Children are developing potentially dangerous peanut allergies at a much younger age, according to a new study.
And that's not all: The study researchers found more parents are feeding their children peanuts at an earlier age.
"This should be a wake-up call to all parents of young children," says researcher Wesley Burks, MD, chief of pediatric allergy and immunology at Duke University Medical Center, in a news release. "Kids are being exposed to peanuts and having allergic reactions much earlier than they did five or 10 years ago."
About 1.8 million Americans are allergic to peanuts, and researchers say the number of peanut allergies diagnosed in children has doubled in the last decade. They say these results suggest earlier exposure to peanuts may be a major factor behind that rapid increase.
"There's a valid reason to delay introduction to products containing peanuts," says researcher Todd D. Green, MD, assistant professor of pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, in the release. "When kids are older, it can be easier to manage bad reactions. They can tell you right away if their mouths feel funny. For that reason alone, it's worth delaying exposing your child to a peanut product, especially if a child is at high risk."
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that parents not give peanuts to children until age 3 if there is a strong history of allergies in the family.

Peanut Allergies Showing Up Earlier

Researchers compared statistics on children diagnosed with peanut allergies at a Duke University clinic between July 2000 and April 2006 with similar-age children diagnosed between 1995 and 1997.
The results, published in Pediatrics, showed the average age of first exposure to peanuts was 14 months in 2000-2006 compared with 22 months five to 10 years earlier.
The age of first peanut allergy reaction also decreased from about 24 months in 1995-1997 to 18 months in 2000-2006. Many of the children with peanut allergy also had other food allergies such as allergies to eggs, cow's milk, nuts, fish, soy, wheat, and sesame seeds.
Researchers say as many as one-third of people with peanut allergies have severe reactions that can be fatal.

Beetroot contains folate, potassium and manganese. The green leafy tops are especially nutritious as they contain calcium, beta-carotene and iron.
Experts believe that the red pigmentation of beetroot contains certain                anti-cancer agents and beetroot has been used in the treatment of cancer         for some years.
Beetroot has for many years been used as a treatment for cancer in Europe.       Specific anti-carcinogens are bound to the red colouring matter which              supposedly helps fight against cancer and beetroot also increases the              uptake of oxygen by as much as 400 percent. Additional studies are taking          place to add support to these claims. The green leafy part of the beetroot is       also of nutritional value containing beta-carotene and other carotenoids,

Sweet potato is the richest low-fat source of vitamin E. It contributes to heart health and is a good source of dietary antioxidants. It can help to regulate high blood pressure and also helps anaemia. It may also protect against inflammatory conditions.
How much sweet potatoe should you eat?
An average 200 g serving of sweet potato provides all the carotene needs of an adult and more than double their vitamin E requirements.

Maximising the benefits of sweet potatoe
Sweet potatoes should be stored in a cool and dark place. Like most vegetables, they should be eaten not too long after purchase, as their vitamin contents can diminish over time.

Though the demands of humanity and truthfulness alone are enough for giving respect to father and mother, as Islam does not remain silent even in the matters which are in total agreement with heart and mind, rather it makes it emphatically incumbent to follow relevant rules in that respect.

Islam has put so much emphasis on the rights of parents that such emphasis is seldom seen in any other matters. Mostly it is seen in Holy Quran that after ordering worship of none but only one god, the command to respect parents immediately follows.
Verses
1. And when We made a covenant with the children of Israel: You shall not serve any but Allah and you shall do good to your parents, and to the near of kin and to the orphans and the needy, and you shall speak to men good words.
2. And serve Allah and do not associate any thing with Him and be good to the parents and to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the neighbour of your kin and the alien neighbour, and the companion in a journey and the wayfarer and those whom your right hands possess; surely Allah does not love him who is proud, boastful.
3. And your Lord has commanded that you shall not serve any but Him, and goodness to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, say not to them so much as Ugh nor chide them, and speak to them a generous word. And make yourself submissively gentle to them with compassion, and say: O my Lord! have compassion on them, as they brought me up when I was little.

