Surah al-Hadid (The Iron) 57
This is a ‘madani’ surah and it ha 29 ayaat. The Holy Prophet (SAWW) said that the reciter of this surah will be counted from among the staunch believers. ImamMuhammad al-Baqir (AS) has said that whoever recites all the surahs that start with Tasbih of Allah (SWT) before going to sleep, will not die before meeting the 12th Holy Imam (AS) and after his death, he will have the honour of being a neighbour of the Holy Prophet (SAWW).
It is narrated from Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq that if surah al-Hadid and al-Mujadilah are recited in the faraa’idh(compulsory prayers) frequently, then the reciter will never face any punishment of Allah (SWT) in this world and will not see any evil from his family. If recited by a prisoner, he will be released soon. If worn on the neck as a talisman(ta’weez), the wearer will not be killed in war. This surah also makes one courageous.
Surah al-Mujadilah (The Pleading One) 58
There are 22 ayaat in this surah and it was revealed in Madinah. The Holy Prophet (SAWW) said that the one who recites this surah will be from among the thankful servants of Allah (SWT) on the Day of Judgement. If surah al-Mujadilah is recited near a sick person, or worn by the sick person as a talisman(ta’weez), he will be cured of his illness. If recited on anything that has been buried in the ground, it will remain protected until the person himself removes it.
Reciting this surah brings a feeling of ease to a restless person. Constant recitation also protects one from thieves. Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (AS) has said that recitation of this surah keeps one safe from the evil designs of Jinn and men. If recited on dust or sand and then thrown towards the enemy, he is easily overcome.
Surah al-Hashr (The Banishment) 59
This surah is ‘madani’ and it has 24 ayaat. It is narrated that whoever recites this surah will be sent salutations from Jannah, Jahannam, the angels, the Heavens, the Earth, the trees, the birds, the sun and the moon and these will pray for the forgiveness of his sins. When he dies, he will die a martyr. If a person recites both surah ar-Rahman and surah al-Hashr then one angel will be assigned to protect him at all times.
If a four-rak’ah prayer is recited where after surah al-Hamd surah al-Hashr is recited, then whatever important work one goes to do will be successful (with the condition that it is not a sin). Drinking water in which this surah has been dissolved is good for memory and concentration. If this surah is recited for forty consecutive days without missing a day, it will make even the hardest task become an easy one.
Surah al-Mumtahanah (The Examined One) 60
This surah was revealed in Makkah and it has 13 verses. It is narrated from Imam Ali Zainul Abideen (AS) that if a person recites this surah in any of his prayers (salaat), his heart will become filled with faith and belief. On the Day of Judgement, all the believing men and women will pray for him to be forgiven by Allah (SWT).
Recitation of this surah increases the acuity of vision and protects the reciter and his children from insanity. The Holy Prophet (SAWW) has said that angels send salutations and pray for the forgiveness of the one who recites this surah. If he dies on that day then he will have died as a martyr. Drinking water in which this surah has been dissolved also acts as a cure for some ailments.

To draw hands on the face
Ibne Ghaddah has reported on the authority of Imam Sadiq (AS): “No man raised his hand towards God unless God is ashamed of returning it empty.
Therefore, anyone of you who recites Dua should not pull it back without drawing it on his face.”
It has been reported on the authority of Imam Baqir (AS): “No man extends his hand towards God unless God is ashamed of returning it empty and puts some of His bounty and mercy -that amount which He wills -in it. Therefore, when one of you recite Dua do not pull back your hand without having drawn it on your face.”
In another Hadith, we read: “You should draw it on your face and chest.”

Action: Challenge Quran Desecration with 'Learn, Don't Burn'
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/9/2010) -- CAIR is asking Muslims and other people of conscience to support a majoreducational initiative in response to an extremist Gainesville, Fla., church's plan to burn copies of the Quran on September 11.

The "Learn, Don't Burn" initiative will seek to distribute 200,000 copies of the Qurans to replace the 200 books that the Florida church plans to burn. The Qurans will be sponsored and distributed through CAIR's ongoing "Explore the Quran" campaign.

CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad will offer the khutba (sermon) for Eid ul-Fitr prayers in Gainesvilleon Friday and will hold a news conference in that city on Saturday following any Quran burnings.
In his Friday sermon, Awad will outline how Muslims and people of other faiths should respond to the burning.
"This unfortunate behavior on the part of the church's officials should prompt stepped-up interfaith dialogue nationwide," said Awad. "People may be surprised to learn about the commonalities between the Quran, the Bible and the Torah."
Awad said research shows that there is a correlation between increasing knowledge of Islam and decreasing anti-Muslim prejudice -- a fact that prompted CAIR's new initiative. According to CAIR public opinion surveys, only two percent of Americans say they are "very knowledgeable" about Islam, and almost 60 percent say they are "not very knowledgeable" or "not at all knowledgeable" about the faith.
Today CAIR also released its new "Challenging Islamophobia" pocket guide, which offers tips on dealing with anti-Islam rhetoric on the Internet, in the workplace and in schools and universities. The guide also offers a definition of Islamophobia and advice for challenging anti-Muslim views espoused by public figures.

Mattis asking that he personally visit the Florida church to request that the September 11 burnings be cancelled.
Last week, CAIR distributed public service announcements (PSAs) designed to challenge growing anti-Muslim sentiment in American society. Those PSAs have already been viewed by more than 12 million people.
Earlier this month, CAIR released an online toolkit designed to help Muslim communities organize proactive local educational and outreach initiatives such as a "National Day of Unity and Healing" on the upcoming anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.
The toolkit, called "A Teachable Moment Community Response Guide," offers guidance, tools and resources to help Muslim communities respond to specific current events such as the end of Ramadan Eid al-Fitr holiday occurring near September 11, the upcoming "Burn a Koran Day" by the Florida church, the anti-Muslim bigotry generated by the smear campaign against a planned Islamic community center in Manhattan, and the ongoing tension and misunderstanding surrounding the building or expansion of mosques nationwide.

Eid Al-Fitr, A Day For Thanksgiving | for everyone |
Eid Al-Fitr, A Day For Thanksgiving
The day immediately following the end of the holy month of Ramadan is called Eid-e-Fitr. In other words, it falls on the first day of Shawwal. It is one of the greatest Islamic festivals.Eid-e-fitr is the Day of Thanksgiving to Allah, forgiving His servants the opportunity to fast and to worship Him in the month of Ramadan. On this Day, Muslims leave their jobs, wear clean clothes, offer special Eid Prayers, and after prayers go to visit one another and take part in festivities. Small children wear beautiful new clothes, and are very busy enjoying the festival. Their angelic faces beam with joy.
Islam wants that all Muslims, whether rich or poor, should enjoy Eid. It has, therefore, commanded all the well-to-do people to pay the 'Zakat-e-Fitr'. This Zakat is paid on the very day of Eid-e-Fitr. It consists of 3 kilograms of one's daily food or its equivalent in cash.
The payment of 'Zakat-e-Fitr' is obligatory upon every person who is adult, sane and free at the time of the sunset on the last day of Ramadan, and is also not dependent upon others for means of subsistence. If the person concerned is the head of a family, it is incumbent upon him to pay his own 'Zakat-e-Fitr' as well.
'Zakat-e-Fitr' is the right of the poor and the needy, and can be spent for those purposes only, for which Zakat, payable on property, is expendable. This includes helping the deserving people and building hospitals, bridges, schools, etc.
Nowadays, Zakat-e-Fitr' is paid without any planning, with the result that the deserving people do not derive any suitable benefit from it. It would be better if the 'Zakat-e-Fitr' paid by all the people, is collected in one place and spent after proper planning, so that the condition of a good number of needy persons may improve.

