Mustahab Places for Offering Prayers | for everyone |
902. In Islam, great emphasis is laid on offering prayers in a mosque. Masjidul Haram is superior to all the mosques, and after it, the order of priority is as follows:
- Masjidun Nabi (in Madina)
- Masjid Kufa (in Kufa)
- Masjid Baytul Maqdas (in Jerusalem)
903. * For women, it is better to pray at such places where they are best protected from Na Mahram, regardless of whether that place is her home, a mosque or anywhere else.
904. Namaz in the Shrines of the holy Imams is Mustahab, and is even better than offering prayers in a mosque. It has been reported that the reward for offering prayers in the sacred Shrine of Amirul Mu'minin Imam Ali (p.b.u.h.), is equal to 200,000 prayers.
905. Frequenting a mosque, and going to a mosque which is visited by very few people, is Mustahab. And it is Makrooh for a neighbour of the mosque to pray anywhere other than a mosque, unless he has a justifiable excuse.
906. It is Mustahab that one should not sit to eat with a person who does not attend prayers in a mosque, should not seek his advice, should not be his neighbour, and should not enter into matrimonial bond with his family.

IMPORTANT LESSON OF LIFE-5 | for everyone |
Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister.
I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, “Yes I’ll do it, if it will save her.” As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheeks. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded.
He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, “Will I start to die right away?”
Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand!

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.
“How much is an ice cream sundae?” he asked. “Fifty cents,” replied the waitress. The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it.
“Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?” he inquired.
By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient.
“Thirty-five cents,” she brusquely replied
The little boy again counted his coins.
“I’ll have the plain ice cream,” he said.
The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies..
You see, he couldn’t have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.
IMPORTANT LESSON OF LIFE-2 | for everyone |
One night, at 11:30 p.m. , an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The MN took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab.
She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man’s door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached..
It read: “Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband’s bedside just before he passed away… God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others.”
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nat King Cole.

During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one:
“What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?”
Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name?
I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade.
“Absolutely,” said the professor. “In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello.”
I’ve never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was DorothyLESSONS FROM BAHLOOL-8 | for everyone |
Fazl bin Rabi’ had a mosque constructed in Baghdad . It was decided to place a plaque on its door. The people asked Fazl what should be written on it. Bohlool also happened to be present. He asked Fazl, “Who did you make the mosque for?” Fazl replied, “For Allah.”Bohlool said, “If you made it for Allah then don’t inscribe your name on the plaque.”Fazl angrily said, “Why shouldn’t I have my name inscribed on the tablet? People have to know who the maker of the mosque is!”“Then have it inscribed that the maker of this mosque is Bohlool.”“I certainly will not have that written!”“If you made this mosque for fame and self-show then you have lost your reward.”Fazl became speechless at Bohlool’s words. He said, “Whatever Bohlool says, have that inscribed.”
This time Bohlool said, “Have a verse from the Sacred Qur’an inscribed on the door of the mosque.”
Moral: You should always do all the good deeds for the sake of Allah & be away form inscriibng your names in which you had done some good deeds. As if any thig whcih is done for show-off looses the sawab.

It is said that one day Bohlool went to Haroun, who was busy drinking wine. He wanted to prove that he was safe from forbidden eating and drinking, so he asked Bohlool,
“Is it forbidden to eat grapes?” “No!”
“What if after eating grapes, water is drunk over them?” “There is no harm.”
“After eating the grapes and drinking water, one sits for a while in the sun?” “Even then there is no harm.”
Then the Khalifa said, “Then if grapes and water are placed in the sun for a time, how does it become forbidden?”
Bohlool said, “If some dirt is put on one’s head will it cause any harm?” “No.”
“Afterwards if water is poured on it, will it cause any pain?” “No.” “
If that dirt and water are mixed to make a brick, and thrown on a person’s head, will it cause any pain?”
The Khalifa said, “True, the brick will break a person’s head.”
Bohlool said, “The way dirt and water mixed together break the human’s head and cause him pain; likewise, grapes and water mixed together become such a thing that the law of Shariah forbids it and states it as impure. Drinking wine causes man many troubles and it becomes obligatory to punish its drinker.”
