The Qur'an has 600 pages approx.. If you divide it on 30 days, that's 20 pages a day. You see, that's difficult to do right? But, if you divide it on the 5 prayers a day, it gets easier:

*If you read 4 pages after every salah in ramadan, then you've completed the Qur'an.

*If you want to complete the Qur'an twice, you read 4 pages before and after every salah.

Imagine if you forward this message, how many people will benefit and complete the Qur'an. And it gets even better, because you would get the reward for them finding it easier to complete.

Success is for those who try.

Stroke has a new indicator
They say if you e.mail this to ten people, you stand a chance of saving one life. Will you send this along?
Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue
Description: 1.1338218502@web.rediffmail.com

I will continue to forward this every time it comes around!

STROKE:
Remember the 1st Three Letters.....S. T. R.

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

It only takes a minute to read this.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR. Read and

Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *
Ask the individual to SMILE.

T *
Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A

SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)

(I.e. It is sunny out today.)

R
*Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency numberimmediatelyand describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is

'crooked', if it goes to one side or the otherthat is also an indication of a stroke.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

I have done my part. Will you?

Imām al-Māhdī (a.t.f.s.) in books of Ahle Sunnah

Holy Prophet Muhammad al Mustafā (S.A.W.W) said:

“Surely, my caliphs, my successors and the proofs of Allāh upon the creatures after me are twelve. The first of them is my brother and the last is my son.’ He (s.a.w.a.) was asked, ‘O Messenger of Allāh  (s.a.w.a.)! Who is your brother?’ He (s.a.w.a.) replied, ‘Ali Ibn Abi Taalib.’ Again he (s.a.w.a.) was questioned, ‘And who is your son?’ He (s.a.w.a.) responded, ‘The Mahdi, who will fill the earth with justice and equality as it would be fraught with injustice and oppression. I swear by the one Who raised me as a giver of glad tidings with truth! If only one day remains for the world to come to an end, Allāh will prolong this day till He brings forth in it my son Mahdi. The Spirit of Allāh, Eesa, the son of Maryam, will descend and pray behind him. The earth will light up with the resplendence of its Lord. His (Mahdi) government will encompass the east and the west."

Are we allowed to adopt children? If yes, then does an adopted girl have to wear Hijab when she becomes nine in front of her `father' and 'brother'? Similarly, in case of an adopted boy, would the 'mother' and 'sister' have to observe Hijab in his presence?
When looking at the issue of adoption from Islamic point of view, we must separate two things: first, the concept of helping orphan and poor children; second, the implications of such a help.
As far as the concept of helping the poor and the orphan is concerned, Islam not only agrees to it but even highly recommends it. In all types of charities, the orphan and the poor are mentioned as the prime eligible recipients for such help.
In case of the rights of the orphan children, Allah is very severe; for example, He says, "Those who 'swallow' the property of the orphans unjustly are actually devouring fire into their bellies, and they shall enter the burning fire." (4:10) Islam fully supports the concept of helping the orphan and poor and taking them under your wings. If there is no one to take care of the orphan and poor children, then this responsibility falls upon the Islamic government. I won't be wrong in saying that as far as the concept of adoption is concerned, there is no difference between Islam and the West.
However, when we come to the implications and legal consequences of adoption, we find some differences between Islam and the present system in the West.
In the Western system, adoption does not only mean that a child is given into the care of another person or persons; it also means that the adopted child will carry the family name of the adoptive parent. For example, if a child named John Stuart Mill is adopted by Mr. William Bourassa, he will become John W. Bourassa. If this adoption took place in infancy, then most probably the child will never come to know his real genealogy or his real family name.
It is this part of the adoption procedure that Islam does not accept. In pre-Islamic Arabia, the adoption system was similar to what we now see in the West: the child even takes the family name of the adoptive father. When Islam came, it categorically rejected this procedure.