EID AL-FITR: MARKING THE END OF THE HOLY MONTH
Eid al-Fitr is celebrated on the first of Shawwal, at the completion of the holy month of Ramadhan. Shawwal is the tenth (10th) month of the Islamic Calender. Eid al-Fitr is a very important and joyous day for all Muslims; it is a true Thanksgiving day for the believing men and women. On this day, Muslims express their joy and gratitude to Allah (SWT) for the health, strength and the opportunities He (SWT) gave to them to fulfill their obligation of fasting and perform good deeds during the blessed month of Ramadhan.
PRESCRIBED ACTIONS:
Performing Ghusl: This is meant to cleanse ourselves from every filth of disobedience and remind us of the reformation achieved during the holy month of Ramadhan, so that we start our lives afresh. A life which is in accordance to the commands of Allah (SWT).
Dua' before ghusl: Allahumma eemaanan bika wa tasdeeqan bikitaabika wa ittibaa-a' sunnati nabiyyika Muhammadin sallahu 'alayhi wa aalihi [ O Allah, believing in Thee, fully aware of Thy book, following the way of life of Thy Prophet Muhammad, Allah's blessings be on him and his progeny]
Dua' after ghusl: Allahummaj-a'lhu kaffaaratan li-dunoobee wa ta-hhir deenee. Allahumma ad-hib 'annid-danas [O Allah, let me make amends and compensate for my wrong doings, (so that) my religion becomes pure and O Allah, remove the dirt from me]
Giving Zakat al-Fitr: This is an emphasised obligation. At the time of sunset of the night preceding Eid day, whoever is adult and sane and is neither unconcious, nor poor, nor the slave of another, he should give, on his own behalf as well as on behalf of all those who are his dependents, about three kilos per head of wheat or barley or dates or raisins or rice or millet etc. It suffices if one pays the price of any one the stated items in cash. According to Ayatullah al-Seestani, it is an obligatory precaution that one should not give from that food which is not staple in his place, even if it be wheat, barley, dates or raisins.
Eid al-Fitr is day of sharing. After deep realisation of the plight of those who are hungry, homeless and have no proper or decent clothes to put on, one ought to become selfless and contribute his part of alms so that all Muslims rejoice the bounties of Allah (SWT). All can afford decent food from the alms of Eid al-Fitr and can buy clothes to wear for the occassion. Simply put, it makes all Muslims into one family rejoicing the bounties of Allah (SWT) together.
Praying "Salat al-Eid": This is a Mustahab (recommended) prayer during the occultation period of Imam al-Hujjah (AJ). It is recommended that one should have a breakfast after sunrise, pay Zakat al-Fitr and then offer this prayer.
"Verily prayer keeps you away from the obscene and detestable.." (29:45) We have been guided to perform the Eid prayer to remind us not indulge into any evil deed and spoil the benefits derived from the holy month. One should therefore abstain from every forbidden act on the day of Eid and the days to follow. The prayer of Eid gives various messages. One of them is purification of soul and remembrance of the day of Judgement. If one reflects over the recommended surahs of this prayer which are: al-A'laa (87), al-Shams (91) and al-Ghashiyah (88), the message of Eid will become apparent.
Other highly recommended actions are as follows:
- To start breakfast with dates or any sweet dish. Shaykh Mufeed (ar) has recommended that one should also eat a little bit of Khake-Shifaa (Soil of Karbala) because it is a precaution against ailments.
- To put on new clothes and apply perfume.
- To recite the following Takbeer (from the night preceding Eid day): Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaaha illallahu Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar walillahil-Hamd. Al-hamdu lillah 'alaa maa hadaana, walahush-Shukr 'alaa maa awlaanaa [Allah is Great, Allah is Great. There is no god save Allah and Allah is Great. Allah is Great. (All) praise be to Allah. We praise Allah for the right path He has guided us to and thank Him for looking after us]
- To recite Dua' Nudbah and the Ziyarah of Imam Abu Abdillah al-Hussayn (as)
- Visiting blood relatives to strengthen the relationship. This is also known as Sile Rahm which is wajib and is known for changing one's destiny and life-span.
- Paying homage to 'Ulama and visiting Muslim neighbors, friends and believers to strengthen brotherhood which in turn strengthens Islam.
Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (as) has said: "Each day of the Almighty, on which no sin is committed is a day of Eid. Each day in which sensual desires are controlled is a day of Eid. Whereas the day when sin is committed is -Yaum al-'Adhaab- day of punishment. So even Eid day can be the day of punishment if sins are committed".

