Don't say: "You look tired."
Why: It implies she doesn't look good.
Instead say: "Is everything OK?" We often blurt the "tired" comment when we get the sense that the other person feels out of sorts. So just ask.

Don't say: "Wow, you've lost a ton of weight!"
Why: To a newly trim person, it might give the impression that she used to look unattractive.
Instead say: "You look fantastic." And leave it at that. If you're curious about how she got so svelte, add, "What's your secret?"

Don't say: "You look good for your age."
Why: Anything with a caveat like this is rude. It's saying, "You look
great compared with other old people. It's amazing you have all your own teeth."
Instead say: "You look great."

Don't say: "I could never wear that."
Why: It can be misunderstood as a criticism. ("I could never wear that because it's so ugly.")
Instead say: "You look so good in skinny jeans." If you slip, say something like "I could never wear that…because I wasn't blessed with your long legs."

Umar b. `Ali, from his father `Ali b. Abi Talib [a], who said:
The Prophet [s] said: Tawhid is (to know that) His (Allah's) apparentness is in His hiddenness, and His hiddenness in His aparentness. His apparentness are qualities that cannot be seen, and His hiddenness exists without being concealed. He is sought in all places, and no place is vacant from Him for (even) the blinking of an eye. He is present without being limited, and concealed without being absent.
(Imam Ja`far) al-Sadiq [a] that a man asked him, and he [a] replied to him:
Indeed the foundation of religion is Tawhid and `Adl and an abundance of knowledge regarding them. And there is no excuse for a man of intellect from it (gaining knowledge of Tawhid and `Adl). So attain from it what is easy for you to understand well and are able to memorize.
He [a] then said: As for Tawhid, indeed it is that you do not conceive about your Lord what is conceivable about you. And as for `Adl, it is that you do not attribute to your Creator what is blameworthy for you (to do so).

I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day
I had so much to accomplish
that I didn't have time to pray

Problems just tumbled about me
and heavier came each task
'Why doesn't God help me?' I wondered
He answered, 'You didn't ask'

I wanted to see joy and beauty
but the day toiled on gray and bleak
I wondered why God didn't show me
He said, 'But you didn't seek'

I tried to come into God's presence
I used all my keys at the lock
God gently and lovingly chided
'My servant, you didn't knock'

 Jamee` b. `Umayr, who said:
Abu `Abdillah (al-Sadiq) [a] asked me: Allah is greater than what thing?
He replied: Allah is greater than every thing.
He [a] said: Was there another thing (existing) besides (Allah) that He would be greater than it?
He (narrator) said: So what is it? (i.e., What is the correct meaning of Allahu'Akbar?)
He [a] replied: Allah is greater than can be described. (i.e., Allah is beyond description.)
 Abi `Abdillah (al-Sadiq) [a]. He (narrator) said:
Once a man said Allahu'Akbar (Allah is great) next to him (Imam Sadiq).
He [a] said: Allah is greater than what thing?
He replied: Than all things.
So Abu `Abdillah [a] said: You have limited Him!
So the man said: So how should I say it?
He [a] replied: Allah is greater than can be described.

`Abdullah b. Fadl al-Hashimiy, who said:

I asked Aba `Abdillah Ja`far b. Muhammad [a] about the saying of Allah, Mighty and Exalted,: "
He whom Allah guideth, he indeed is led aright, and he whom He sendeth astray, for him thou wilt not find a guiding friend." [18:17]

He replied: Indeed Allah, Blessed and High, sends astray the unjust on the Day of Qiyamah from His House of Honor, and He will guide the people of faith and righteous deeds to Heaven, just as Allah, Mighty and Exalted, has said: "
and Allah sends wrongdoers astray. And Allah does what He wills." [14:27]. And He has (also) said: "Those who believe, and work righteousness,- their Lord will guide them because of their faith: beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss." [10:9]

I said: (What about) His, Mighty and Exalted, saying, "
and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah." [11:88], and His, Mighty and Exalted be He, saying, "If Allah helps you, none can overcome you: If He forsakes you, who is there, after that, (that can help you?)" [3:160]

He said: When a servant acts in obedience upon what Allah has commanded him, then his action is in accordance to the command of Allah, Mighty and Exalted, and this servant is named "Muwaffiq" (successful). And when a servant desires to enter a thing from (the acts) of disobedience, (then) Allah, Blessed and High, comes in between him and the (act of) disobedience, so he (the servant) leaves it, and this abandoning of it was by the success of Allah, the Most High. And when He (Allah) withdraws from between him (the servant) and the (act of) disobedience, He does not come between him and it until he commits it (the act of disobedience), so indeed (Allah has) abandoned him, and did not help him, and did not grant him success.

 Dealing  Fairly

(Al-Ma'ida 5:9)

O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do. (verse 5:9)

In the Holy Quran, when Allah recounts His blessings to man, he mentions the cow.