The Khalifa was distressed at Bohlool’s answer, and ordered the wine stock to be removed

Shaykh Junayd Baghdadi went for a walk out of Baghdad . His students followed him. The Shaykh asked how Bohlool was. They answered, “He is a crazy person, what do you need from him?”
“Bring him to me because I have a need for him.”
The students searched for Bohlool and found him in the desert. They took Shaykh Junayd to him. When Shaykh Junayd went near Bohlool, he saw Bohlool in a state of perturbation with a brick under his head. The Shaykh greeted him.
Bohlool answered and asked, “Who are you?”
”I am Junayd Baghdadi.”
Bahlool asked, “Are you Abul Qasim?” “Yes!” replied
the ShaykBahlool asked again “Are you Shaykh Baghdadi who gives people spiritual instructions?” “Yes!”
Then Bahlool asked “Do you even know how to eat?”
Yes “I say Bismillah (In the Name of Allah). I eat from in front of me; I take small bites, put them in the right side of my mouth, and slowly chew. I don’t stare at others’ bites. I remember Allah while eating. For whatever morsel I eat, I say Alhamdolillah (Praise be to Allah). I wash my hands before and after eating.”
Bohlool stood up, shook his garment on the Shaykh, and said, “You want to be the spiritual teacher of the world but you don’t even know how to eat.” Saying this, he walked away.
The Shaykh’s students said, “O Shaykh! He is a crazy person.” Shaykh’s replied, “He is such a lunatic who is intelligent in his work. Listen to the correct statements from him.” Saying this he went after Bohlool, saying, “I have a need for Bohlool.” When Bohlool reached a deserted building he sat down. Junayd came near him.
Bohlool asked, “Who are you?”
“Shaykh Baghdadi who doesn’t even know how to eat.”
“You don’t know how to eat, but do you know how to talk?” “Yes.”
“How do you talk?”
“I talk in moderation and to the point. I don’t speak unoccasionally or too much. I speak so the listeners can understand. I call the world’s people towards Allah and the Prophet. I don’t talk so much that the people would get bored. I care about the deepness of inner and outer knowledge.” Then he described whatever was connected with manners and etiquette.” Bahlool said; forget about eating, you don’t know how to talk either.”
He stood up, shook his garment on the Shaykh and walked away. The students said, “O Shaykh! You saw, he is a crazy person. What do you expect from a lunatic?” Shaykh, “I have a need for him. You do not know.” Again he went after Bohlool until he reached him.
Bohlool asked, “What do you want from me? You who don’t know the manners of eating and speaking, do you know how to sleep?” “Yes, I know.”
“How do you sleep?”
“When I am finished with Namaz-e-Isha and reciting supplications, I don my sleepwear.” Then he described the manners of sleeping which were transmitted to him by the learned people of religion.”I understand that you do not know how to sleep either.” He wanted to get up, but Junayd caught hold of his garment and said, “O Bohlool! I don’t know; so for the sake of Allah teach me.”
Bahlul said” You claimed knowledge and said you knew so I was avoiding you. Now that you confessed your lack of knowledge I will teach you. Know that whatever you described is secondary.
The truth behind eating meals is that you eat lawful morsels. If you eat forbidden food likewise, with one hundred manners, it won’t benefit you, but will be the reason for blackening the heart.” “May Allah grant you great reward.”
Bohlool continued, “The heart must be pure, and have good intentions before you begin to talk. And your conversation must be to please Allah. If it is for any worldly or useless work, then however you express yourself, it will become a calamity for you. That is why silence and quietude would be best.
Whatever you said about sleeping is also of secondary importance.”The truth of it is that your heart should be free of enmity, jealousy, and hate. Your heart should not be greedy for this world or its wealth, and remember Allah when going to sleep.” Junayd kissed Bohlool’s hand and prayed for him. The students who saw this incident, and had thought that Bohlool was crazy, forgot their actions and started a new life.
Moral: The lesson is that if someone doesn’t know something, then he shouldn’t be ashamed of learning it; like Shaykh Junayd learned the ways and manners of eating, talking, and sleeping.

A Baghdadi merchant was sitting in a ship with his slave, and they were going to Basra . Bohlool and some others were also in this ship. The slave started crying because he was afraid of the ship’s turbulent movements. All the travelers became annoyed at this. Bohlool asked the slave’s master permission to quiet him by some advice. The merchant agreed. Bohlool immediately gave the order to throw the slave into the sea. His command was carried out. When the slave was near death, he was rescued. After that experience, the slave quietly sat in a corner of the ship.