IMPORTANCE OF SURAHS OF THE HOLY QURAN | for everyone |
Surah ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) 55
This surah has 78 verses and it is ‘makki’. Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (AS) has said that reciting this surah on Friday after the dawn prayers carries great reward. Surah as-Rahman removes hypocrisy from one’s heart.
On the Day of Judgement, this surah will come in the shape of a human being who will be handsome and will have a very nice scent. Allah (SWT) will then tell him to point out those people who used to recite this surah and he will name them. Then he will be allowed to beg pardon for those whom he names and Allah (SWT) will pardon them.
The Imam (AS) also said that if a person dies after reciting this surah, then is considered a martyr. Writing this surah and keeping it makes all difficulties and problems vanish and also cures eye ailments. Writing it on the walls of a house keeps away all types of household pests. If recited at night, then Allah (SWT) sends an angel to guard the reciter until he wakes up and if recited in the daytime then an angel guards him until sunset.
Surah al-Waqi’ah (The Event) 56
This surah was revealed in Makkah and it has 96ayaat. The Holy Prophet (SAWW) has said that a person who recites this surah will not be from among the absent-minded ones. Poverty does not come near this person.
Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (AS) said that the one who recites surah al-Waqi’ah will have a shining face of the Day of Reckoning. It is narrated from Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (AS) that whoever recites this surah on every Friday, will be from those whom Allah (SWT) loves and he will be loved by people also. He will be free from troubles and poverty and will be counted from the loyal companions of Imam Ali(AS). Reciting this surah on a dead person leads to all his sins being forgiven and if the person is on his deathbed then he will die with ease.
Keeping this surah in one’s possession is a means of increase in sustenance. Imam Ali Zainul Abideen (AS) has narrated that if a person recites this surah (at night) on the first night of the lunar month and then continues to recite the same surah, increasing the number of times to coincide with the date, such that on the tenth night he recites it ten times, until the fourteenth night, then his sustenance will increase greatly.

Payment of fitrah becomes wajib (obligatory) after sunset on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr on a person who is baligh (attained puberty), aqil (sane), and is neither needy, nor indigent nor unconscious for himself and all his dependants wherever and whoever they are.
For the purpose of fitrah, dependants include guests who are present at the host’s house at the time of sunset on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr. However, if a guest comes without the consent of the host, his fitrah becomes wajib upon the host on the basis of ehtiyat wajib (obligatory precaution). This ruling also applies to a person who is forcibly made to maintain another person. The fitrah of a guest arriving after sunset even if he was invited earlier is not upon the host, unless he is a dependant of the host. (Ehtiyat Mustahab to pay foruninvited guest or one forcibly maintained.)
Fitrah should be given from wheat, barley, raisins, rice or millet or its cash value at the rate of one sa’a (about 3 kg.) per head. On the basis of obligatory precaution (ehtiyat wajib), one should not give fitrah from that food which is not staple in his place, even if it be wheat, barley, dates or raisins. (Staple food has not been made a condition).
Fitrah is given to a needy person who, according to the shari’a is a faqeer, that is, a person who is not able to meet his living expenses for himself and for his dependants for one whole year, nor does he possess the means to earn a livelihood for himself and his dependants. It is ehtiyat wajib that the fitrah is given to a faqeer who is a Shia Ithna-Asheri. (Ehtiyat Mustahab to give to a Shia Ithna-Asheri Faqeer.)
Note: The faqeer to whom fitrah is given need not necessarily be adil, but it is ehtiyat wajib that fitrah should not be given to a person who drinks liquor, or one who does not perform his daily salaat or one who commits sins openly or one who will use the fitrah in a sinful way.
Note: The faqeer to whom fitrah is given need not necessarily be adil, but it is ehtiyat wajib that fitrah should not be given to a person who drinks liquor, or one who does not perform his daily salaat or one who commits sins openly or one who will use the fitrah in a sinful way.
A non-Seyyid cannot give fitrah to a Seyyid even if he maintains a Seyyid and pays his fitrah.
It is ehtiyat mustahab (recommended precaution) that a faqeer be given a minimum of one full fitrah. More can be given to one person also. (Ehtiyat Wajib to give a minimum of one full fitrah to a person).
If a servant is employed on the condition that the employer will pay all his expenses, then the servant’s fitrah becomes wajib upon the employer. But if the condition is the payment of the salary only, then his fitrah is not wajib upon the employer.
If the price of one type of grain is double that of the other, one cannot give half the measure of the better grain nor its cash value as fitrah.
It is recommended to give preference to one’s relatives when giving fitrah, then to the neighbors and then ahlul ilm (people of learning). Preference, however, can be given to another category of people if there is a good reason to do so.
For those who pray Salatul Eid, it is ehtiyat wajib to give the fitrah before the Eid prayers and for those not praying Salatul Eid the time extends up to before Dhuhr. If fitrah is set aside but not distributed by Dhuhr, then whenever it is disbursed, the niyyah (intention) of fitrah should be made. If one does not give out or set aside the fitrah within the due time, he should give the fitrah later, on the basis of precaution, without making the niyyah of adaa or qadhaa but only qurbatan Ilallah.
An item set aside for fitrah cannot be used or substituted by another item.
On the basis of ehtiyat wajib, fitrah should not be sent outside the town one resides in if there are deserving people in that town. If one does so and the fitrah gets spoiled or lost then it must be given again.
Fitrah cannot be given before the month of Ramadhan and it is better not to give it during the month of Ramadhan. However, if a loan was given to a person who deserves to receive fitrah, then when the fitrah becomes due that amount can be set off against the fitrah.
If fitrah is given from a thing which is inferior or defective, it will not be sufficient.

