means rapid but some people have read it "jadhdha' ". According to this version the meaning would be that the cycle of worldly enjoyments would end soon.