Allah says: when you turn your face to Allah in worship or prayer or supplication do not forget your parents be they alive or dead and seek Allah's Mercy for them.

The fact that the mention of being thankful to parents has been made along with that to the Lord for His bounties shows how great and vast are the rights of parents.

Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: One who looks angrily toward his parents makes God so angry that God does not accept his prayers.. and this is so even if the two parents might have done in justice to him
Imam Baqir (a.s.) has quoted the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) saying: Refrain from harassing parents because the fragrance of paradise which can be smelled from a distance of a thousand year journey does not reach a person who has displeased his parents, who has committed adultery in old age, and the one who drags his clothes on ground as a sign of ego as greatness belongs to only one God.
Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: Had there been anything lighter by uttering ugh to parents God might have prohibited even its utterance as we have explained it is the Safest way of expressing disgust and it is the least indication of disrespect and opposition the ones parents. One of the ugly things making man aaq displeased by parents is to look harshly or angrily toward them.
It is recorded from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) that he said: To look with love and affection at parents is an act of Ibaadat.

Verse No: 15 of Surah Luqman says: And if they contend with you that you should associate with Me what you have no knowledge of, do not obey them, and keep company with them in this world kindly.

The Holy Quran also commands: O you who believe! do not take your fathers and your brothers for guardians if they love unbelief more than belief; and whoever of you takes them for a guardian, these it is that are the unjust. Say: If your fathers and your sons and your brethren and your mates and your kinsfolk and property which you have acquired, and the slackness of trade which you fear and dwellings which you like, are dearer to you than Allah and His Apostle and striving in His way, then wait till Allah brings about His command: and Allah does not guide the transgressing people.

Similarly when there is a tussle between the pleasure of God and other things, everything should be sacrificed for God.
the status of mother is higher.

Mali bin Khanees says: Imam Sadiq (a.s.) has said: a man asked the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.). It is recorded from Imam Sadiq 9(a.s.)0 that a man approached the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) and said: Behaarul Anwaar. In these two traditions the command to do good to the mother has been given thrice and hence it is the proof that the respect for mother is higher.

It includes the time after their death also. Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: What prevents you from behaving nicely to parents during their lifetime or after their death?

It is also recorded from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.): Verily a man keeps serving his parents continuously during their entire lifetime, then they die and he does not repay their debts and doesn't and pray for their forgiveness then in these circumstance he is noted as Aaq disliked by parents. And sometimes it also happens that the son does not do good to be parents during their life span but when they expire he pays up their debt and prays to God for their forgiveness, God considers him as a pious person .

Conclusively we must mention that we must know that behaving nicely or adversely with parents has a takweeni (universal effect) which applies to man during this worlds life. Imam Sadiq (a.s.) has said: Behave nicely with your parents so that your children may also be good to you.

One of the dangerous habits and bad deeds is spreading of shamelessness or indecency in which, sometimes, some people and sometimes even our pious people get involved.

In this connection, the Holy Quran says: Surely as for those who love that scandal should circulate respecting those who believe, they shall have a grievous chastisement in this world and the hereafter; and Allah knows, while you do not know.

An open offence is greater than a secret sin. Look at this word of Imam Ali bin Moosa Reza in this connection: One who gives circulation to a sin is banished and forsaken and the one who covers a sin will be forgiven by God.

As a matter of fact, A sin is like fire. When there is a fire at one point in the society we should try to cool it down or to contain it. But if we fan the fire and thus carry it from one point to another point it will engulf everything and then nobody will be able to control it.

Apart from this, the greatness of severity of a sin in the eyes of the common man and the apparent protection of the society from pollution, in itself, is a big dam against the flood of corruption. The circulation of scandal and shamelessness and spread of the sin openly breaches this dam, makes the sin light in public eye and makes pollution easy.