The travelers asked Bohlool the reason why this act quieted the slave. Bohlool replied, “This slave didn’t know how comfortable this ship was or what greatness and value it held. When he was thrown into the sea, he understood that this ship is a comfortable and relieving place.”
Moral: We should not cry for our condition in which we are living but thank God for make our life comfortable. We should not think about more comfortable place thant what we have rather whenever we feel ouselves un-comfortable, we should thin or experience for little span of time in umcomfortable place then we will be able to understand how God has made us to live susch a good life.

One day Haroun was passing by on his way somewhere when he saw Bohlool riding a stick (as if it were a horse) and running with children. He called Bohlool who asked,
“What do you want?”
Haroun said, “Criticize me.”
Bohlool said, “Look at the palaces and graves of previous Khalifas with the mind’s eye. This is a great warning. You know very well that these people pass a length of time in their palaces with pleasure and enjoyment, pride and delight. Many regret and grieve over their bad deeds, and are shameful, but know nothing can be a remedy. Know that we are also hurriedly approaching these consequences.”
Bohlool’s advice made Haroun uneasy. He asked, “What should I do that would make Allah happy with me?”
“That deed by which Allah’s creations would be happy with you.”
“What should I do that Allah’s creations would be happy with me?”
“Become just and equitable. What you don’t think proper for yourself, don’t think suitable for others. Listen patiently to the pleas and requests of the oppressed. Give answers nobly, prove yourself true to favors, rule with justice, and give just decisions.”
“Well done Bohlool! You have given very good advice. I give the order to fulfill your debts.”
“Debt from debt is never fulfilled. Today whatever is under your control is the public’s wealth, shower it upon them and do not favor me.”
“Then request something else from me.”
“My request is that you follow my advice, but it is sad that this world’s majesty and splendor has made your heart so hard that my advice will have no effect upon you.”Then Bohlool shook his stick and said,
“Move away! My horse kicks!” He remounted his stick and ran away.

There was a Baghdadi businessman who was known for his equity and good manners. In that time, the things in demand were bought from foreign countries and then he sold them to people at little profit. For this reason, he was popular among the people and became beloved by all. His enemy, a Jewish businessman, was very cruel and unmerciful. The people hated him a lot because he sold his goods at a lot of profit. In the city he used to lend money with much interest. Whichever merchant needed money went to him for a loan, and he gave people money on very hard conditions. As it so happened, the noble merchant needed money also. He went to the Jew and asked for a loan. Since the Jew had an old enmity with him, he said, “I will give you the money on one condition, which is, that if you can’t return the payment as promised, I have the right to cut off any part of your body which equals one pound.”
Since it was on the merchant’s honor, he accepted the condition and wrote a real deed and gave it to the Jew. It said that if on the decided date the debt was not repaid to the Jew, then he had the right to take back the debt and cut one pound of flesh from any part of his body.
It happened that the noble merchant could not return the debt by the appointed date. The Jew filed a complaint in the Judge’s Court. The judge called the merchant. According to the agreement, the merchant was true to his word; the Jew could take one pound of his flesh from whatever part of his body he pleased.
Because of his strong enmity, the Jew wanted to cut such an organ that would cause the merchant to die. The judge kept delaying his decision because he thought that perhaps the Jew would get tired of his bad activities, but the Jew would not agree. Everyday he reminded and demanded his right. This case became known everywhere in Baghdad . Everyone felt sorry for the merchant and his pitiful situation, but there was no way out. As soon as Bohlool heard about this, he went immediately to the Judge’s Court and stood with the other spectators. He gave his full attention to the merchant’s contract, and in the very end said to him, “In the deed you wrote, you acted accordingly and gave permission to the Jew to cut one pound of flesh from your body.
Now say whatever you like as a last attempt to save yourself.”
The merchant loudly said, “O Allah! You know best. That is all.”
Suddenly Bohlool said, “O Judge! For the love of mankind, may I be this oppressed merchant’s lawyer?”
“Yes you may. Present proof to save him.”