Verily in cattle there is a lesson for you. We give you to drink of what is inside their bodies, coming from between the intestines and the blood, a milk pure and pleasant for those who drink it. (an-Nahl, 16:66)

The food that is eaten by the cow is digested in its intestines. From here the blood carries the nourishment to the rest of the body, including the mammary glands where the milk is produced.

Modern science tells us that the processes responsible for the production of milk begin when the contents of the intestine are brought together with the blood. And indeed, this is how the Holy Quran has explained it too.

Thus, the Quran is a reminder for all of mankind until the last hour. It contains information that man discovers in due time. Because this Quran was revealed from Allah's knowledge and every single verse in it was revealed with Allah's knowledge.

Professor Armstrong works at NASA, otherwise known as the national aeronautics and space administration, where he is a well-known scientist there. We met with him and asked a number of questions about Quranic verses dealing with the expertise in astronomy.

We asked him about iron and how it was formed. He explained how all the elements in the earth were formed. He stated that the scientists have come only recently to discover the relevant facts about that formation process. He said that the energy of the early solar system was not sufficient to produce elemental iron. In calculating the energy required to form one atom of iron, it was found to be about four times as much as the energy of the entire solar system, in other words, the entire energy of the earth or the moon or the planet mars or any other planet is not sufficient to form one new atom of iron, even the energy of the entire solar system is not sufficient for that. That is why Professor Armstrong said that the scientists believe that:

Iron is an extraterrestrial that was sent to earth and not formed therein.

And we sent down iron, in which is great might, as well as many benefits for mankind (Quran 57:25).
This is no less than a reminder to (all) the worlds. and you shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while. (Quran 38:87-88).

1 -`Imarah narrated to us, from his father, from Jabir b. Yazid al-Ju`fiy, from Abi Ja`far Muhammad b. `Ali al-Baqir, peace be upon them both,:

He (the narrator said): I asked him (Imam Baqir) about the meaning of "there is no power and no strength except with Allah"

He replied: Its meaning is: There is no power in us to disobey Allah, except through the help of Allah. And there is no strength in us to obey Allah, except through the success (provided) by Allah, Mighty and Exalted.

Ali b. Hatim al-Munqiriy narrated to us, from Mufaddal b. `Umar, who said:
I asked Aba `Abdillah, peace be upon him, about al-`Arsh (the Throne) and al-Kursiy (the Chair), what are they?
He replied: The Throne in one meaning is the entirety of creation, and the Chair is its receptacle, and in another meaning the Throne is the knowledge that Allah has informed His prophets and messengers and authorities about, and the Chair is the knowledge that (Allah) has not informed anyone from his prophets and messengers and authorities, peace be upon them.
 Hafas b. Ghiyath, who said:
I asked Aba `Abdillah (al-Sadiq), peace be upon him, about the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, “His Chair doth extend over the heavens and the earth” [2:255]
He replied: (It is) His knowledge.

Iraq: Kufa Mosque is one of the four significant mosques in Islam i.e. Al-Haraam Mosque (Kaabah), Prophet Mosque and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Since the beginning of the fasting month of Ramadan, Kufa mosque has been receiving hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from inside and outside the country to observe the holy nights of this holy month.

Mo’minin (believers) sit Etakaf here while with the end of the first ten days of Ramadan, number of pilgrims further increases as during the second ten days of Ramadan falls the striking anniversary (Dharbah) of Al-Imam Ali b. Abi Talib (AS).

It was 19th dawn of Ramadan when Ibne Moljim (an evil man) struck his poison-dipped sword on the head of Amir-ol Mo’minin (Master of Believers) Imam Ali (AS) while he was offering the Fajr prayer. Angel Gabriel chanted “Qad Qotela Amirol Mo’minin” (Master of Believers has been slaughtered) while the words of Ali (AS) were “Foztu wa Rabbil Kaabah” (By the Lord of Kaabah I have succeeded).

Pilgrims continue to recite holy Quran and supplications here, offer prayers, sit etakaf, attend Majalis Al-Husseiniy
ah and Shariah gatherings in shape of scholarly circles.

* Imam Sadiq (AS) has said: “The Sun has not risen on a day better than Friday.  When the birds of sky meet one another on this day, they greet one another saying: What a good day!”
*  It is related that the Holy Prophet of Islam (SAW) chose Thursday to leave his room for outside fresh air in the beginning of summer and chose Friday to his return to room in the beginning of winter.”

* It is related that Imam Baqir (AS) has said: “If you decide to give charity, delay it until Friday.”
 * Imam Baqir (AS) has also said: “Throughout Friday night God calls:
-Isn’t there any believing servant who calls upon Me until before dawn so that I will grant his worldly and spiritual request?
-Isn’t there any believing servant who repents his sins before down so that I will forgive him?
-Isn’t there any believing servant whose sustenance is meager and asks Me to increase it before dawn so that I will increase his sustenance?
-Isn’t there any ailing and believing servant who asks Me to heal him before dawn so that I will heal him?
-Isn’t there any imprisoned servant who asks Me to free him from prison so that I will free him from prison?
-Isn’t there any oppressed believing servant who asks Me to take his right from the oppressor before dawn so that I will help him and restore his right?