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) has said: a man approached him and said: may I be sacrificed for you; people have narrated a deed allegedly done by a brother-in-faith hearing which I became displeased. When I asked that person, he denied while all reliable persons have narrated this thing from that person himself. The Imam said: Refute your own eye and ear against your believing brother so much so that even if fifty persons say that he had done something but he says he did not then believe him and disbelieve them. Never circulate in society a thing which may defame him and bring his personality down, otherwise you will be the one about whom God has said: those who love that scandal should circulate respecting those who believe, they shall have a grievous chastisement in this world and the hereafter.

And Amirul Momineen (a.s.) said: Always think good about a deed of your brother-in-faith until its opposite become clear and do not imagine badly about him as long as you can consider him correct.
In conclusion we must know that one day each and every organ of our body will be asked to account for the deeds done and that it will be a hard questioning.

The Holy Quran says: And follow not that of which you have not the knowledge; surely the hearing and the sight and the heart, all of these, shall be questioned.

Finally Muslims must keep in mind that the hypocrites, some times, through rumour mongering and circulation of allegations, defame and drive away great personalities from the field and they assassinate the character of people so severely that they introduce even the most honest man as the most dishonest. For example, during the last hundred years, just look what they had done with great men like Ayatollah Sheikh Fazlullah Noori and Ayatollah Kaashaani and Shaheed Behishti and others
In order to prevent shamelessness and turmoil in society Islam has framed laws and rules for the society. Some of them are:
Ali (a.s.) has said: Do not mount women on saddled animals as it provides preliminaries of sin.
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) has said: Women should not walk in the middle of the roads. Rather they should walk by its sides
Imam Sadiq (a.s.) has said: One of the promises obtained by the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) from women was that: they would not ravel or settle with men in isolation.
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) has said: One who has faith in Allah and the Hereafter should not sleep in a place where he can hear the breathing of a female stranger.
Abu Baseer says: I asked Imam Sadiq (a.s.): How if a woman walks on the road and man looks at her from behind? The Hazrat replied: Do you like that someone looks at your wife in this way? I said: No. Then desire for others what you desire for yourself.
Imam Sadiq (a.s.) has said: If a man's eye gets injured by an arrow while peeping into the house of others there is no compensation.
Yes, God and His Apostle love self-respecting and zealous person s. Many narrations have been recorded in this matter from the innocent Imams (a.s.). They have given much importance to the problem of Ghairat. Of course, here it must be remembered that Islam has strictly prohibited unnecessary harshness and misplaced suspicion and has taken into consideration only those things that have been prohibited by Islam. It is obvious that suspicion and undue harshness has torn apart sweet relations in many families. That is why Amirul Mo-mineen (a.s.) says to his son Imam Hasan (a.s.):
Beware of misplaced zeal and undue strictness as this attitude drags pious women from the right path to wrong lanes.
Imam Sadiq (a.s.) has said: Paradise has been denied prohibited to a shameless man who has no self-respect.

Imam Sadiq (a.s.) who says: GHAIRAT of woman is Hasad.

Similarly he has said at another place: Verily, Allah has ordained compulsory Jihad for men and also a jihad for women. The jihad of men is to sacrifice his wealth and life in the path of God until finally they attain martyrdom and the jihad of women is to show patience and tolerance in course of life to tolerate trouble misbehaviour of their husbands who act with Ghairat!

1 - Haaris along with his father Mugheerah asked Imam Sadiq (a.s.): What was the admonition will of Luqman to his son? He said: There were wonderful matters in that will and the most astonishing of all was that he told to his son: Fear Allah in such a way that if you bring forth all the good deeds of the human beings and the jinns, yet He will punish you and so also be so much hopeful of Him that even if you bring forth all the evils sins of men and jinns He will be kind to you. Then said: my father said: There is no Faithful salve unless there are two lights in his soul: Light of fear and Light of hope is such proportion that if this one is weight it not be heavier and if that is weighed it too will not be heavier.
2 -Hasan bin Abi Surah says: I heard from Imam Sadiq (a.s.): A faithful really does not become a faithful until he is both fearful and hopeful and he is not fearful and hopeful unless he acts in accordance with that fear and hope.
3 - It has been recorded from Imam Sadiq (a.s.): There is a group of people who commit sin and then say we are hopeful of of Gods Mercy and they entertain the same belief till their death and they do unto repent. Then said: These are liars; they are not hopeful of God and they do not fear His punishment, because, if a man is hopeful of something he seeks it and if one fears something he runs away from it.

