Imām Ja'far ibn Muhammad  al-Sādiq (A.S.) was asked:
 
“Who stopped Firon from killing Prophet Musa (a.s.) as mentioned in this verse: ‘Firon said, ‘Let me kill Musa’ (Surat Ghafir:26)?”

Imām (a.s.) replied, “Because Firon was of legitimate birth and only those of illegitimate birth and children of fornicator women can kill prophets and Divine Proofs.”

1. Attend Majaalis Juloos, don't just listen if some thing is been said ask if you have any doubts, know the aims of Karbala.
2. Take with you your kids, and let them sit beside you, on the way or at home ask them what did they learn?
3. Offer Namaz on time, pay off your dues of Khums and zakat etc.
4. Read the Holy Quran daily at least 10 Ayats with the translation.
5. Be aware of the enemies plots against Islam and Muslims.
6. Maintain unity of Muslim, in regards to justice let all human kind be united.
7. Propagate the Mission of Imam Hussain a.s

Holy Prophet Muhammad  al Mustafā (S.A.W.W)  said:

"I am your Warner and  ‘Alī ibn Abī Tālib is your guide. “Verily you are a Warner and for every group there is a guide” (13:7). Through Hasan, you receive Allāh’s beneficence and through Husain you will achieve either salvation or damnation. Husain is a door from the doors of Paradise; Allāh has made the smell of Paradise HARAAM (unlawful) on those who fight Husain".

Announcement Regarding
The New Crescent for Muharram 1434 AH

Dear Believers in North America,
as-Salamu Alaykum,
   The Crescent Moon Committee of the Council of Shia Muslim Scholars in North America announces that based on reports of sighting the new crescent moon in many different localities at sunset Wednesday, November 14th, therefore Thursday, November 15th will be the First day of Muharram 1434 for the United States and the southern parts of Canada.

   We ask the Almighty Allah to make us successful in establishing the rituals to rememberImam Hussain peace be upon him, through better understanding the purpose of his movement.

was established at the 12th Council of Shia Muslim Scholars in North America in Detroit, September 2012.

Important Events
  • 1st:       The day God answered the prayers of Zakaria and gave him Yahia.
  • 2nd:      Imam Hussain and his caravan arrived to the land of Karbala.
  • 7th:       Water supplies were not allowed to reach Imam Hussain's camp.
  • 10th:     The martyrdom of Imam Hussain and seventy plus of his companions in the land of Karbala.
  • 13th:     The burial of the body of Imam Hussain and his companions,
  • 25th:     The departure of Imam al-Sajad

(On the Day of Judgment, a group would be seen in the most excellent and honourable of states. They would be asked if they were of the Angels or of the Prophets. In reply they would state): "We are‑neither Angels nor Prophets but of the indigent ones from the ummah of Muhammad (S.A.W.)". They would then be asked: "How then did you achieve this lofty and honourable status?" They would reply: "We did not perform very many good deeds nor did we pass all the days in a state of fasting or all the nights in a state of worship but yes, we used to offer our (daily) prayers (regularly) and whenever we used to hear the mention of Muhammad (S.A.W.), tears would roll down our cheeks".  The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.)

He who remembers us, or in whose presence, we are remembered, and (as a result) tears flow from his eyes, even though they may be in the measure of a wing of a mosquito, Allah shall construct for him a house in paradise and make the tears a barrier between him and the fire (of hell).

The breath of one who is aggrieved upon the injustice and oppression subjected to us, is tasbeeh(glorification of Allah), and his grief for us, is i'baadat(worship of Allah) and his concealing our secrets, isjihad in the path of Allah.

The Imam (A.S.) then added: This tradition ought to be written in gold.