An Example from the Life of Prophet Muhammad

When the Prophet married Lady Khadija (peace be upon them), she gave him a slave known as Zayd bin Haritha (Zayd, son of Haritha). The Prophet took such good care of Zayd that their relationship changed from that of a master and a slave into one of father and son. Zayd was one of the first persons to accept Islam. When his father and uncles came to know about his whereabouts, they came to Mecca and told Prophet Muhammad that Zayd had been captured by some thieves and sold into slavery.
The Prophet set him free. But Zayd refused to leave Muhammad and go home with his father. Haritha, the father of Zayd, became very angry and openly declared that from then on, "Zayd is not my son." The Prophet immediately responded by adopting Zayd. Zayd came to be known as Zayd bin Muhammad (Zayd, son of Muhammad).
This continued till after the Prophet migrated to Medina. Zayd had grown up and was now a married man. However, his marriage did not work out. Allah revealed some verses related to Zayd's divorce in which He also talks about the issue of 're-naming' the adopted children. He says, "Nor has He (Allah) made your adopted sons your sons. Such is (only) your (manner of) speech by your mouths. But God tells the truth, and He shows the way. Call them by (the names of) their fathers, that is better in the sight of God." (33:5)
After the revelation of this verse, Zayd was again called Zayd bin Haritha and not Zayd bin Muhammad. However, this change in name did not affect the relationship of the Prophet and Zayd. They were still like father and son.
As the Qur'an says, calling adopted children by the names of their adoptive fathers is contrary to "the truth", and therefore, they must be called by the name of their real fathers.

Implication of This Verse

What this means is that adoption does not change the relationship of a person: adoption does not end the blood relationship between the child and his real parents and siblings, nor does it create a real relationship between him and his adoptive parents and their children.
The practical implications of this view, on the one hand, is that all the rules which apply between blood relatives are still valid: for example, the child will still be mahram to his real siblings, so (s)he cannot marry them; (s)he is also eligible for inheritance from the real parents; and there is no need for Hijab between the child and his/her real family. (With the adoption system in the West, it is quite possible that a person would end up marrying his/her siblings!)
On the other hand, the rules that apply between non-related persons are still valid. For example, adoption would not create the Mahramiyyat between the child and the new family – an adopted girl will have to observe Hijab in presence of her adoptive father and brothers; similarly, the mother and sisters will have to observe Hijab in presence of the adopted son; the adopted child can even marry the child of the adoptive parents. In Islam, the right of inheritance is based on uterine relationship: "Those related by blood are more entitled to [inherit from] each other in the Book of Allah." (8:75) However, the adoptive parents can always use their discretion to write up to one-third of their estate for their adopted child.

Adoption and Foster Relationship

There is only one case of adoption where a sort of semi-familial relationship and Mahramiyyat is created between the adopted child and the adoptive family: when the adopted child is below two years of age and is also breast-fed directly by the adoptive mother for at least a day and a night.
This creates a foster (Riza'i) relationship, and the child is mahram to the new family – there is no need for Hijab, nor can the child marry the real children of the adoptive parents. However, in case of inheritance, even a Riza'i child has not right in the estate of the adoptive parents. But as mentioned above, the adoptive parents can write up to one-third of their estate for their adopted child.

To Summarize

1. Adoption is allowed in Islam.
2. However, changing the family name of the adopted child is not allowed.
3. If the child was two years old or less and was also breast-fed directly by the adoptive mother for at least a day and a night (or fifteen times consequently), then the child will become mahram to the new family – Hijab won't be necessary.
4. If the child was not breast-fed as mentioned above, then he or she will remain non-mahram to the new family.
5. Adoption in Riza'i or non-Riza'i form does not give the adopted child a right to inherit the estate of the adoptive parents, nor does it deprive him/her from inheriting the estate of the real parents. (However, the adoptive parents have the option of writing up to one-third of their estate for their adopted child.)
It is necessary to emphasize that Hijab should not be considered a barrier in the way of adopting an orphan or a poor child. Muslim ladies are expected to wear decent clothes at all times; so, at the most, they will have to put on the scarf. To those used to the Western way of life, this might sound unusual, but one should know that this happens even without the adoption – in case of extended family dwellings, for example, where two married brothers live with their families under the same roof: the wives and Baaligh daughters will have to observe Hijab by wearing decent clothes with a scarf on their heads.