1 - Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: Addressing Ishaaq bin Ammar he said: Fear God as if you see him and if you do not see Him, He does see you. If you believe that He does not see you than you have become a Kafir and if you know that He sees you and yet you disobey Him openly then you have imagined Him to be the lowest ones because no slave ever disobeys his master like that.
2 - Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: Whoever knew God, feared Him and who feared Allah pulls out his heart from the material world.
3 - Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: Verily a part of worship is the fear of God. Allah says: Those of His servants only who are possessed of knowledge fear Allah!
Also the Lord Al-mighty says: Therefore fear not the people and ear Me.
Again Allah Almighty says: and whoever is careful of his duty to Allah, He will make for him an outlet.
And Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: Love of status and fame has no place in fearful souls. So one who fears Allah does not love leadership government and fame.
4 - Someone asked Imam Sadiq (a.s.) about Almighty's Words: He replied: the one who knows that Allah sees him and hears what he says and that he has full knowledge of whatever good or bad he does, and the same knowledge prevents him from evil deeds, is the one who fears from the High Grandeur of God and who has bridled his soul from desires.
5 - Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: A faithful person lives between two fears: About sins which he committed and does not know what devastation devastating sins he has brought upon him. So, every morning at every minute he is fearful and nothing but fear improves him as due to it he repents over past thin sins and tries to be obedient and worshipper in the future and a Faithful does not get up in the morning but in a state of fearfulness and only fear improves him.
6 -The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) says: Whoever is able to do evil or a passionate thing and does not commit it for fear of Allah Almighty, God prohibits the Hell-fire from him and gives him protection and security and saves him on the Day of Resurrection from calamities in the form of deeds as he has been promised is His Book the one who fears from standing before God, for him are two gardens.
7 - The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said: one who leaves sinning for fear of Allah Almighty, God makes him happy on the Day of Resurrection.
8 - It is also recorded from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.): A faithful person fears none but Allah and speaks nothing about Allah but the truth, that is, he never attributes indecencies to His Holy Self.
9 - The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said: One who becomes more knowledgeable about his God fears Him more.
10 - Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: Whoever fears Allah, God makes everything afraid of him, and the one who does not fear Allah, God makes him afraid of everything.
11 - Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: No one is secure except the one who fears Allah.

It is the fear of man due to Grandeur of the Creator. It is even if one has done nothing wrong sin because he knows that The highest good points of the Pious people are the lowest points of the Muqarrabeen those esteemed who are nearest to God. Such a man, thus, remains ashamed of himself. This is the fear which was in the hearts of the Prophets and Walis and great Ulamah. Now we invite your attention to some Verses and Traditions:
1 - It is only the Shaitan that causes you to fear from his friends, but do not fear them, and fear Me if you are believers.
2 - Say: Surely I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the chastisement of a grievous day.
3 - What! Will you not fight a people who broke their oaths and aimed at the expulsion of the Apostle, and they attacked you first; do you fear them? But Allah is most deserving that you should fear Him, if you are believers.
4 - And those who join that which Allah has bidden to be joined and have awe of their Lord and fear the evil reckoning.
5 - And most certainly We will settle you in the land after them; this is for him who fears standing in My presence and who fears My threat.
6 - Men whom neither merchandise nor selling diverts from the remembrance of Allah and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of poor-rate; they fear a day in which the hearts and eyes shall turn about.
7 - And he who obeys Allah and His Apostle, and fears Allah, and is careful of his duty to Him, these it is that are the achievers.
8 - Those of His servants only who are possessed of knowledge fear Allah
9 - Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. He who fears will mind.
10 - And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires, then surely the garden - that is the abode.

3. It makes me wonder that a man does not know himself. How can he wish to know God?
4. The climax of knowledge is self-acquaintance?