* Imam Baqir or Imam Sadiq (A.S.) has said:“The believing servant makes a request to God and God too delays it until Friday.”

* The Holy Prophet of Islam (SAW) has said: “Surely Friday is the master of days and the most glorious day of God.  Rather it is superior to Eid-ul-fitr and Eid-ul-azha.
Friday has five advantages:
-God created Adam (AS) on this day.
-God sent down Adam (AS) from paradise to earth on the same day.
-God took the life of Adam on such a day.
-There are hours in Friday when everyone who requests something from God, it will be granted provided that it is lawful.
-Archangels, the heavens, the earth, winds, mountains, and trees fear that the Last Day occurs on such a day.”

* The children of Jacob asked their father to request god to forgive them.  Jacob said: “I will ask for you forgiveness from, my Lord” (Yunus, verse 98).  Interpreting this verse, Imam Sadiq (AS) has said:
“Jacob delayed asking forgiveness until dawn of Friday night.”
There are two hours on Friday when Duas are answered: one is when Friday leader has completed the sermon and the worshippers are prepared for Friday prayer.

THE RECOMPENSE FOR MISSED PRAYER (kaffarah)
(not a substitute for Qaza Sala)
Ref. Manhaj Da’waat
(Please also see below a question answered by Sayyid M. Rizvi about this Salah.)
Someone said to Imam 'Ali [a] "Master, uncountable prayers have been missed by me, which I have not the power to make up. What should I do? Imam 'Ali [a] said: "He who has missed many prayers and can't make them up, should on the last Friday of the Holy Month of Ramadan (known as Jumatul Wida) pray 4 rakats with one salam (i.e. as one prayer) to have the sins of lapsed prayers forgiven, Insha-Allah.
Please note that the lapsed salat must be recited, since this salat will just absolve us of the sin. This salat is a 4 rakat salat (just like Salatul Dhuhr), to be recited as follows:
In each rakat: Surah al Fatiha Once
Surah al-Ikhlas 25 times
Ayatul Kursi (2:255-257) Once
Surah al-Kawther 15 times

After reciting salaam, recite one salawat on the Prophet [s], the recite Shahadatain. as given below and then the dua below:
“Allahuma Yaa Saabiqal Fawti,
Yaa Saami’as-Sawti
Yaa Muhyi-al Idhwaami Ba’adal Mawti
Swalli Alaa Muhammadin wa Aali Muhammadin.
Waj’allee Farajan Wa Makhrajan
Mimmaa Anaa Feehi Innaka Ta’alamu Walaa A’alamu
Wa Naqdiru Walaa Aqdiru
Wa Anta Allamal Ghuyoobi
Yaa Waahibal Atwaaya
Wa Yaa Ghaafirall Khatwaaya
Yaa Saatiral Uyoobi
Subboohun Quddoosun
Rabbul Malaaikati War-Roohu
Waghfirlee Warham Yaa Rabbee.”
O Allah! Oh He who advances forward.
O He who hears all sounds.
O He who revives the dead bones.
O Allah! Bless Muhammad and his family,
and grant them peace
and grant me ease from what you know and I know not,
from what You have power over and I do not have power over;
O knower of that which is hidden.
O Granter of blessings.
O Who is Pure and Holy,
Lord of the Angels and Spirit.
My Lord, have mercy on me,
and forgive me and overlook what you know (of my faults),
for surely You are the High, the Mighty.
And bless Muhammad and his family all of them,
through Your Mercy,
O Most Merciful of those who show mercy.
About the prayers; Imam 'Ali said that this salat is a Kafarah (recompense) for 700 years of (missed) prayer. The narrator asked Imam that people live for seventy or eighty years (on average). The Imam replied that it will then be a recompense for his parents, relatives and children (descendents).
Please note the question and answer below regarding the above-noted salah.

Question:
I recently was advised that on the last Juma of Ramazan, there is a prayer from Imam Ali(AS) that can be recited in lieu of all the previous qaza prayers. That is that if a person has so many qaza prayers that he doesn't know how many or if it is impossible to make them up then on the last Juma he can recite a four rakat prayer, each rakat consisting of Sura Hamd, 25 times sura Ikhlaas, 1 time Ayatul Kursi, and 15 times sura Kauther. Is this true? Can you give some validity to this?

Answer:

I myself was unaware of such a tradition until the recent Ramadhan when someone in Dallas, TX, showed to me a pamphlet printed in Pakistan which contained that hadith. First of all, express any opinion about the validity or otherwise of this hadith until I have checked in our main hadith sources. Secondly, even without looking at the sanad of that so-called hadith, I have my doubts about it. Even the printed version shown to me in Dallas did not say that it is in lieu of all the previous qaza prayers -- it sounded more like it is the kaffara for not saying the praying on time.

Whatever is the outcome of this hadith, the fact remains that one has to perform the qaza prayers even after praying the namaz you have mentioned in your question.
Yours in Iman,
Sayyid M. Rizvi