"ZIKR" is praiseworthy at anytime and it is not blameworthy under any circumstances.  Halabi has reported on the authority of Imam Sadiq (as.):
“There is no blame in remembering God even if you are easing nature, for “Zikr” is praiseworthy under any condition.  Do not ever get bored of God’s remembrance.”

Imam Sadiq (A.S.) has also said:

“In what was revealed to Moses (A.S.), it has been poined out: Do not rejoice over much wealth nor abandon My remembrance under any conditon, for much wealth will make you forget sins and abandonment of “Zikr” will make you hard-hearted.”

Abi Hamzeh has reported on the authroity of Imam Baqer (a.s.)
“In the Torah which has not been distorted, it has been pointed out: O Lord! You are too Great and Mighty to be remembered in the assemblies I attend.  God said: O Moses! My rememberance is praiseworthy udner any codition.”

On many occasions, God afflicts man with a tribulation so that he will remember God and invoke Him.  Abol Sabah says” I said to Imam Sadiq (A.S.): Is a believer’s tribulation because of his sin?  The Imam (A.S.) “No, it is because God wishes to hear his supplication and Dua so as to write virtues for him and remove his sins.”
“God does not love any people whom He has not afflicated with tribulation.”
“Great reward is always with great tribulation.”
“God says: Some of My servant’s faith will not remain strong if they are not healthy and wealthy.  I too test them in this way.  In return, some of My servant’s faith will not remain strong if they are not poor and ill.  I will test them too in this way.  Hence your faith will remain strong for them.”

“Whenever God loves a man, He will plunge him into tribulations in a way that when he supplicates God will say: Yes, My servant! I can fulfill your desire but what I have in store for you is better.”
“The disciples of Jesus (a.s.) were complaining to him about harassments by people.  Jesus (a.s.) said:”Believer in world are always grief-sticken.”
It has been reported on authority of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.):
“In paradise there are mansions which are attached to nothing from above nor do they have any column beneath, and God’s servants will not reach them by their deeds.  It was asked: O Messenger of God! Who are the inmates of those mansions? The Holy Prophet said: Those afflicated with tribultions and hardships.”

ZIKR IS PRAISEWORTH IN EVERY PLACE

No human gathering should ever be devoid of God’s rememberance or man leave the gathering without it.  Abu Baseer has reported on the authority of Imam Sadiq (a.s.):

“Never gathered together a people who neither remembered Gor not the household of the Holy Prophet unless that gathering was a source of regret for them on the Day of Judgment.  The he said: Imam Baqer (A.S.) said: Rembering us is as remembering God and remembering our enemies is as remembering Satan.”

The Imam (a.s.) also said: “Whoever wishes to make the scales of his deeds heavy should  say when rising up: Glory be to the Lord of might, who is beyond description and peace be to His messengers, and praise is due to the Lord of the two worlds.”

Hasan ibne Abilhassan Deilami hs reproted on the authority of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.):
“Passing over gahterings where God is remembered, angels stop, weep togther with them and say amen to their Dua.  Whey they ascend the heavens, God says: O My angels! Where have you been? Though He knows better.  They say:”We attended a gathering of “Zikr” and saw men who were praising and glorifyig You and feared Your fire.  Here God says: O My angels! Keep the fire away from them.  I take you witness that I have forgiven them and keep them safe from what they feared.  The angels say: O Lord! Amog them there was one who did not remember You.  God says: I forgave him too for he was present in the gathering.  Never will become wretched, a man sho sits with those who remember God.”

Zikr is Praiseworthy among the Neglectful Ones

“Zikr” among the neglectful ones has been recommended for two reasons:

Firstly:  They will remain safe from tribulation which might befall them.  They may also be delivered thanks to one who remembers God.