Greediness is of no value from the religious point of view. Here we draw your attention to some hadiths about it:
A: Saadaan says: I asked Imam Sadiq (a.s.): What strengthens the Faith of man? He replied: Piety. And what drives man out of religion? He said: Greed.
B: And Imam Sadiq (a.s.) said: Be pious and save yourselves from showing yourselves as needy and know that the one who lowers himself before the officer of a tyrant king or in front of his opponent in the matter of religion for seeking mater at benefits of this transient world, God makes him valueless in the eyes of the society and considers him as His enemy.

One of the vices which degrade man and make him world-worshipper is greed. Many times it so happens that man, due to greed, sells out his personality and his religion also and makes himself disgraceful in the society.
In this discussion;
first of all, let us understand what is greed?
Secondly, what are its signs?
Thirdly, what are its individual, social collective and spiritual harms.
Fourthly, what is its remedy?
1 - Greed: means to keep an eye on others wealth. This in itself is a branch of worldly love. So many are people who do not have enough bread to eat and yet they never look at the wealth of others, and like the proverb, keep their cheek rosy by slapping it. Also there are millionaires and are still greedy. In this matter we read in narrations:
No richness can equal the content or needlessness of the heart.
In another hadith we read: Keep away from greed as greed is sure poverty
2 - Signs of Greed: Man talks flatteringly with the wealthy and the powerful and lowers himself before them and sometimes he presents himself as a slave and as asserted by the Amirul Mo-mineen (a.s.): Greed is a permanent slavery or a greedy man is bound by disgrace
3 - Harms of Greed: Greed lowers the value of man in the sight of God and in the society. How disgraceful it is for a man for whom the Lord Almighty has used names like or vicegregent.
Or says about him: And surely we have honoured the children of Adam.
Makes himself downgraded and looks greedily at the wealth or status of others. Society knows such persons and people do not give any respect to them. They are like mosquitoes being swept away in the direction of the wind. In the words of Amirul Mo-mineen (a.s.): No thing destroys religion like novice and no thing corrupts human personality like greed
Contrary to it there are also some people who are not wealthy from the worldly viewpoint and yet they are respected by the society as the society knows that they do not entertain any tined of greed and that they represent the type who, in the words of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.): If anybody wants to become the richest man he should pay more attention to what is in the hand of God and not what is in the possession of other.
Imam Sadiq (a.s.) also says: One who rests content at what God has provided for him is the richest of all men.
C: Amirul Mo-mineen (a.s.) has, reportedly, said: One who approached a wealthy man just for the sake of his wealth and thereby, gives him respect loses two-third of his religion
4 - Cure for this Dreadful Illness: Man should look at its harms. He should notice where did greed lead the people who fell pray to a greed for status or lust for riches. Man must also read history and ponder over it and take note that people like Ibne Saad or ulemas who were greedy approached the courts of kings and consequently fell in the eyes of the society. In this way man can easily remove this dirty vice from himself.
One should also think deeply into the might of the Lord of the worlds only one God and believe that He has power over everything.
He must not show his needs to anyone except only one God until he becomes needless except that of Almighty Allah and frees himself from the slavery of any human being and reaches perfection of spirit.

Imam Ali (pbuh) said:

"Whoever gains victory by committing sins has not really been victorious. One who wins by doing evil deeds is indeed a loser."

Beware that the need of people to you is among the blessings of God to you. So do not scare away the needy people when they come to you, as the
God's blessings will return and go elsewhere.
(Biharol Anwar , Vol . 78 , P . 121)

The least instance of wasting is throwing off the leftover.

 (Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq)

I am making a connection which no one has made before me: Islam is submission and submission is certainty, and certainty is the affirmation of the truth, and affirmation of the truth is acknowledgement, and acknowledgement is performance of what is obligatory, and performance of what is obligatory is appropriate action.

Do not talk about knowledge with the foolish so that they deny you, nor with the ignorant so that they find you oppressive, but talk about it with those of its people whom you meet who will accept it and understand it. (Imam Ali (a.s.)