Bohlool sat between the merchant and the Jew, got their full attention, and said, “There is no doubt that according to the contract, this person has the right to cut off one pound of flesh from any part of this merchant’s body, but one drop of his blood cannot touch the ground, and the flesh must be cut in such a way that it is exactly one pound, no more, no less. If the flesh is not cut according to these conditions, then as punishment the Jew shall be killed, and his entire wealth and goods shall be rightfully seized by the government.”
The judge became astonished at Bohlool’s explanation and heartily praised him. Helpless, the Jew became satisfied with the repayment of his debt only, so the judge gave the order to return his money.

Bahlul, the wise fool happened to the meet the caliph Harun al-Rashid. ‘Where are you coming from like this, Bahlul?’ the ruler asked him.
’From hell’ was the prompt reply.
’What were you doing there?’
Bahlul explained, ‘Fire was needed, Sire, so I thought of going to Hell to ask if they could spare a little. But the fellow in charge there said, ‘We have no fire here.’ Of course I asked him, ‘How come? Isn’t Hell the place of fire?’ He answered, ‘ I tell you, there really is no fire down here. Everybody brings his own fire with him when he comes.’ “

It is said that Bohlool lived in a desolate house. Across it was a cobbler’s shop which had a window opening towards the house. Bohlool collected a few dirhams and hid them in the dirt. Whenever the need came, he dug up the dirt and took out the needed coins, and buried the rest back again. As it so happened, one day when he needed some coins, he dug the earth and saw that all of his money had disappeared. He immediately understood that the cobbler, whose window faced his house, had taken the coins.
Without making any comment or commotion, Bohlool went and sat by the cobbler to chitchat. Bohlool talked so much that the cobbler became confident and not uneasy. Then Bohlool said, “Beloved friend! Please keep an account for me.”
“You keep talking and I’ll keep adding.”
Bohlool talked about some houses and buildings, and with each he mentioned some coins. Then he said that in the house he now lived in there was buried a certain amount of coins. After that the cobbler added them all up and said that there was a total of 2,000 dinars.
Bohlool thought for a while and said, “O friend! Now I want some advice from you.”
“Okay. Speak.”
“I want to bury all the coins I have at other places in the house that I live in now; what do you think?”
“Very good idea. Bring all the coins you have hidden and bury them in your present house.”
“I agree to this. Now I will go bring all the coins from other places to bury in that house.” Saying this, Bohlool left the cobbler.
The cobbler thought to himself, “I will bury those coins I stole back where they were. When Bohlool brings the other coins, I will find them and take all of them at once.” Thinking this, he returned the stolen coins to their previous place.
A few hours later, Bohlool went to his house and examined the area that he kept his money in and saw that the cobbler had reburied the coins he had stolen. Bohlool took out the coins, thanked Allah, left that house and went to another. The cobbler waited a very long time for Bohlool, but he was not going to be and could not be found. After a while the cobbler finally understood that Bohlool had tricked him, and so had got his money back.
Piety of Amir’ul-Mu’minin, Ali ibn Abu Talib (a.s) | for everyone |
Piety of Amir’ul-Mu’minin, Ali ibn Abu Talib (a.s)
Imam Fakhruddin Razi has written in Arbaeen that in the lifetime of the Prophet (S) a group of companions was famous for its austerity; like Abu Zar Ghiffari, Salman Farsi and Abu Darda etc. All these great personalities followed the example of Ali (a.s) in simplicity and austerity.
It is narrated from Qabida in Majmaul Ahbab fil Manaqib al Ashab that: We have not seen anyone among the people more pious than Ali (a.s).
Ibne Athir has narrated from Hasan bin Salih in Tarikh Kamil that once in the presence of Umar Ibne Abdul Aziz the conversation steered towards piety. He said: Of all the people, Ali (a.s) was the most pious.
It is mentioned in Usud al-Ghaba that Ammar Ibne Yasir has narrated that the Messenger of Allah (S) told Amir’ul-Mu’minin (a.s), “O Ali! The Almighty Allah has bestowed you with such a merit as He has not bestowed anyone else. And that is piety in the world, which is an ornament for the people in view of Allah. Allah has made you such that neither you got anything from the world nor the world got anything from you. He gave you the love for poor people and He made you satisfied by their following you and He made them pleased by making you their Imam.”