Secondly: There are Hadiths in this relation.  Imam Sadiq (a.s.):
“One who remembers God among the neglectful ones is as one who fights for the sake of God instead of escaping from war”.

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) has also said:
“Whoever, remembers God devotedly in market where people are engaged in business and are neglectful, God will have a thousand virtues written for him and on the Day of Judgment he will receive a pardon which has not occurred to any human mind.”

The Best time for “Zikr”

The best time for “Zikr” is dawn, evening forenoon and afternoon.
The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) has said:

“God has said: “O children of Adam! Remember Me moments after dawn and moments before evening.  I too will assume your important affairs.”

Imam Baqer (A.S.) has said:
“Iblise, upon him be God’s curses, disperses his army of night at sunset and sunrise.  Therefore, remember God frequently at these times and seek refuge to Him from the evil of Iblis and his army.  Also take care of your children during these hours, for these two hours are time of negligence.”
In the interpretation of the Holy Quran verse:
“…… and their shadows too at morn and eve.” Iman Sadiq (A.S.) has said:
“It is Dua before sunrise and sunset which is answwered.”

It is Praiseworthy to Remember God in Secret
It is praise worthy to remember God in secret, for it is closer to devotation and far off from hypocrisy. In this connection, the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s) said to Abuzar:
“O Abuzar! Remember God in the form of “Khamel?” Abuzar says: I said: What is “Khamel”? The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said:
It means in secret.”
Ameer al-Momeneen (A.S.) has said:

“Whoever remembers God in secret, his rememberance of God will be taken ito account.  But hypocrites remember God openly and not in sercret about which God says: They do it only to be seen of men and do not remember Allah save a little.
Imam Saidq (A.S.) has said:

“God has said: Whoever remembers Me in secret, I will remember him openly.”

Zararah has reported on the authority of Imam Sadiq (a.s.)
“Angels do not write anything unless they hear it.  God has said: And remember your Lord within yourself humbly and fearing.”  Therefore no one but God knows the reward of this heart-felt ‘zikr’ due to its importance.”

In a Hadith, we read that in a battle, as soon as the army of the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w.s.) reached a land they started reciting loudly.”There is no god save Allah, and God is the Greatest.”  The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said:

“O people, wait! Know that you are not calling upon one who is deaf or absent, rather you are calling upon the All-Hearing who is close to you.”

Answer:
a. Customer's name
b. Customer's partial home address
c. Hotel room number
d. Check-in date and out dates
e. Customer's credit card number and expiration date!
When you hand them back to the front desk your personal information is there for any employee to access by simply scanning the card in the hotel scanner. An employee can take a hand full of cards home and using a scanning device, access the information onto a laptop computer and go shopping at your expense.
Simply put, hotels don't erase the information on these cards until an employee reissues the card to the next hotel guest. At that time, the new guest's information is electronically 'overwritten' on the card and the previous guest's information is thus erased. But until the card is rewritten for the next guest, it usually is kept in a drawer at the front desk with YOUR INFORMATION ON IT!
The bottom line: Keep the cards, take them home with you, or destroy them. NEVER leave them behind in the room or room wastebasket, and NEVER turn them into the front desk when you check out of a room.

A Mirror or a 2-Way Glass?
How can you tell when you are in a room, restroom, Motel etc. With a mirror or a 2-way glass?

Here's how: I thought it was quite interesting! And I Know in about 30 seconds you're going to do what I did
And find the nearest mirror.

Do you know how to determine if a mirror is 2-way or Not? A policewoman who travels all over the US and Gives seminars and techniques for businesswomen passed
This on.

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms,Changing rooms, etc., how many of you know for sureThat the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall
Is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror (I.e., They can see you, but you can't see them)? There have Been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors inFemale changing rooms . It is very difficult to
Positively identify the surface by looking at it.

So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty What type of mirror we are looking at?

Just conduct this simple test: Place the tip of yourFingernailagainst the reflective surface and if there Is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the Nail, then it is GENUINE mirror.