One day Imam Reza (A.S.) mentioned Quran, so he described the magnanimity and glory of its authority and its miracles saying, "That is the firm cable of Allah, firmest handhold the ideal and model path, it guides leads toward paradise and is the savior from the fire (of Hell). It does not corrode or wear out by the passage and flow of time. More over, its continuous repetition and recitation through the tongue does not devalue and depreciate it, since, it is not made to exist for a certain age or period apart from other ages and periods. Instead, it has been made a proof, logic for all human beings. Falsehood does neither find passage in the front or afore of it nor from it's back side.

Imam Javad (A.S):  whoever had three things, will never regret: 1. refraining from haste 2. Consulting 3.and depending upon God when decision - making (Mesnad Al_Imam Al_Javad, P.247)

Imam Askari (A.S): The most pious among the people is the one to stop ( action ) in doubts , the most worshiping is the one to perform the obligations , the most austere is the one to leave the unlawful , and the most striving is the one to leave sins.
(Tohaf Al_Okool , P.519)

Among the things which expiate the major wrong actions are helping the unfortunate and relieving someone's affliction.

'Anas-ibn-Mlaik narrates from the Messenger of Allah [sa] who said: ‘Accept six things from me, then I will accept (and guarantee) the entrance of Heaven for you:
1. When you speak, tell no lies.
2. When you promise, do not break it.
3. When you are trusted (by others), be honest.
4. Lower your eyes (from committing sin).
5.Guard your modesty.
6. Hold your hands and tongues.’
‘He who grieves a true Muslim  cannot then compensate for it by offering him the entire world because it is not sufficient compensation (unless he repents and appeases the said person).’

The Prophet Mohamed  peace upon him said: "The most perfect of the believers in faith  are the best of them in morals .And the best among them are those who are best to their wives."
And faith means performing & discharging the obligatory duties & avoiding the committing of forbidden acts & faith is the recognition & knowing Allah through the heart & admitting & confessing through the tongue & practicing through the parts of body (physically).

First Infallible Sayings:

• Keep yourselves far from envy, because it eats up and takes away good actions, like the fire that eats up and burns wood.
Whoever suppresses his anger, when he has in his power to show it, God will give him a great reward.

• He is not strong and powerful, who throws people down, but he is strong who withholds himself from anger.

Honesty brings subsistence. Dishonesty brings poverty.