MOST IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION IN BUSINESS | for everyone |
Most Importance of Communication in Business
Communication is really the one, most important aspect of any relation. May that be a personal one or a professional one. In this article though, we shall stress upon the business world. Communication is a wide term to use, don't you think? What does communication entail in a business scenario and what is the importance of communication in business organization? These, and some more issues of the same nature will be discussed and tackled in the following article. If you've been curious about the need and importance of business communication, then reading the following article will help.
Importance of Communication in Business World
What is the importance of communication skills in a business scenario? Let us go through a few key points that stress on the importance of communication in business management.
Convey Messages
Simply put, communication allows a process to take place. The sender sends a message through a medium. The receiver receives it, processes it and then gives a feedback which completes the communication process. Without this process, no two people could ever communicate effectively. There would be no information dispatched and hence no work done! That is the importance of communication in the workplace.
Clarity of Ideas
When one communicates with another in a business scenario, it is important to understand that the message has to be conveyed in such a way that there is complete clarity in what is being said. The message should be so clear that all doubts and vague and unclear thoughts will be dispelled. The communication process also allows for the person who has received the message to give a feedback and therefore the communication format achieves a 360 degree solution.
Get Work Done
It is only through the adaption of the varied communication processes like speech, body language, gestures and other feedback mediums that any work can be expected to get done. An instruction, for example, that is given by a boss to his subordinate needs to be carried through till the final stage of execution. If the process of communication and feedback is missing, an end result is never possible.
Avoid Misunderstandings
When two people work together, there is bound to be miscommunication at times, which can lead to misunderstandings and other problems in the workplace. Which naturally affects the work adversely and the business suffers. Communication offers a platform whereby all the misunderstandings can get cleared and one can hope for solutions. This is crucial if there has to be a success made of the plan.
Increase Productivity and Efficiency
When there is a proper communication process taking place then the productivity and efficiency of the employees increases. This is because the right information is dispelled and the correct action executed. Therefore there is no, or very less scope for mistakes to happen.
Employee Job Satisfaction
When there is scope for open communication at the work place. There is a clear path provided, whereby the seniors and subordinates can talk and solve workplace conflicts amongst themselves. If a surety is provided by the employers that open workplace communication will be given scope and it will be accepted in a healthy manner, then the problems and conflicts that a company faces will be dispelled and the productivity will increase, thereby increasing the profits as well. Along with that, the employees will have a scope for improvement in their work and duties. Every time they make a mistake or are unable to carry forth their duties effectively and they get a feedback and ways of improvement from their employers, they will begin to understand the pulse of the job and get better at it.
If you look at an overall picture of the business worlds then you will realize the importance of communication in business-no matter how big or small. The success and failure of any business truly depends on the modes of effective communication employed. If you have a business, you know what you need to do now.