It is narrated from Amir’ul-Mu’minin (a.s) that he said, “The Messenger of Allah (S) told me, ‘O Ali! When people became attached to the material world and forsake the Hereafter. Usurp the inheritance of others and destroy the religion and plunder the wealth of Allah; what would be your condition?’ I said, ‘I would leave them and forsake whom they follow. And I would betake Allah, His Prophet and the abode of the Hereafter. I would be patient on worldly calamities and difficulties, till the time I meet you.’ The Prophet said, ‘It is true, you will do this only.’”
Ahmad Ibne Hanbal has written in his Manaqib that one day the Satan suggested to Ali (a.s), “Always keep the public treasury full of wealth and gold coins.” Ali (a.s) came to the Baitul Maal (Public treasury) and ordered that people may be summoned. Then he started distributing till everything was finished and he said, “O Gold and Silver, defraud others.” When the public treasury became empty he ordered it to be sprinkled with water. Then he performed two rakats (Units) of prayers of thankfulness.
It is mentioned in Usdul Ghabah that Imam Hasan (a.s) narrated, “Neither my respected father collected wealth nor he left behind anything, except for six hundred Dirhams with which he desired that slaves may be freed.” In the same book it is narrated from Abu Naeem that he heard Sufyan say, “The Amir (Ali) never placed a brick upon a brick or a bamboo upon a bamboo to construct a house. If he wanted he could have inhabited from Medina to Jurab.”
Ibne Athir has written in Tarikh Kamil that Harun Ibne Antara narrates from his father that he went to Amir’ul-Mu’minin (a.s) to obtain his share of poor people. It was a cold season and Ali (a.s) was shivering as he had only an old cloth thrown over himself. The narrator said to him, “The Almighty Allah has appointed a share for you in the Public Treasury. Why have you not taken anything for yourself?” He replied, “By Allah, I do not like anything of your property. By Allah, this is my own quilt that I had brought with me from Medina .”
It is narrated from Zaid Ibne Abi Wahab that one day Amir’ul-Mu’minin (a.s) came out of his house in such a way that his lower garment was having patches all over it. Ibne Na’ja the Khariji became angry on seeing him and said, “You are the Chief of the believers, such clothes do not befit you.” Imam (a.s) replied, “What concern do you have with my clothes. This dress of mine is remote from pride and it deserves to serve as a model for Muslims.”
Ahmad Ibne Hanbal has written in Manaqib that during the temporal rule of Amir’ul-Mu’minin (a.s) he purchased a shirt worth three dirhams. Its sleeves were somewhat long, which he got shortened. Then he said, “Thanks be to God Who bestowed such a dress.” One day he was standing in the Kufa market to sell his sword, and he kept repeating, “By Allah, if I had the money to purchase this garment, I would not have sold my sword.”
Ahmad Ibne Hanbal has written in Musnad that according to the narrator Suwaid Ibne Ghafla, “One day I went to Amir’ul-Mu’minin (a.s) and found him sitting on an old and tattered sack. I said, “You are the ruler of the Muslims and owner of the Public treasury, and you sit on an old sack? You also have to receive foreign visitors. Don’t you have anything better in your house?” He said, “O Suwaid, a wise man does not become attached to a house that one has to eventually leave. We have the abode of eternity before our eyes, towards which we would soon depart. The diet of the Imam consisted of dry barley bread or grains half filled with husk. One day something special was placed before him. He did not eat anything. He was asked, “Is it unlawful.” He said, “No, but I don’t want to make myself used to things that the Holy Prophet (S) had never consumed.” Once someone said, “The Almighty Allah has made you the owner of a great kingdom, why do you not eat good food?” He replied. “I have heard from the Messenger of Allah (S) say that it is not allowed for the caliph to take more than two measures from public wealth, one measure for himself and one for the guest.”