MIRROR IMAGE

However, if your Fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail,
Then BEWARE! IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!

> SNOPES SAYS THIS IS TRUE
There is a whole Surah (chapter) by the name of Luqman in the Holy Quran. This is chapter no.31.
Who was Luqman?
Aqa Mirza Mahdi Pooya, in his Tafseer (commentary) states:
Luqman, it is said, was not a prophet of Allah but was blessed with wisdom. He was the nephew of Prophet Ayyub (as). He lived for one thousand years, from the time of Dawood (as) to the time of Yunus (as).
Once, when he was asleep, angels came and asked if he would like to be Allah's deputy on the earth. To this, he replied that if it was the command from Allah, he would accept it, however, if Allah asked his desire he would like to be excused because it was a great responsibility to dispense justice among men, and he could not bear the burden.
Another saying about Luqman is that he was an Ethiopian carpenter whom the Greek called Aesop. He was a very obedient servant of the Lord, extremely pious and modest who mostly remained silent, engrossed in higher thoughts. His fear of sins was such that he never rejoiced over any gain nor grieved over any loss, even at the death of his children.
It is said that whenever he passed over any vegetation they used to disclose their respective properties latent in them. He used to visit Dawood (as) and discuss with him complicated issues to find out their solution.
DO NOT RELY ON PEOPLE'S PRAISE OR SLANDER
Once, Hazrat Luqman said to his son:
"O my son! Do not rely on people's praise or slander. Although you spend every ounce of your strength, you will not succeed in this affair".
His son said:
"Father! I don't understand a word of what you are saying. I want to see some samples".
Luqman replied: "Let us walk".
They started while having one animal to ride on. Now Luqman rode on the animal, while the son was walking. People seeing this, said:
"How cruel is this old man. Although he is strong, he lets his son walk!"
Luqman told his son: "Did you hear?" He replied: "Yes, I did".
Then Luqman told his son: "Now, you ride the animal and I will follow".
The son rode the animal and Luqman was walking. People said this time: "These father and son are bad people. The father has not trained his son.His son is riding. The father who should get respects, is walking. The son is bad because God will punish him for this act of his. Therefore, both are wrong-doers!"
Luqman asked his son: "Did you hear?" He replied: "Yes".
Then Luqman said: "Let us both ride on the animal".
They both rode on it. People then complained: "There is no mercy in the hearts of these two riders. God will not bless them. They are breaking the back of the animal. They have overloaded it. It was better for one of them to walk and the other to ride".
Luqman told his son:"Did you hear?" He said: "Yes".
Then Luqman said: "Let us both of us walk".
They started walking. They heard people say: "It is strange that they have an animal but they walk."
Then Luqman said to his son: "Can you make people agree with you? Thus, do not look for people's consent, look for God's consent. That will be a source of prosperity both here and in the hereafter".
Prophet Sulaiman (as) was the son of Prophet Dawood (as). He was the only prophet and human being who was granted with a huge and vast kingdom on this earth.
He said:  O my Lord, forgive me, and give me such a dominion as no one after me shall have the like. Verily, You are the great bestower.
Then We made the wind subservient to him, to flow gently at his command whither-soever he desired;
And the devils-the builders and divers of all kinds.
And others bound in fetters.
This is Our gift, so give freely or withhold, without (rendering) an account.   (38: 35-39)
We gave Dawood and Sulaiman knowledge, and they both said: Praise be to Allah, who has preferred us above many of His believing servants.
Sulaiman inherited Dawood, and he said:  O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and have been given (abundance) of all things. Verily this is a manifest grace. (27: 15-16)
The Almighty Allah had given him control over the wind so that it could carry him wherever he wished to go. He (SWT) deputed the jinns and men to serve him under his command and birds were made subservient to him so that they could shelter him under the shade of their wings. Allah (SWT) taught Prophet Sulaiman (as) the language of the birds and granted him with extraordinary power of perception and intelligence.
Once Prophet Sulaiman (as) was on his carpet flying in the air, when he saw on the way a villager walking with his shovels on his back. As the villager heard the zooming sound of the carpet in the air, he looked up and said, Sub-haanallah (Praise be to Allah) what a great kingdom this is which Allah has bestowed to Sulaiman !
When Prophet Sulaiman (as) heard this, he ordered the air to descend him. He landed on the ground and asked the villager about what he had just said. The villager stood respectfully and replied, Sub-haanallah ! I said what a great kingdom this is which Allah has bestowed upon the son of Dawood.
Thereupon, Prophet Sulaiman (as) told him,
Whoever says with full conviction Sub-haanallah once only, it is better than the whole kingdom of the son of Dawood.
All praise is due to Allah and nobody else. Even if anybody is praiseworthy, it is because of Allah (SWT). Most of the time when man accumulates wealth or acquires fame and power, he thinks that they are his personal achievements. What he should remember is that if Allah (SWT) had not wished it, man could not have acquired any of the pomp and glories of the world.
What Prophet Sulaiman (as) implies is that his entire kingdom is nothing but a special favour of Allah (SWT) to him. He alone can give and He therefore alone is worth praising.