1- Imam al-Hadi(A.S.) said to one of his adherents: In a friendly manner say to him: When Allah intends goodness for somebody, He makes him accept the blame of the friends.
2- Al-Mutawakkil (the Abbasid caliph) vowed he would give much money as alms if he would recover his health. When he was healthy, he wanted to fulfill his vow: therefore, he asked the scholars how much he should give as alms so as to be regarded as much money. The caliph then submitted the question before Imam Ali-un-Naqi al-Hadi (A.S.), who answered:
You should give eighty dirhams as alms. When he was asked about this definiton, the Holy Imam (A.S.) answered: Allah says to His Messenger (p): Allah has helped you on many occasions. (Holy Qur'an 9:25) As we counted these many occasions, they were eighty. However, Allah regarded them as many.
Al-Mutawakkil was pleased by this explanation and gave eighty dirhams as alms.
3- There are definite places in which Allah likes the servants to supplicate to Him. One of these places is the tomb of Al-Hussein: Master of the Martyrs (A.S.).
4 - Others will fear him who fears Allah. He who obeys Allah will be obeyed. He who obeys Allah will not care for the dissatisfaction of the creatures. He who enrages the Creator should be sure of encountering the dissatisfaction of the creatures.
5- No one can describe Allah with attributes other than these with which He describes Himself. How can anyone describe Him when senses are too short to perceive Him, illusions are too short to comprehend Him, ideas are too short to mark Him, and sights are too short to appreciate Him? He is remote in His nearness and near in His remoteness. He created the how without being asked "How?" and founded the where without being asked "where?" He is out of how and where. He is the One and Only. Exalted be His Majesty and sacred be His Names.
6- Al Hasan-bin-Mas'ud related: One day, one of my fingers was hurt, a rider hit me in the shoulder, and a crowd of people caused my clothes to be torn. In this manner, I visited Abul-Hasan Ali-bin-Mohammed (A.S.) and said: Allah protect me against the evil of such an ill-omen day."
Imam Al-Hadi (A.S.) worded: O Hasan, do you accuse the guiltless of your guilt while you are frequently visiting us?"
I then regained my intellect and noticed my flaw; therefore, I said, "O master, I seek Allah's forgiveness."
The Holy Imam (A.S.) said: O Hasan, what was the fault with days that you regard as evil portent while the fact is that you are punished for your own deeds during them?"
I said, "O Son of Allah's Messenger, I seek Allah's forgiveness and declare my repentance against so."
The Imam (a) then added: To dispraise days and regard them as evil portent is useless for you. Allah, however, will punish you for dispraising the days for matters that are out of their control. O Hasan, do you not know that the only rewarder and punisher for the deeds, sooner of later, is Allah?"
"I know, master," I said.
He (A.S.) then added: Do not repeat it again and do not say that days have any effect in the affairs of Allah.
"I will, master," I said.
7- He who feels secure from Allah's unexpected retribution and painful penalty will feel arrogant until Allah's act and inevitable decree (death) will befall him. He whomever receives evidence from his Lord will belittle the worldly misfortunes even if he is cut into pieces.
8- Dawud As-Sarmi related: My master Imam Al-Hadi (A.S.) ordered me to do many actions then he tested whether I had retained them all. When he noticed that I could not maintain them all, he took a pen and wrote down.
"In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. I will remember it, Insha'Allah. All the matters are in Allah's hand
" I smiled and the Holy Imam(A.S.) asked me about the reason. I said, "Allah make me your sacrifice, this record reminds me of the report that one of our acquaintances related to me on the authority of your grandfather Imam Reza(A.S.). He said that whenever the Imam (A.S.) ordered of a matter, he used to write down: "In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful. I will remember it, Insha'Allah."
The Holy Imam(A.S.) said: O Dawud, I am honest to tell you that the neglector of the Bismillah is as same of the neglector of the
(obligatory) prayers.
9 -The thankful of a grace should be happy for thankfulness more than it is for the grace.
10 - Allah has made this world for testing while He has made the life to come for receiving the result. He has also made the misfortunes of this world the cause of gaining the rewards of the life to come and made the rewards of the life to come as the compensation for the misfortunes of this world.
11 - The clement oppressor is about to be acquitted for his clemency, while the foolish one is about to extinguish the illumination of his right with the blows of his foolishness.
12 -You should present thorough obedience to those who present for you their thorough love and advice.
13 - Do not feel secure from those who disgraced their personalities.
14 - This world is like a market in which some profited and others lost.
15-Do not expect honesty and purity of intention from someone who has suffered from your malice; do not expect loyalty from one to whom you have been disloyal; do not expect goodwill from someone whom you regard with ill-will: his heart towards you is the same as your heart towards him.
16-Others will fear him who fears Allah. He who obeys Allah will be obeyed. He who obeys Allah will not care for the dissatisfaction of the creatures. He who enrages the Creator should be sure of encountering the dissatisfaction of the creatures.
17-You should present thorough obedience to those who present for you their thorough love and advice.
18-He who feels secure from Allah's unexpected retribution and painful penalty will feel arrogant until Allah's act and inevitable decree(death) will befall him.He whomever receives evidence from his Lord will belittle the worldly misfortunes even if he is cut into pieces.
19-There are definite places in which Allah likes the servants to supplicate to Him.One of these places is the tomb of Al-Husayn(A.S.),Sayyid ush-Shuhada(Master of the Martyrs).