It is narrated from Suwaid bin Uqbah that, “One day I went to the Imam at the Administrative Headquarters. At that time a loaf of barley bread and a cup of milk were kept in front of him. The bread was so hard and dried that he used to press it with his hands and sometimes with his thighs to break it. I was very disturbed to see it. I told his slave-maid Fizza, “You also do not pity the Amir’ul-Mu’minin? You should at least remove the husk from the flour before making bread. Don’t you see there is so many husks in it?” Fizza said, “What can I do? The Imam has taken an oath from me that I would never sieve the flour to make bread.” The Imam said, “O Suwaid, the Holy Prophet (S) and his Ahl ul-Bayt have never eaten wheat bread to satiation for three consecutive days, and never was the flour sieved for them. One day I was hungry inMedina and I came out to find some work. I saw that a woman had collected mud and was trying to mix it with water (to plaster a wall etc). I told her to give me one piece of date for each bucket of water. I pulled out sixteen buckets for her and my palms became sore. I brought the dates to the Holy Prophet (S) and related to him the whole incident, and then we both shared the dates.”
Zaid says that one day he went to Amir’ul-Mu’minin (a.s) and saw a pot of water kept near him and on the other side was a canvas bag with its mouth sealed. “I thought he would remove precious things from it and give them to me. When the Imam broke the seal and opened the bag I saw that it contained parched barley meal. He took out a handful, mixed it in a cup of water, offered to me and took some himself. I could not restrain myself, and I said, ‘Sir, living in Iraq you have such food? While different kinds of eatables are available here?’ He said, ‘This is sufficient for survival.’ I said, ‘Why do you keep the bag sealed?’ He replied, ‘So that my family may not mix oil etc. in it. I do not want anything to be a part of my diet except barley.’”
It is written in Sharh Nahjul Balagha that the Imam always observed a diet of vinegar and salt. If he exceeded in it he ate some vegetables and if he further increased it, he drank some camel milk. He used to eat very little meat and he said, “Do not make your stomach a graveyard of animals.”

BUT
Whenever you feel like your Gunnah account has reduced and you are feeling uncomfortable because of that, just don’t worry … Go and attend a wedding function of so called “Moderate Family”, you’ll find a complete Gunnah package and those 2-3 hours per function is enough to increase your account. And if the function is of your close relative/friend, then just be prepared for some extra ordinary packages like buy one get many free and special discounts upto 100%.
The story starts with the wedding week when you are invited to join a Mehendi function; as soon as you step out from your home the counter will start or maybe it was started the day when you accepted that invitation and started preparation for it. Hmmmmmmmm, nicely dressed, you reached the invited place, you’ll be greeted with some cool music playing in ultra loud voice and you’ll be seeing some females with proper “western” Hijab greeting your ladies, no need to mention that you are in a mix gathering as there was no other choice for organizers cause the Mehendi function has to be mix gathering as it is a work of Iblees.
Your account has start increasing but there is much more to come so remain excited, now you have two choices (don’t worry both of them will earn you equal Gunnah), either participate in the “Dhoolki and/or Dandiya” performed by girls and boys or remain seated and enjoy the show. Young children must be enjoying the dance and remember DO NOT scold them when they repeat this action at home with their siblings and cousins because you are the one to encourage and develop this notion in them. For most of the children this won’t be a new thing as STAR PLUS has already taught them all these gestures.
And now comes the most disgraceful part of the ceremony, music is on its peak and family members are going to perform Imam Zamin ceremony, with the voice of “Salwat” which will ofcourse muddle up with the music sound, the groom wears Imam Zamin of “YA ALI” and bride wears of “YA FATIMA” and with that Imam Zamin tied on the hand, groom starts shaking hands and taking “Musafa” with Na-Mehram women like Chachi, Bhabbi, Sali etc. etc., still with the “YA ALI” Imam Zamin on the arm, bride’s sisters and cousins do the “ANGHOTA PAKRAI” rasm. This is when girls from bride’s side hold the thumb of groom and demand for certain gift, I am not against the tradition but holding hands without any barrier is what makes it Haram.
Do I need to mention that you can easily convert this Gunnah into “Gunnah-e-Jaria” by just letting the movie maker to shoot your uncovered head in his camera? You can easily earn Gunnah for many years in this way, as the movie will be circulated around the community very regularly. In some cases ultra moderate family will upload it on youtube or some other website of this kind letting the whole world to enjoy the ceremony and without your permission you’ll be seen without Hijab by many Na-Mehrams.