"Jinn', i.e., the ethereal beings are quite different from the angels. Angels are pure energies created for fixed duties allotted by God and "Jinn's' are similar beings created of the element of fire generally functioning as the agencies of evil while the angels are the actors of good. But the jinn's are capable of getting their evil corrected and amending their activities for good. Though jinn's are generally wicked or evil beings but there are good and the righteous ones also among them. With the birth of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.), the ways or the means for the jinn's to rise into the higher spheres were stopped and hence they were disabled from stealing any news from the heavens above and hence could no more inspire their victims with the information about the future to mislead mankind, by attracting their attention and faith in them against God and godliness. The jinn's were spread all over the atmosphere in quest of any particular event having occurred on earth to have created this effect detrimental to their activities.
A party of the jinn's passed the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) while he was in prayers reciting the Holy Qur'an. They listened to it and wondered about the contents the recitation conveyed, i.e., about the Unity of God and the purity of faith and conduct which ideas were unknown to the people for centuries together and any thing like that was never heard by them ever before. This party of the jinn's returned to their people and this Sura (chapter 72 "Al-Jinn') contains what they reported to their kind about what they heard and about their embracing Islam.
However, Qur'an and Islamic traditions assert the existence of intelligent beings with eternal bodies other than angels capable of being charged with responsibilities. And due to the fineness of the structure of their bodies, they are capable of doing things beyond the ordinary human power.
Jinn's glorify the Unity of God against the belief in, God having a wife and a son for Him for the Christian belief in a begotten son of God, necessitates also the partnership of a wife for the issue to be born of her. People believed in the protection of the Jinn and used to seek it. Whenever they happened to be in the wilderness or in any dreadful forest, they used to invoke the protection of their own imaginary jinn as the chief of the jinn's of the place saying, "O' Chief of this wilderness, I seek refuge in thee, against the mischief of any of thy wicked subjects." By saying so, the people thought that they were safe. Such false praises had infatuated the jinn's and made them proud to foolishly think that they could be believed as the real guardians of mankind, having authority over their destiny.