`Ali b. Ibrahim from his father from Ibn Abi `Umayr from Hisham b. Salim from Abu `Abdillah (peace be upon him).  He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to `Ali (peace be upon him): O` Ali!Open your food with salt and conclude with salt, for whoso opens his food with salt and concludes with salt is protected from seventy two types from the types of misfortune, from which is al-judhan, insanity and al-baras (another type of leprosy ).  (hasan)

I.M.A.M. | Imam Mahdi Association of Marjaeya
The Day of al Mubahala

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Salaamun Alaikum Dear Believers,

The Imam Mahdi (atf) Association of Marjaeya would like to congratulate you on the blessed occasion of Eid al-Mubahala.
The Event of Mubahala

Glorious Quran Chapter 3 Verse 61:
And unto him who disputeth with thee therein after the knowledge hath come unto thee, Say ! (O' Our Apostle Muhammad) (Unto them) come ye, let us summon our sons, and (ye summon) your sons, and (we summon) our women and (ye) your women, and (we summon) ourselves and then let us invoke the curse of God on the liars.

This verse refers to the famous event of 'al-Mubahala' which took place in the year 10 A.H with the members of Ahlul-Bayt (sa) and the Christians of Najran. A deputation of 60 Christians of Najran headed by Abdul Masih, their chief priest, came and discussed with the Holy Prophet (pbuh&f) about the personality of Nabi 'Isa (as). The Holy Prophet (pbuh&f) told them not to deify Jesus as he was only a mortal created by God, and not God Himself. Then they asked who the father of Jesus was. By this, they thought that since he was born without a father the Holy Prophet (pbuh&f) would helplessly accept Jesus' father being God Himself. In reply to this question, the following verse was revealed:
Indeed, the case of Jesus with Allah is the like the case of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him, 'Be,' and he was. (3:59)
When the Christians did not agree with this line of reasoning, then the aforementioned verse was revealed enjoining the Prophet (pbuh&f) to call the Christians to Mubahala. To this the Christians agreed and they wanted to return to their place and have the Mubahala the next day.

The following morning, the Holy Prophet (pbuh&f) sent Salman al Farsi (May Allah be pleased with him) to an open place fixed outside the city for this historic event. Salman erected a small shelter for the Prophet (pbuh&f) and those he intended to take along with him for the contest. On the opposite side appeared the Christian priests, while at the appointed hour the Christians witnessed the Holy Prophet (pbuh&f) entering the field with Imam Hussain (as) in his lap, Imam Hasan (as) holding his finger and walking beside him along with Lady Fatima (as), and finally with Imam Ali (as) following him.
The Prophet (pbuh&f) reached the appointed spot, stationing himself with his daughter, her two sons and her husband, and raised his hands towards the heavens, supplicating:"Lord, these are the People of my House!" The Chief Monk then knew that the baby in the lap of the Prophet (pbuh&f) was his young grandson, Imam Hussain (as), the child walking holding the Prophet's (pbuh&f) hand was his first grandson, Imam Hasan (as), the Lady behind him was daughter, and the one who followed the Lady was his son in law, the husband of Fatima (as). He addressed the huge crowd of the people who had gathered on the spot, and addressed them saying:

By God, I see the faces which, if they pray to God for mountains to move from their places, the mountains will immediately move ! O believers in the Jesus of Nazareth, I will tell you the truth that should ye fail to enter into some agreement with Muhammad and if these souls whom Muhammad has brought with him curse you, you will be wiped out of existence to the last day of the life of the earth!

The people readily agreed to the advice counseled by their Leader. They beseeched the Holy Prophet (pbuh&f) to give up the idea of the agreed Mubahala and requested for themselves to be allowed to continue their faith while offering to pay the Jizya.

This historic event of a unique triumph of Islam is taken by the Shia as a religious thanksgiving festival to celebrate the victory of truth over falsehood. Some of the significant points of this event are as follows:
  • this event unquestionably establishes the truth about the spiritual purity of the Ahl al Bayt
  • it proves beyond any doubt as to who are the members of the house of the Prophet (pbuh&f)
  • the seriousness and the solemnity of the occasion demands absolute purity, spiritual as well as physical in the individuals to serve in the fateful occasion for the Holy Prophet to present them to God as the best one of His creation to be heard in the prayers of Truth!