When there are thousands of people hungry and living in worst conditions, and majority of them can be found in our own country (Pakistan, India), it is a mandatory tradition to waste huge amount of food when you know that Allah gave you the meal before this meal and you’ll surely take proper meal after this one then too who cares, one person will collect food for two people and will waste it without a single thought. People use to behave like if this is the first and the last meal in their life time.
Anyways much more can be highlighted on this issue but you can imagine how rich you are at the end of these functions.
Why? Why are we like this, when each of us know that this is not correct then too we do same every time. Why we don’t have courage to reject invitations for such functions where we are dam sure that it will be full of unlawful things? Why don’t we discourage these traditions?
Just because we don’t want the relative/friend to feel bad if we reject the invitation, then what about Allah and Ahlebait (a.s.)? Are the friends superior to Ahlebait (a.s.) that we are giving preference to their displeasure on Ahlebait’s (a.s) displeasure?
I admit that I am also same as all others but I want to change, are you ready to change?
Ask yourself!

AL MAHDI (A.T.F.S.) – THE AWAITED SAVIOUR | for everyone |
AL MAHDI(A.T.F.S.) – THE AWAITED SAVIOUR
“WHEN THE EARTH WILL BE FILLED WITH TYRANNY AND INJUSTICE THE MAHDI WILL RISE AND FILL THE EARTH WITH JUSTICE AND EQUITY. HE WILL BE AMONG THE DECENDANTS OF THE PROPHET AND FROM THE LINE OF FATIMA ”
This connotes that Immam (A.S.) nullifies most of the calamties with this existence, else the plight of the Shias would have been most pitiable)
DUA OF IMAM-E-ZAMANA (A.T.F.S)
O My master! Unfortunate is he who opposed you and fortunate is he who obeyed you. Then be witness for all those things for which I am beseeching your testimony because I am your friend and disgusted with your enemies. Truth is with which you are satisfied, and falsehood is what you detest. Good is what your order and evil is what you prohibit. Then my soul believes in Allah, the One, there is no partner for Him, and in His Messenger, and in Ameerul Momeneen, and in all of you, O my Masters! the first of you and last of you. My assistance is ever-ready for you and my love is purely for you. Ameen. !!!
Then Immam (A.S.) commanded, “It is necessary that you engrave this tradition in gold!

Those A'mal which eases the trouble of Qayamat. | for everyone |
I state hereunder ten such A'amals which eases the troubles and difficulties of Qayamat:
(1) It is related that a person who recites Surah-al-Yusuf daily during the day or night, will arise on the day of Qayamat with the likeness of the beauty of Prophet Yusuf (A.S.), and will be saved from the fear of Qayamat. Imam Mohammad al-Baqir (A.S.) says that a person who recites Surah-ad-Dukhan in Nafela Prayers or obligatory (Wajib) Namaz, will remain safe from the fear of Qayamat.
Imam Ja'far-as-Sadiq (A.S.) says that a person who recites Surah al-Ahqaf on the day or night on friday, will be safe from all fears of this world as well as the hereafter. In another tradition Imam Ja'far-as-Sadiq (A.S.) says that a person who recites Surah-al-Asr in Supererogatory (Nafela) Prayers, will arise in delight on the day of Qayamat. His face will be glowing., and his eyes shining, and he will enter Paradise in this cheerful state.
(2) Shaikh Kulaini narrates from Imam Ja'far-as-Sadiq (A.S.) who says that the Holy Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.S.) said, that whoever respects a man with a white beard, Allah will grant him refuge from the fear of the day of Qayamat.
(3) The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S.) says, that whoever dies while going to Mecca or returning from there, will be saved by Allah from the fear of the day of Qayamat. Shaikh Sadooq quotes the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S.) as saying that whoever dies in the courtyard of the Ka'abah or Masjide Nabawi (in Medina), will arise in a manner that he will be free from all terror and fear.
(4) Shaikh Sadooq quotes Imam Sadiq (A.S.) as saying that whoever is buried in the courtyard of the Ka'bah, will be saved from the fright of Qayamat.
(5) Shaikh Sadooq narrates from the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S.) that He said, if a person guards himself from sins or the lustful passions (of his self), only for the sake and fear of Allah, Allah will make the fire of hell forbidden upon him and keep him away from the fear of Qayamat.
(6) The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S.) says that Allah will grant refuge from the fear of Qayamat to the man who keeps away from the passions of his self.