Qummi says that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) once went to the market place, Akkaza, along with Zaid bin Haritha to preach the message of Islam. On his (s.a.w.) way back to Mecca he stayed in the valley of Najbah for the night and when he recited the Holy Qur'an, there also assembled some jinn's, one of the groups carried the message of Islam to his kind. It is said that among the jinn's there are believers and disbeliever, good and wicked. It is a proof positive that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) was a Warner to the jinn's as well as to mankind.
Say, "It hast been revealed unto me that a party of the jinn hath heard (the Qur'an) and said: "Verily, we have heard a Recital (Qur'an) (which is) Wonderful. (72:1)
Guideth it unto the Right (Way), wherefore believe we in it; and never will be associate any one with our Lord!" 72:2
"And that He, exalted is the Majesty of our Lord! Hath taken not a wife nor a son." 72:3
"And that want to speak the foolish ones amongst us, against God, atrocious things." 72:4
"And that thought we that never utter the humans and jinn any falsehood against God." 72:5
"And that individuals from among the humans used to seek protection of the individuals from among the jinn's so they increased them (only) in rebellion (against God)." 72:6
"And that they (too) thought, as ye think, never would God raise (from the dead) any one!" 72:7
"And that we sought the heaven but we found it filled with strong guards and flaming darts." 72:8
"And that sat we on some of the seats (there) to (steal) a hearing; but any who would (try now to) listen, findeth a flaming dart in wait for him." 72:9
"And that we understood not (by this) whether evil be meant for them that are on the earth, or whether willeth their Lord to guide them aright." 72:10
"And that some amongst us are good ones, and the others of us are other than that; we are sects following different ways." 72:11
"And that knew we that never can we defeat (the will of) God in the earth, and never can we defeat Him (in His will) by flight." 72:12
"And that, when heard we the guidance, believed we in it; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, the thereafter feareth neither loss nor oppression." 72:13
"And that, of us some are Muslims and of us are the others who are the deviator's (from the right path), and whoever submit these pursue the right guidance." 72:14
"And as for the deviator's, they shall be for the hell, a fuel. . ." 72:15
Ibne Abbas says once the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) said that he was commanded by God to recite the Holy Qur'an to the jinn's and to warn them. He asked his companions as to who would like to accompany him to the recital. None uttered a word save ibne Mas'ood. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) asked thrice but every time there was silence and none replied.
Ibne Mas'ood says that he was taken to the cave called Sheb-e-Haihoon which is on the top of a mountain near Mecca. Arriving at the place, the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) drew a circle round ibne-Mas'ood and commanded him never under any circumstances to step out of the circle, until he (the Holy Prophet "s.a.w.') returns to him and going forward stood there and started reciting the Holy Qur'an and it was night. Ibne Mas'ood says that he saw huge birds and huge serpents that began to gather and started making peculiar noises and he got frightened and became anxious for the safety of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.).
In the sky, he saw a black patch of a cloud like smoke and at dawn everything parted away and the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) returned to Ibne-Mas'ood. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) asked Ibne-Mas'ood as to what he saw and Ibne-Mas'ood related his experience. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) said it was a gathering of about 12,000 jinn's to whom Chapter 113 of the Holy Qur'an was recited.
"And whosoever respondeth not unto the Summoner unto God, yet he can frustrate not God's will in the earth, and there shall not be for him, other than Him, any guardians; these are in manifest error." 46:32
And on the day when He shall gather them all together (and say): "O' assembly of jinn! Ye increased your strength (by seducing a great number) from men;" And will say their friends among the men: "O' Our Lord! Some of us profited by others and We have reached our term which Thou didst appoint for us;"
He shall say: "The (Hell) fire is your abode, be ye the dwellers therein, save what pleaseth God; "Verily thy Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing." 6:129
The actual meaning of the word "Jinn' is the ethereal, invisible beings, i.e., the spirit of evil like the angels who are the spirit of goodness. The existence of such beings is an accepted fact but the word "Jinn' need not mean one and the same everywhere, as it is also used figuratively for the leaders of evil or the notorious persons among the infidels, as the word "Shayateen' meaning devils, is used for the fellow-disbeliever's. According to Ibne Abbas, "Jinn' in this verse means the infidels.
The word "Jinn' is derived from the root word "Janna', i.e., meaning he covered or concealed or he protected. Since the leaders of the infidels, out of their pride kept themselves covered from the commoners and they also remained protected by their worldly positions, the word could be used for them in a figurative reference or address to the wicked beings.
This clearly asserts the existence of unseen beings and agencies of responsible character like man, who have inter-relation in some way or the other with mankind and do influence the weak-minded ones among the human beings to divert them from the right path.