(7) Shaikh Ali bin Ibraheem Qummi narrates from Imam Mohammad al-Baqir (A.S.) who said that whoever suppresses his anger even after having power (to retaliate), Allah will fill his heart with faith (Eeman), and save him from the terror of Qayamat.
(8) One of the reasons for a person to be free from the fear of Qayamat is the Love (Walayah) of Ali (A.S.). The verdict of the Qur'an regarding it is that it is the best deed. As said in the Holy Qur'an: `Surely as for those for whom the good (Husna) has already gone forth from Us, they shall be kept far off from it. They will not hear it's faintest sound, and they shall abide in that which their souls long for. The great fearful event shall not grieve them, and the Angels shall meet them". (Surah-al-Ambiyah: 101-3) The Holy Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.S.) said, "O Ali You and Your Shiahs will remain under the protection on the day of Qayamat, and the (above mentioned) verse (Ayah) bears witness to it". The word `Husna' used in the above verse (Ayah) means Love (Walayah) of Ali (A.S.) and his Progeny (Ahlulbait). As the Holy Qur'an promises, "whoever brings good, he shall have better than it, and they shall be secure from terror on that day". (Surah-an-Naml : 89) It is quoted in many books of exegesis (Tafseer) of Qur'an viz. Kashaf, Sa'labi, Kabeer etc. that whoever shall arise with the `Goodness (Husna) will be secured on the day of Qayamat, and 'Husna' here means Ali (A.S.). Whoever dies bearing love of Ahlulbait (A.S.) will become pure after repentance, and when he shall arise on the day of Qayamat, a cloud will give shelter on his head, and he will remain safe from the terror of Qayamat and enter Paradise in this manner.
(9) Shaikh Sadooq quotes Imam Ja'far-as-Sadiq (A.S.) as saying that if a person helps a believer brother (mo'min), and free him from anxiety, and fulfills his desires, Allah will offer him seventy two types of favours (ne'mat). One of them is that He will increase his sustenance (Rizq) in this world, and seventy one are that He will guard him against the terrors and hardships of Qayamat.
Many traditions (Ahadees) have been narrated in praise of fulfilling a believer brother's wishes. Imam Mohammad al-Baqir (A.S.) says that, "If a mo'min goes to fulfill the desires of his brother believer, Allah orders the angels to give shade of seventy thousand veils over his head, and before he steps out (to go for help) Allah writes down many virtues in his deed-sheet". Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (A.S.) says Fulfilling a brother believer's wishes is greater than the performance of Haj, Haj, Haj (and repeated it ten times. It means that it is greater than the performance of ten Haj).
It is also narrated that in the Bani Israil there was a pious worshipper who had taken upon himself the obligation to fulfill the wishes of others. Shaikh Shazan bin Jabrail quotes from the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.S.) that on the door of the second heaven he saw the following written:
There is no God but Allah, Mohammad (S.A.W.S.) is His Apostle, Ali (A.S.) is His friend. Verily everything has got a dress, and the dress of the Holy Prophet on the day of Qayamat will be the following four qualities: (1) To fondle with affection the head of an orphan (yateem), (2) To Show kindness towards widows, (3) To go to fulfill the wishes of a believer brother, and (4) to take care of the poor and the needy
Many Ulamas and great men strived to help the believer brothers, and many incidents have been narrated which need not be quoted here for brevity's sake.

(10) Shaikh Kulaini narrates from Imam Ali-ar-Reza (A.S.) that whoever goes to the grave of a believer brother, places his hand on it and recites Surah-al-Qadr seven times, Allah will keep him away from the troubles of Qayamat. In another tradition it is narrated that while reciting Surah-al- Qadr on the grave, one should turn towards the Qibla and dig one's fingers in the mud (of the grave).
I have seen in the "Majmu'ah" of Shaheede Saani that when he went to the grave of his teacher Fakhrul Muhaqqeqeen, he said that the buried person (Fakhrul Muhaqqeqeen) related from his father (Allamah Hilli) who related from Imam Ali-ar-Reza (A.S.) who said that whoever goes to the grave of his brother believer and after reciting Surah-al-Qadr recites the following du'a, both the dead person as well as the person reciting it will be safe from the fear of Qayamat.
